So I totally love all your recipes, and the pictures. I love how they are already so healthy I don’t have to modify the crap out of them. I will be back….and I’m adding you to my google reader!

Janetha,
I remember a while ago a post that you did when you made ‘pasta’ w/ zucchini…
I am craving it so bad! Can you send me a link to that post, or the recipe, whichever is easier.

Hi Janetha,

A mutual friend of ours, Clint, recommended your food blog after I he found out I had just started my own. And perfect timing too, although I try to eat healthy I give in to delicious but not healthy food all the time.

I am about to go on a 5 week eating trip around Europe, so in preparation (and so I don’t end up super huge from gorging myself) am going to be doing a healthy food month this August before I leave. I will be definitely trying out your recipes and writing about cooking/eating them in my new blog!

I will comment on the recipes I try and link back to you site. Come check out mine sometime, although it is still in very early days.

P.S I also broke my humerus, and am the same age as you. Maybe I am your kiwi equivalent, minus the fact that you are super healthy, I only want to be haha.

Mel

Hey Janetha,

I just have to say, what an absolutely inspiring story of discovering a happy, healthy lifestyle, I admire how determined and motivated you were to change your life around!
I know exactly how it feels to be side-lined by an injury, I had a stress fracture in my femur and was out of action for 4 months!
This active chick was noootttt happy, so I totally get you there.

These recipes look delicious, and I cannot wait to hit the kitchen with some and cook up a storm :)

Keep blogging!

I was curious as to how you have gotten your site out to so many people. I mean besides the obvious that it is a great site and I and so many others love your insite, but I am trying to get more friends and more following on facebook. I was hoping you could share some of your knowledge with me. Thanks for doing this site and the great help.
By the way I saw that you liked the workout insanity I am a coach for beachbody and I love that workout so very much. Have you ever considered trying out the shakes from beachbody called shakeology? They are great.
Anyways thanks again in advance for your help and advice.

Hi! I don’t really have any tips, I just blog my heart out and hope people like what I write :) Never tried Shakeokolgy! I have heard of it, but I prefer Plant Fusion and Onnit proteins.

I have never heard of plant fusion and onnit proteins. Where can I learn more about them? Thanks for the response.

I was just wondering if your recipes follow the BFL eating guidelines.

Reply

Janetha March 18, 2013 at 12:55 pm

The majority of the ones under “Clean Eating” are BFL-approved!

Katie July 8, 2013 at 6:10 pm

Ahh!! I love your blog! My hubby & I did BFL several years ago and we were in AMAZING shape! (well…i did not look as awesome as you–but for ME, i felt fantastic!) We have totally slacked for the past few years and now we’re getting back to it! I love the BFL plan. And i’m so excited to see your recipes! I saw where you just posted in March that most of your “clean eating” recipes are BFL approved–so i’m going to try to follow these! What are the rules with dairy? I love me some milk and cheese. I couldn’t really find specifics in the book–although we have a very OLD book that’s falling apart–so i may have missed it. Thank you! Can’t wait to try your recipes!

I am on day 11 of the Advocare 24 day challenge and found your site! Which recipes in particular would be OK to use with this?? I am 60 years old and decided it was time for a healthier lifestyle. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
