doctor’s orders.

by Janetha on November 9, 2011

in random rambles,recipes

remember how i told you guys i had some weird looking moles removed awhile back?  and how the doctor told me i’d have to go back in to have the tissue around said moles removed? well, today was that day!

i had to go get a nice, big chunk taken out of my body today so i don’t run the risk of developing skin cancer. the doctor said it was probably nothing, but it had potential to turn into something, so he wanted to dig around the strange mole area and scoop out all the tissue and sew me up nice and tight. better safe than sorry, i say.

originally i was supposed to get two areas worked on, but the mole on my hand turned out to be nothing threatening like he had originally thought, so he said that area can be left alone unless it grows back. phew—what a relief! i don’t like any sort of medical procedures, so having to only get one area worked on today instead of the two i was expecting was a nice relief.

i went into the dermatologist a little after eleven o’clock and they took me right in.  the doc’s assistant numbed the area—smack dab in the middle of my chest right below my bra line–with a few small needle pricks of solution. it wasn’t bad at all. once the area was numb, i laid my head back and paid no attention to what was going on. even though the area was numb, the pressure i could feel from the instrument digging my flesh out of my body made me pretty woozy. when he stitched me up, the pull from the strings also made me a tad nauseous. i could never work in the medical field. i’m a wimp.

as the doctor was sealing the deal on my incision (quite literally—with some glue), he told me that i won’t be able to work out for two weeks. at first i laughed and thought he was joking, but then he made it perfectly clear that he was dead serious.

i probably looked like i saw a ghost.

“TWO WEEKS?!” i asked, with frustration and shock in my voice.

after a little back and forth, he did tell me that after one week i am free to work my legs, bis/tris, and back.. but no chest, shoulders or abs for two full weeks.

shit.

that really puts a damper in my current training program!

i said, “but today is chest day!”

he said, “haha—nope, it sure isn’t!”

and i sighed.

the doctor also went on to tell me that when i come in for my checkup in december, he will be able to tell if i put any strain on the wound so i better follow his orders.

eep.

i left the doctor’s office feeling discouraged. i had no idea that a simple thirty minute procedure would keep me from my workout plan for two whole weeks. i honestly thought it would just be an in and out thing and i would resume life as usual with my planned workout this evening. his orders really caught me off guard, especially since i feel perfectly fine.

don’t get me wrong, i realize he knows what he is talking about and there are reasons he is ordering me not to work out for two weeks.. but it’s still very frustrating and discouraging. the reasoning behind it is i have multiple layers of stitches beneath my skin and if i lift weights or put strain on the area, the stitches could break before they are supposed to dissolve or the wound could open up. i get it. it makes sense. but that doesn’t make it suck any less.

i know it isn’t the end of the world. i have taken time off from working out many, many times before. in fact, i had to take time off from my current plan, jamie eason’s 12 week trainer, because of my LA trip and the fact that i got sick afterward. that was annoying, but i hopped back on the wagon and just barely finished week 6 strong and have loved the first couple days of week 7 this week. i was planning on posting an update on the program and some progress photos this weekend after i finished week 7.

but now the challenge is on pause. again.

i will still post about the program and i will still do the progress photos. and yes, i will still finish the 12 week program once i can work out again. it will just take a bit longer than anticipated… but that’s life. you gotta roll with the punches, right?

***************************

after the doctor’s office, i stopped at home to eat lunch before heading back to my office since i was already in the neighborhood.

the best part about going home for lunch?

IMG_6955

love those two. they were SO pumped when i came in the door.. they usually don’t expect anyone to be home until later in the day. it’s always fun to surprise them.

lunch was leftovers from last night’s dinner…

i saw nicole’s recipe for creamy chicken & rice soup yesterday morning and starred it because i thought it looked like a great recipe for a cold day. when i asked marshall what he wanted for dinner, he told me chicken & rice soup.  what are the odds?! i already had almost all of the ingredients on hand, i just had to pick up a rotisserie chicken (from costco—5 bucks!), celery and an onion. i followed nicole’s recipe for the most part, but made a few minor changes noted below.

chicken & rice soup

serves six, slightly modified from prevention RD which was slightly modified from budget bytes

ingredients:

  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 T minced garlic
  • 3 large carrots, peeled and diced
  • 4 celery stalks, diced
  • 6 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 16 oz skinless rotisserie chicken breast
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh ground sea salt (i don’t like super salty—you may want to increase this if you like salt)
  • 1 cup trader joe’s brown rice medley, dry
  • 2 T salted butter
  • 2 T whole wheat flour
  • 2 1/2 cups 1% milk

directions:

  1. heat a large pot over medium-high heat. add oil, onion and garlic and sauté until onions are translucent, about five minutes.
  2. add carrots and celery and sauté an additional five minutes.
  3. add broth, chicken, bay leaves, oregano, thyme, pepper, salt and rice to the pot. bring to a boil.
  4. reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. after the soup has simmered for 30 minutes, melt the butter in a small pan. whisk in the flour, followed by the milk. whisk until the mixture thickens a bit.
  6. add the milk mixture to the pot of soup and continue to simmer, covered, until rice is cooked through—about 20 minutes more.
  7. serve with toasted buttered bread and hot sauce, if desired. season soup with additional salt and pepper to achieve desired flavor.

here are the stats based on my substitutions (per serving, without the bread, based on six servings for the whole recipe): 355 calories, 35g carbs, 31g protein, 10g fat, 5g fiber.  awesome, right? and the servings are large! oh, and totally body for life friendly.

the soup turned out DELICIOUS.

IMG_6935

both last night and today with lunch, i ate the soup with a toasted whole wheat english muffin with butter.

IMG_6936

i felt that the soup did need a little kick, so i followed marshall’s lead and stirred in some frank’s in for a little extra oomph.

IMG_6941 IMG_6940

i highly suggest you guys give this recipe a try. it makes a lot and is super inexpensive! this will be made again and again at our house. thanks, nicole!

well.. now that i have a ton of time on my hands since i won’t be working out.. i suppose i will do what any normal person would do…

bake!

be back tomorrow with the results of my baking adventures.

Qs~

1. have you ever been given doctor’s orders that you haaated? what were they?

2. how long can you go without working out before you go stir-crazy?

That sucks! I had a huge mark removed from my ::cough:: breast ::cough::. THAT was awkward! The pulling and tugging and cutting made me feel skeevy, but it wasn’t too bad. I cut my own stitches out which was really freaky!

Within the last couple weeks I messed up my knee. I think I got a bucket-handle tear on my meniscus (knee cartilage). The surgery should only be 15 minutes, but I can’t get back to my usual routine for 4 to 6 MONTHS!!!! I am totally bummed, but trying to find upper body stuff I can do at home and really focus on eating healthy.

Vanessa November 10, 2011 at 10:18 am

This post makes me laugh! Just two weeks ago I had one removed from a worse spot… *cough* down there *cough*. THAT was awkward! I just made awkward jokes the whole time… haha

amy November 10, 2011 at 10:22 am

LOL, now THAT must have been embarrassing! I still laugh when I remember trying to take out my stitches because it was on the underside, so I couldn’t see them from above. I laid down with a mirror on my stomach trying to see them and whining the whole time because I thought I was going to cut myself.

Betty November 9, 2011 at 5:40 pm

all my doctors orders were to be expected.. 2 torn meniscus (different times), a chipped cartilage, broken thumb.. but when i broke my nose, when he reset it, he told me no sports for 6 weeks.. well i went to basketball camp anyway and ended up getting smacked in the face with the ball. needless to say i have a crooked nose (that my dad has offered to pay for plastic surgery) that i wont fix cause i absolutely hate surgery.

those were all the longest times i’ve been without doing SOME kind of physical activity..

Sarah November 9, 2011 at 5:44 pm

Your eats seem very balanced. Do you think you might do a “daily eats” post again a scatter time here or there? I have trigger-fingers with chocolate, rice cakes, and tortillas.

The way you eat and workout kind of remind me of the program I read in “Body Confidence” by Mark MacDonald.

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:04 pm

I can do a daily eats post soon! I’ll try to more often. I basically try to balance my carbs and protein. I loosely follow the Body for Life plan. I’ve never heard of the plan you mentioned, I’ll have to look into it!

Emily November 9, 2011 at 6:03 pm

I’m sorry! I’ve had a few moles removed, but I’ve never been told not to exercise. Must be the location. I’m sure I’d be going stir crazy already. Can you run at all?

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:40 pm

Unfortunately, no. I didn’t expect this because I’ve had miles removed before, too, with no limitations. However, this was digging deep below where the mile was with layers of stitches… So I guess it’s more sensitive :/

dana @ my little celebration November 9, 2011 at 6:08 pm

3 days before I’m stir crazy! Sometimes two! I feel for you!!

Kris November 9, 2011 at 6:11 pm

GAAH, sorry Janetha! but really, I know you’ll eye roll at this but it’s only two weeks and it’s for a good reason, you know? I know.. sorry. yick.

yes – I have been there (I’ve even had muscle biopsy – OWIE!). so yea, I’ve been taken down by docs orders a few times… I look at it like, this is happening for a reason – maybe I would have been out running and twisted my ankle or worse. there’s always perspective. I know that may not help now.

walking? fast paced walking? ;)

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:49 pm

Maybe I should join a matching band?

Heather (Heather's Dish) November 9, 2011 at 6:15 pm

when i miscarried in february the hardest thing to do was to NOT exercise. they said i could walk, but no running or lifting. all i wanted to do was to go out and wear myself out so that i could sleep through the emotional pain better, but i just felt cooped up inside all the time!

wow, that was depressing…but all that to say HANG IN THERE! it’s better to be safe than sorry :)

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:49 pm

That had to be hard. My SIL had the same type of restrictions after she miscarried (she had to have a c section) and I remember she just wanted to run.

Love you.

Becky @ TheBexFactor.com November 9, 2011 at 6:21 pm

Girl, I totally know how you feel for two reasons:

1) I’m a wuss with medical stuff too. When I was in high school we had to get tetanus shots and afterwards I passed out, fell out of my desk and got a concussion. Ever since then, I can’t get blood work or any shots without feeling woozy and have to lie down to avoid passing out in a puddle on the floor.

2) I also just had an unexpected workout break. One week my trainer just quit talking to me (still don’t know why). Then, I got both feet tattooed and afterwards my feet were so swollen for the first week I couldn’t put regular shoes on and the second week still couldn’t wear shoes to avoid rubbing on the healing feet. The third week I got super sick. So here I am a month away from working out and I just am getting back into things. It’s been tough and I feel like I’m weak, out of shape and starting from square one. Even my clothes were getting tight. But just like me, once you heal, you will get right back up there and into the swing of things.

Use the time to get caught up with other things :) Happy healing! <3

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:46 pm

Wow! Hi Becky! It’s so good to hear from you :) best of luck getting back into the groove xo

Tee @ She Writes, Bites, and Window Shops November 9, 2011 at 6:24 pm

oh my gosh that pic of the puppies is absolutely adorable!

Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga November 9, 2011 at 6:26 pm

dr’s orders that I hated? yea for about 40 weeks, pregnancy. I was not having an easy time of it and my orders were to take it incredibly easy. Some times that meant no working out, or very gentle yoga or walking. Nothing strenuous.

Sorry you got blind-sided with this 2 week stuff. I hate when those little ‘forgot to mention it’s…” things derail plans!

Renée November 9, 2011 at 6:29 pm

I feel you. I’m on 6 MONTHS exercise restriction. I hate having all this free time and not being able to move!

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:45 pm

Ugh you win.

Lauren November 9, 2011 at 6:29 pm

Glad you had it removed! I had the same problem when I had my mole removed this summer. I kinda laughed it off when she said no weights or running for 2 weeks, but then realized she was serious. Also, I couldn’t swim in the middle of the summer. I was allowed to do some light cardio like elliptical but that’s it. My doctor told me that exercise could cause bleeding of the site or poor healing with the inside stitches, and it was especially important because the stitches was on my chest and in a sensitive area.

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:45 pm

Sous exactly like my situation! Thanks for reassuring me that it’s best to wait.

Elizabeth @ reads recipes runs November 9, 2011 at 6:34 pm

Awe, I hope it doesn’t hurt too much! I had an intense mole removed from my lower back, and I am totally going to have to go do this! It’s already growing back, and while it’s not dangerous, it could be some day. At least now I know it might take a while to heal, mine is along my pant line on my back, when they did the initial one I didn’t want to wear pants for weeks…

Janetha November 9, 2011 at 6:44 pm

It did hurt to have it done but now it’s waking up and owwwww. I just popped a lortab!

Elizabeth @ reads recipes runs November 9, 2011 at 6:54 pm

Good, there’s no point in feeling more pain than you need to! And you should get an awesome night’s sleep :)

Chels November 9, 2011 at 6:42 pm

Really…for moles, I would never expect that! I had to take a week off about two months ago from a torn obligue muscle. I tried to do the elliptical but that even hurt. I get pretty crazy after several days of no working out. Good luck!!

Julie November 9, 2011 at 6:44 pm

Bummer that you can’t work out! Hope the procedure went well. I had foot surgery last summer and had to be on crutches for seven weeks, and no running for almost 9 months. OUCH! I was completely out of shape when I was finally able to work out again. The only benefit was awesome toned arms from the crutches!

At least you can get back to the legs next week!

Krista (kristastes) November 9, 2011 at 6:45 pm

Dude that blows!! But 2 weeks isn’t so bad…just think that I haven’t been able to run since July 31st and won’t be for another 2 months or more…boo! I am on week 5 of JE’s 12 week trainer and I am loving it as well…not following the food/cardio or doing legs bc of my knee limitations but my arms are getting buff! Thanks to you for posting about it otherwise I’d still be in the dark! :)

janetha November 10, 2011 at 1:46 pm

you totally win–you poor thing!

Krista (kristastes) November 11, 2011 at 5:54 am

Oh I don’t wish that on anybody…but I am way more mobile now!! :)

BroccoliHut November 9, 2011 at 6:47 pm

When I was a senior in high school, I had intensive jaw surgery (think cracking it and restructuring it). The doc told me I couldn’t exercise for 4 weeks, as any activity might jostle the jaw. AGH! I hated it. I actually ended up getting the OK to resume exercise before the 4 weeks were up–hopefully the same will happen for you!

Lauren November 9, 2011 at 6:50 pm

2 weeks will go by in no time! :)

Paige @ Running Around Normcal November 9, 2011 at 7:12 pm

<3 hugs to you, girl! I've had a mole removed and dug out before and it's no fun at all. I've actually been procrastinating on getting one on the back of my thigh removed because that just sounds like torture.

And yeah on the no-working-out thing – one of my clients has been putting off a suspicious mole because we won't get to meet to workout 3 x's a week. I told her come Christmastime I won't be able to meet for 2 weeks anyway, so perfect time to do it.

And lastly….PENNYFACE!!! I let out a squee every time I see her. Esp next to handsome Randy dog :)

Maren November 9, 2011 at 7:17 pm

ahh Yes, going through it right now!! It’s so hard to do only upper body workouts! I go in tomorrow morning to see if I can get my boot off though. Can’t believe it’s been a month already! …so with that being said, the two weeks will FLY. and you will probably be happy you listened to the doc! :)

Nicole, RD November 9, 2011 at 7:39 pm

OW! That sounds painful!! I’m sorry about the workouts, that would be TOUGH! But it’s probably best to follow dr’s orders :( Sadly.

I’m so glad you guys liked the soup! Apparently men LOVE that soup! LOL! :)

Clare November 9, 2011 at 8:08 pm

I have had moles removed a ton of times (one of the benefits of being two shades above Casper). The first time, I was also told not to play sport or workout for 2 weeks. Didn’t listen and 8 years later I still have nasty, nasty keloid scars on my shoulders where the moles were removed… I listened to the two week rule after that.

janetha November 10, 2011 at 1:45 pm

your comment 100% convinced me to follow these orders strictly.

meg November 9, 2011 at 8:16 pm

Bummer! I hope you get to enjoy your time off just a little bit. Life happens while we’re making plans, right? Maybe you can at least take the dogs for a long walk? I’d be getting stir crazy if I were you too.

Tiffany November 9, 2011 at 8:21 pm

Oi vey, getting a chunk of your back taken out does not sound pleasant at all.

I once had bronchitis and an upper respiratory back to back…..right around the time I was going to not only Vegas but Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I missed both trips and it still pisses me off.

momma b. November 9, 2011 at 9:12 pm

You were very brave today!
The soup looks so delicious.
I was a slug for 60 days because of my heart……..it is the pits but it will speed by :)

I love you. Thanks for dinner tonight!!

Mama Pea November 9, 2011 at 9:58 pm

So strange…I had two moles removed about two weeks ago. They were right under my sports bra on my back and luckily everything came back just fine. But I can understand your shock…I think you are like me, and are more a creature of habit than anything. Try to enjoy your little break–use the time to do something you normally wouldn’t take the time to do, whether it’s reading a book, doing a craft, starting your Christmas cards or shopping. Two weeks will be over before you know it!

<3 you!

janetha November 10, 2011 at 1:45 pm

glad they came back fine xoxoxo

Katelyn @ Chef Katelyn November 9, 2011 at 10:23 pm

Ugh, God. Well you know what chica, I think you will do JUST FINE because eating well like you do will keep you on track and then you will bounce right back! Padre’s moles all went away when I was born — not kidding, strange I know — so he never had to have them removed. I might have to have one removed though…scary shit. Love you girl stay well!

Sara @ Nourish and Flourish November 10, 2011 at 12:02 am

Gah, so so sorry, Janetha! This bump in the road is definitely a nuissance, but I know that you’re going to ROCK Jamie Eason’s trainer even more than ever when you get the green light to step back in that gym! Life’s curve balls certainly stink, but they often make us appreciate that which we more or less take for granted from day-to-day.

I’ve been ordered to go exerciseless twice: both times following pelvic stress fractures. I was in so much pain, I obviously wasn’t going to work out, but it didn’t ease the frustration that my workout regimen had been disrupted! I can totally imagine that *not* feeling pain makes it even harder. Even though you’re not lifting for 14 days, feel STRONG knowing that you’re doing what’s right for your body.

Love you! <3

Carla Runs The World November 10, 2011 at 12:24 am

Ugh, I just had a mole removed from my butt a couple of months ago, and though it was painless, it was nauseating, feeling them cutting and cutting and cutting. I could feel the pressure, but no pain. I left feeling sick. (But I no longer have a weird mole growing in between my butt cheeks — TMI? — so it was all worth it!)

melissanibbles November 10, 2011 at 3:29 am

I’ve had to take time off because of doctor’s orders before. Three months! And you know what? I didn’t gain or lose weight. Can you still go for walks? Going for long walks is my favorite form of low intensity exercise. Walking is very underrated.

janetha November 10, 2011 at 1:44 pm

i wish it wasn’t dark and 30 degrees when i get off work. maybe i will walk on the treadmill! xo

cathy@1970kikiproject November 10, 2011 at 4:19 am

man, sorry you were blindsided, j. although would the news be any easier to swallow if you had known ahead of time you’d have two weeks of no workouts?? not easy, any way you look at it!
if you can go for walks, that may help??
it seems by the comments that many people have been in this situation – i agree with mama pea -> do some christmas/holiday prep??
hang in there!!

chelsey @ clean eating chelsey November 10, 2011 at 5:13 am

No fun! That is really frustrating, especially since you don’t feel injured/sick/etc. I had a hard time not working out last week for like 5 days when my knee hurt. I can only imagine!

Hope @ With A Side Of Hope November 10, 2011 at 5:45 am

I’m sorry that you aren’t able to work out. It’s for the best though because you don’t want the incision to open. Before you know it, you will be able to work out again. It will go by quick. :)

That soup looks delicious! I am definitely going to try making it. I always love eating soup once it’s gets cold out. It’s so comforting.

You’re always SO inspiring with your workout dedication. I remember you had to put Insanity on hold for a while, but then you got right back to it and finished. You’re awesome.
P.S. We’re getting back lots of YES’S!! :)

Laura November 10, 2011 at 6:21 am

OOof, hang in there lady! I broke my foot last April just as the weather was getting nice, and the outdoor runner in me was confined to crutches and inactivity. Toootally not fun, but on the upside, made me appreciate running more so than before! In hindsight, rest is always a good thing :)

Morgan @ Life After Bagels November 10, 2011 at 6:33 am

geez we seem to be having the same medical problems – I was also having digestion issues and have visited a colon surgeon a few times in the last couple of months and I’m going to the dermatologist tomorrow to have a mole on my hand looked at … weeeeeeird :P

Susan November 10, 2011 at 6:57 am

Whoa, I totally get where you’re coming from. I’d be a little shocked too. Would have been nice to know before the procedure, eh? I’m with Melissa that you should walk during your time off! That’s my main form of exercise these days and I kind of love it. I just put on a podcast, grab the dog, and hit a nearby trail. Even if I don’t get all sweaty and endorphinated, being out in the fresh air helps me from feeling like a gross lump on the couch.

Believe it or not these days my doctors nag me to exercise more often than not. But I remember being on bed rest because of my blood clots. I felt absolutely FINE and had to call a nurse just to take 5 steps to the bathroom. It was awful and ridiculous and I bitched about it to no end (and still am! haha).

Love you JG! And LOVE that picture of the pups! Too cute.

janetha November 10, 2011 at 1:43 pm

yes–you DO know where i am coming from.. and then some!

Katy Widrick November 10, 2011 at 7:36 am

I had a mole removed (same place as you!) a few months ago, and had been chatting with the doctor about my triathlon training. She did the procedure, I sat up and she told me: OK, no swimming for at least 48 hours.

My triathlon was two days later! I must have turned white, because she immediately asked when my triathlon was. I told her that weekend, and while she cringed and told me normally, she’d tell me to stay out of the water, I could swim if I put special medicine and tons of bandages on the wound.

Ugh…close call.

janetha November 10, 2011 at 1:43 pm

see–that’s what i don’t get, why wouldn’t the talk about that BEFORE the procedure!

Kerryne November 10, 2011 at 7:51 am

Oh MAN! That really stinks. I hate getting news like that when your right in the middle of something! SHOOT! You can kill it in two weeks though. I hope the tests all come out clean.

Funny. When I worked at Applebee’s years ago I always loved when they had the Chicken noodle soup and I would toss a ramekin of buffalo wing sauce in it. I will still order it that way today. SO DANG GOOD! I love Franks sauce, have a bottle myself that frequently ends up on my sandwiches and salads :)

Christin November 10, 2011 at 7:58 am

Oh man I know JUST how you feel! I had stage 1 melanoma on my left leg…I found out about it and they removed it about a week before a big dance performance, and guess what? I wasn’t allowed to do the performance! I was sooooo bummed :( BUT looking back, if I had waited even a week more the cancer could have spread to my lymph nodes…

Skin cancer is nothing to be trifled with…it seems like no big deal if they remove a couple moles and scoop them out a bit, but your odds of survival drop really dramatically after stage 1 which is over 90% survival rate…50-70% chance at stage 2, and only 15-20% at stage 4.

Don’t let the setback get to you…just think of it as part of the plan on a larger scale…you’ll be back to your workouts in no time…you did the best thing you could possibly do by getting suspicious and potential skin cancer cells removed…much more important long term for your health! :)

Kait November 10, 2011 at 8:59 am

Ugh sorry this happened…I go stir crazy after a couple of days, partially because I miss the workout high and partially because I know it’ll be that much harder to get back into the routine (and I’ll be tight and sore and a whole host of other unpleasant feelings). A couple of years ago I had an awful case of bronchitis and could barely climb a flight of stairs without wheezing uncontrollably. I avoided getting admitted to the ER but no exercise for me! Good luck!

Sara November 10, 2011 at 9:18 am

I’m commenting! :)

I’m so sorry to hear that you can’t exercise. But, knowing you, you won’t let this get to you and you’ll be back HIITing in no time. Hope the results come back favorable.

Looking forward to your baking posts. I adore baking. But, right now, all I have is a kitchenette and no counter space so baking is kind of hard. ha! When I visit my folks I plan on turning into Betty Crocker.

Felicia (Natural + Balanced) November 10, 2011 at 9:20 am

hang in there girl. i know how frustrating it is to put a hold on workouts, especially when you neeeed them in your life! i love jamies live fit trainer, and looking forward to your updates. in the mean time, try focusing on other body parts that you CAN workout and totally kill it :)

So glad to heard you liked the recipe because it’s on my list to make next week! Wahoo.

Sux that you can’t workout, but guess you gotta do what the doc says. It’s better to have it removed and not workout for a couple weeks than it turning into something later.

Oh and I totally hate that tugging feeling you still *feel* when you’re numbed. Just reading about it made me feel a lil woozy!

Im glad that you are ok and that you are smart to get things like that checked out, some people ignore stuff like that, and it could be bad!

Glad you are ok, and dont stress about not working out girl, its ok! Sometimes a break does the body good!

Love you!

SO glad you got that stuff, was not upset, just worried it didn’t get there! Love u!!!!

I know exactly how you feel — trust me! You’ll get through the two weeks, though. I promise.

As for catching this early, I am so glad you got it removed and saved yourself from developing skin cancer later. Good for you for being on top of it!
