three things thursday.

by Janetha on November 3, 2011

in random rambles

first of all, happy national sandwich day! did you celebrate?

i did this morning (and every other morning this week) with my current favorite breakfast: a fried egg and 2 slices of applegate farms ham sandwiched between a toasted double fiber english muffin slathered with a wedge of laughing cow cheese. i have been making this every morning, wrapping it in foil to take to work then eating it at my desk with my coffee (spiked with a tea bag.) i am sure i will tire of this sandwich combo after awhile and go back to protein shakes or oatmeal.. but for now, this savory sandwich is doing it for me!

the stats are pretty amazing, too: 300 calories, 30g carbs, 23g protein, 13g fat and 8g fiber.

no photo because, well, i have never bothered to take one before wrapping the sandwich in foil and once i unwrap it at my desk, it’s basically gone before i can think twice. so tasty.

because today is thursday and we aren’t fortunate enough to read melissa’s weekly rant anymore (I MISS YOUR FEATURE MELISSA!), i am going to do a three things thursday of my own. plus, i already highlighted some awesome things this week.. so that leaves a little room for bitching. here they are—my top three irks as of late.

1. not being able to be in two places at once.

fair warning: i may sound like a total brat with this one, but hey, i am bummed and have the right to be.

this weekend is the third annual foodbuzz festival. i went to the first two and had the time of my life at both festivals…

flashback!

foodbuzz 2009 roomies: danica, allison, jasmine, quinn & ashley

foodbuzz 2010 roomies: danica, elise, susan & holly.

but this weekend, the foodbuzz festival happens to fall on the same weekend as my sweet niece lucy’s baptism… in san diego. i am not complaining that i have to go to san diego—in fact, i am super stoked! i can’t wait to see my family. i am just really sad that i have to miss the festival. it’s something i always look forward to and it’s a shame that i can’t double myself and double the fun filled weekend. i’ll be at you next year, foodbuzz festival.

oh, and on the total upside for marshall, the packers/chargers game happens to be this weekend and we will be going to the game. yes, his very first NFL game ever! he is so excited. me? not so much. for the game, that is. but i am totally excited for him. i know he is thrilled.

2. MICE!

disclaimer: stop eating anything you may be eating at the moment or just don’t read this.

we have mice. it’s bad. i have been finding mouse poop in various places around my kitchen.. behind my washing machine.. under the sink.. AND IN MY OVEN.

yes.

in my oven.

mouse shit.

we have a double oven, and we store our cast iron skillets (passed down from marshall’s grandparents—they are seasoned with years and years!) in the upper oven.  each morning this week, i have grabbed a skillet to make my egg sandwich that i talked about at the beginning of this post… and each morning, there has been new mouse poop in the skillet!

djhwklhfurejagltfwujksjkcsd.

gross. i sincerely hope you aren’t eating anything right now. or throwing up on your monitor. i have been using a skillet we hang from the pot rack instead and have been washing the cast iron skillets.. which we don’t like to wash with soap because of the whole seasoned-for-years thing. soap and cast iron skillets just don’t go hand in hand. but when there is mouse poop involved, there is no other option.

we have a pest control guy coming today. here’s hoping this is my last rant about mice.. for both of our sakes.

ugh.

3. the fact that eating candy just makes me want more candy.

i don’t eat candy very often. in fact, i didn’t eat a single piece in all of 2009 because giving it up was my new years resolution. i would rather have ice cream, cookies, brownies or cereal instead of candy. it’s just not my thing.

however, it has become my “thing” this week! i have a basket of candy on my desk at work that i am never tempted by. i usually just don’t have the desire to eat anything from the basket. this week, however, i just cannot stop. i started on monday—halloween—with a mini snickers.. then on halloween night i ate more snickers. and milk duds. and twizzlers. and skittles. and i really wished i had a twix. man, if there is one candy i do love, it is twix.

the next day, i ate probably ten mini candy bars out of my basket at work. i texted marshall.

photo

wait, what? why? why does my tongue think it needs so much candy now?! stupid tongue.

it’s a hard habit to break and i just don’t want to get INTO the habit because i know how tough it can be to get OUT of the habit. but, alas, i have eaten three more pieces as i type this post.

damnit.

why is sugar like that? why can’t i eat a plate of broccoli and have some crazy urge to eat more vegetables? that’s really how it should work.

welp, that’s all from me for tonight. i’ve said enough and then some. i’m off to the gym for day 39 of jamie eason’s livefit trainer. i plan to do a check in post about the program soon!

have a great night—friday tomorrow! hooray!

Q~

what’s bugging you this week?

Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries November 3, 2011 at 8:00 pm

Haha no kidding about that damn candy! I can’t stop eating it either! I swear it’s everywhere, and it feels almost impossible to say no. Oh Halloween, thank you for feeding me WAY too much candy…

Katie November 3, 2011 at 8:27 pm

People getting in my way at the gym, especially people who sit & chat on the mats when it’s clear they are doing nothing…!

Lauren November 3, 2011 at 8:33 pm

I’ve never really been into candy either but every so often, I get that itch and then usually overdo it too. No worries, it’ll pass. :) Have a great trip!

Missy November 3, 2011 at 8:38 pm

I hate that about Foodbuzz – but there IS next year and only one baptism for your Lucy! I know you will be missed though.
I hate mice – we had them last year. It makes you so paranoid and have to everything! But for your cast iron – after you wash it,coat with oil and rub – even add salt to it if you get any rust. I usually always add salt/oil to clean. But i’m sure you already know how to re-season! ;)
I am excited for the Packers game! I’d love to go! i’ll look for ya on TV!

True on the candy – hard to stop once you start!
Have fun in SD!!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:03 am

Haha maybe we will make a cameo?!

Lauren @ What Lauren Likes November 3, 2011 at 8:46 pm

Happy Sammie day! Definetly celebrated with a toasted pb&j with banana :)

kalin November 3, 2011 at 8:48 pm

um, so we’re not just wedding date twins, we also both have our husbands in our phones as “husband”? love it.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:03 am

YES!

Carrie@shrinkingcarrie November 3, 2011 at 8:51 pm

Let me ease your mind about a football game by saying that they are TOTALLY DIFFERENT when you actually go to the game! My hub’s is a die hard Colts fan and we got to go to a game 3 years ago and it was awesome (that is saying a lot, I won’t even watch football on tv)! I wouldn’t hesitate to go again. Seriously.
And i’ve had the same issue with candy, and twix is also my favorite. I’m pretty sure that I ate them all out of my ginormous bag of Halloween candy before we even got any trick-or-treater’s. Not good.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:04 am

Thank you, that DOES make me feel better!

eef November 3, 2011 at 8:53 pm

i’m really annoyed that they closed our gym. with no warning! they transferred our membership to la fitness, but it’s not nearly as convenient. cardinal was a mile from my house down a nice walking/biking trail. la fitness is only 3 miles, but not very bike or walk/jog friendly. at all.

here’s the article. lame. http://www.ibj.com/cardinal-fitness-closing-six-area-fitness-centers/PARAMS/article/30510

they could have at least given me a heads up! i was about to start day 30 of jamie eason’s program and this kind of threw a wrench into my routine!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:04 am

dude. i would be PISSED.

lindsay November 3, 2011 at 8:57 pm

one day I’d like to go to a blog conference. Gotta save up! Or maybe i’ll just come to UTAH instead. Shall i bring a mice trap and reeses candy?

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:04 am

yes. come. bring twix.

Kerryne November 3, 2011 at 8:57 pm

SERIOUSLY. I am having a very serious candy issue myself. I put it up and away in the cupboard so that if I couldn’t SEE it staring at me all day every day I likely wouldn’t want to eat it. Well that is working… to an extent but today I thought… you know what I have been great with my meals. I deserve just ONE little candy bar. So I had ONE Pumpkin peanut butter cup… and than I wanted more and more… I stopped… had some string cheese to get the taste of chocolate out of my mouth, then had two tootsie rolls.

Gah!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:05 am

Haha I can tooootally relate. totally.

Maren November 3, 2011 at 8:58 pm

hahaha oh man you’ve got some shittiness going on! …literally! Sorry, I had to. I made some ridiculously awesome enchiladas that you need to try http://www.skinnytaste.com/2010/04/turkey-and-black-bean-enchiladas.html

Hope you don’t mind the link. Thank God I just finished them before I read about your mice problem. Hope that gets fixed ASAP! I had one fun size package of pb m&m’s and that’s it. Very proud of myself.

What’s bugging me is that I can’t do all the easy little things around that house that I am usually so anal about because I just get too tired! Hopefully only one more week!!

Hope you have an awesome trip to SD! Lucky girl! It’ll be an absolute blast I’m sure!! Hope Marshall has fun at the game, too! :) Safe travels!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:06 am

Thanks for the link! Send em anytime. Sorry about your injury. That blows =/ love you!

Green Dog Wine November 3, 2011 at 9:20 pm

awwww I MISS YOU! god – 2009 – those were the days! ;) big hugs!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:07 am

miss you too, mama!

Lindsay @ Lindsay's List November 3, 2011 at 9:22 pm

can i just say that I LOVE these ramblish types of posts!! True Janetha style.
you’re my gal!

Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga November 3, 2011 at 9:31 pm

I hope you have fun in San Diego and it’s chilly here and the weather for the weekend is not looking so hot, so if you havent left yet and are still packing, pack some warm things.

I hope you have a great time here but I know you’re bummed that you’re missing FBuzz. There’s always 2012, right? :)

Cait @ Cait hates Cake November 3, 2011 at 9:36 pm

Ugh! Too bad about the mice. I think they are cute. But not when they are in your house and POOPING in your kitchen. Not cute.

What’s bugging me this week- my dog. He won’t stop trying to dig to China through the couch. Poor couch. Poor expensive couch. On a positive note, tomorrow is Friday.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:08 am

This made me giggle, but yes.. your poor couch :(

Betty November 3, 2011 at 9:39 pm

the thing that is bothering me is my lack of motivation for studying when i have the first section of the CPA exam in 19 days.. 1 9 DAYSSS. ahhh. i would rather clean, workout, and cook.. and grocery shop instead of study. blah.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:10 am

you know it’s bad when you would rather grocery shop!

Krissie J November 3, 2011 at 9:39 pm

Well, you read what was eating me this week, so no need to repeat, hah. I am sorry you have mice issues! I had that in college thanks to other apartment dwellers being totally disgusting. Part of what finally convinced to get Aki (I’d wanted a pet for a while). She only caught one mouse in the whole time I’ve had her, but it was the only mouse I’ve ever seen since having her.

Hope the exterminator gets them out! I had the same issue this summer but with ants. OMG so much food was tossed.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:10 am

penny caught and killed one of the mice! who needs a cat… right…

Mary Legare Whaley November 3, 2011 at 9:41 pm

Hmm. Nothing’s bugging me too much right now, except I’m tired of the sun not rising til like 7:45 every morning (that won’t be an issue after this weekend yay). I too had a mouse last year. Literally. One mouse. He left tiny poops in random places. I was horrified and disgusted. I set traps, but he was a smart little bastard. He would take the bait, sometimes set off the traps, but he was nowhere to be found. I set up a webcam to see what he was doing, but he never showed up when the webcam was set. Finally, I glued the bait to the trap. He set it off one night. Didn’t get caught…but he totally got smashed in the head so he was wonked out, and I found him one Sunday morning walking around in circles in my guest room. I captured him in an ASICS shoe box, and tossed him in the trash. Terrible. But I never had another mouse. He got in through my crawl space when the little trap door was open, check all spaces that they can squeeze in. You don’t want dead mice in your walls (exterminators just set traps and leave poison). Best of luck. Feel free to ask for advice, I did a LOT of research last winter…

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:11 am

oh my gosh. you set up a webcam! you are my hero. i love how much you looked into this situation and i am so glad you remedied it. i am going to close up a few spots–they are coming in through a hole in the crawl space to the kitchen =/

chelsey @ clean eating chelsey November 3, 2011 at 9:46 pm

Okay, we are apparently baptism twins. I had a plane ticket all booked and then my cousin asked me to be ehr daughter’s godmother.. and the baptism is on Sunday of all days. It was an absolute no brainer for me as family comes first, but I’m totally bummed!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:11 am

i guess it wasn’t meant to be =/ next year?!

Naomi(onefitfoodie) November 3, 2011 at 9:57 pm

I am pretty bummed that we switch out clocks back and the sun is setting at 430pm!! ahh I am so not ready for winter time! oh well…such is life!

that sadnwich sounds delicious but I am a more ‘sweet’ breakfast person reather than savory but I would have that mid morning for sure!

Janna November 3, 2011 at 10:10 pm

That breakfast sounds good. I’ve been doing shakes with protein, flaxseed oil, and a ton of fruit. But I don’t think this is working for me. I have a feeling that smoothies = gas buildup, but I could be wrong. I can’t win no matter what I eat!

Susan November 3, 2011 at 10:10 pm

I totally spaced that this weekend is Foodbuzz. How did it get here so quickly? I’m bummed I can’t be there again this year too. I could really go for some Janetha time and a morning bun from Tartine right about now. BUT family time and healing time are just as important I guess.

You know what’s also bumming me out this week? I CAN’T EAT CHEESE. And bananas, and peanut butter, and booze. I have these crazy new dietary restrictions with my new chemo drugs. Lame times a million.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:12 am

LAME LAME LAME LAME.

Tara @ Sweat like a Pig November 3, 2011 at 10:11 pm

There have been many studies that have shown that sugar is as addictive as cocanie. Once I don’t have it for a while, I honestly don’t miss it. In fact, all of my cravings disappear if I don’t have sugar in my diet. The second I have a piece of chocolate or a scoop of ice cream, though, all I can think about for the next week is having more!

Kait November 4, 2011 at 10:31 am

You totally stole my thunder Tara…glad I read through the comments before repeating! I’m going to expand (aka geek out) a little though

Evolutionarily speaking, sugar and fat were commodity foods so our brains are hardwired to crave them because they naturally come paired with filling and wholesome nutrients (think fruit, nuts, other hunter-gatherer foods). Additionally, since a food source wasn’t always guaranteed, these flavors provide us with a large number of calories that would allow us to get through any lean times.

In other words, its almost winter and the days are getting shorter so your body is signalling that you need to stock up on sugar and fat so you can survive the season. <–which doesn't really exist anymore because of our modern food system. Honestly, you eat healthily so I think it'll pass. And if not, you know what to do. That's the best thing about getting into a food rut once you've already overcome that certain issue: you already know you can go sugar/dairy/etc-free again.

Enjoy San Diego! I hate having to give up festivals for anything but I bet it'll be a wonderful experience!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:30 am

haha YES i love the sugar thoughts here. i know it is so addicting and when i did my sugar free challenge i felt 1000x better and had NO cravings. i need to do that again!

Kait November 5, 2011 at 10:44 am

I have done sugar- and dairy-free weeks in the past to help break my addictions. I then reintroduced the foods slowly and selectively. If I’m eating chocolate it will be the highest quality…just enough to calm the beast and move on. :) I also find that having homemade baked goods (usually low fat and low sugar from Happy Herbivore) helps because I can indulge and know that I’m not overdoing it!

Abby @ Abz 'n' Oats November 3, 2011 at 10:18 pm

Ahhh mice are my biggest phobia! I hope you get the problem solved ASAP! Something that ticks me off right now is working in a windowless place for 13 hours a day! I miss seeing the outdoors!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:31 am

ugh welcome to my world.. no windows, 8-10 hrs a day, 5 days a week =/

Amanda November 3, 2011 at 10:19 pm

Snickers. Please send help my way. The class I am subbing in has 4 boxes of candy. BOXES full. It has been rough and my teeth hurt. Not good.

Mouse poop? I would freak. ew.

Nat November 3, 2011 at 10:30 pm

Oh man, I can totally identify with the Halloween candy thing. I’ve been consistently picking out candies from the basket at work the past two days. It’s insane. All the chocolate is gone, which is good but now it’s just the super sugary candies left..ie Rockets!

Cyndie November 3, 2011 at 10:56 pm

First of all, I was TOTALLY totally eating a salad when I read your mouse story. But I couldn’t stop reading it. I am SO SORRY that is such a gross situation. I had to tell my husband because I thought it was so gross, and he was like, “Yeah, we had mice in our house growing up. Sometimes they’d poop in our oven and you wouldn’t know it until you turned the oven on and it smelled like shit in the house.” yeah I felt like throwing up.

Also, I always throw away candy/cake/cookies that I can’t stop eating (wasteful, I know) and Alex HATES it. So then he tells me I can’t throw it away and I end up eating a ton that makes me feel like shit.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:31 am

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Ashley B November 3, 2011 at 10:56 pm

I’m so glad there is no candy in my house or near my house. This time of year is always a problem!

What’s bugging me lately is being completely directionless. I lost all bearings with my new unemployed status. Yesterday, I was perfectly fine. Today, I bawled my eyes out over something completely juvenile. Boo.

dana @ my little celebration November 3, 2011 at 11:11 pm

bummer. Mouse poop? Grody! So sorry, friend! Hope the problem is resolved soon!

What’s bugging me this week? teenage acne. IN MY MID TWENTIES. C’MON!

Heather (Heather's Dish) November 3, 2011 at 11:48 pm

girl, last year i came home from a friends’ kid’s football game and saw mouse poop on the counter. i sterilized everything in the kitchen and then saw the freaking mouse run across the floor! talk about a sobbing freak-out phone call to the hubby. he thought i was nuts!

Krystina (Organically Me) November 4, 2011 at 12:08 am

Haha, today I put raw broccoli in my salad and said to my boyfriend, “Broccoli sucks. I want ice cream” and then we proceeded to get frozen yogurt. Dessert is always > broccoli.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:37 am

love this.

Carbzilla November 4, 2011 at 1:40 am

Damn you, Halloween! I got into the mini Three Musketeers bars. WTF kinda candy’s that? It’s like the absence of candy but with all the calories!!! I’m an idiot.

I’m so excited for Marshall! The Seahawks games are SO insane that we only go about once a year. (you’d think Chris would get free tickets, but hardly ever)

Good point that FBF is every year – you made the right choice.

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:38 am

hahaha.. i ate one 3 muskateers because the commercials try to make you think it’s better for you so i ate one and was like WFT?! this is lame. and went back to snickers.

Deb (SmoothieGirlEatsToo) November 4, 2011 at 2:19 am

I can usually have a few bites of candy daily and it’s not a problem, but this week- Halloween and the day before, the candy was calling my name more than usual. I guess it’s that whole “well the rest of the damn world is eating candy- why can’t I, wah?!” mentality which is of course stoopid.

Have a wonderful weekend with sis!

Kristin @ STUFT Mama November 4, 2011 at 2:28 am

Sorry you’re missing Foodbuzz. You’ll have fun here in San Diego though! :) Where in San Diego are you going?
This week I wish the world would’ve slowed down when I was sick. Playing catch up with life is no fun.

cindylu November 4, 2011 at 3:03 am

Go Bolts! I went to my first NFL game in San Diego too. It’s an okay stadium. I wish we would have gotten more in to the spirit and gone tailgating. Have a safe trip.

Elaine November 4, 2011 at 3:19 am

make sure you’re not eating – this might make you feel better about mice (or not):
when i was in 4th/5th grade, we had a snake get in the house. one of those little garden (garter?) snakes had gotten inside and under the recliner. my grandma who lived with us saved the day and killed it!! so foul. to this day, i still sit on couches/chairs with my feet up and under me because i’m scared that there will be a snake underneath.

i love twix too, but came home today and found that my boyfriend ate all of them. he’s fired!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:39 am

i kind of love snakes! i am weird.

cathy@1970kikiproject November 4, 2011 at 6:11 am

i miss melissa, too!!! thursdays and fridays just aren’t the same without her blog posts.
wow – have a great time at the football game. that would be SO MUCH FUN! yes, too bad to miss foodbuzz…but family is where it’s at. good call.
my november goal is no complaining, so i will stop now!

Meg November 4, 2011 at 6:30 am

I am so excited for your check in post on the trainer :) !!!!! I have been thinking of you lately and wondering how it is going :)

Susan November 4, 2011 at 7:00 am

I think you meant to say being in three places at once…at your niece’s baptism, at foodbuzz, and on the east coast with me. That was just a typo, right?

My blog pretty much details what’s been bugging me for the last few weeks. I can’t…talk…about…it…Gah!

Love to you and happy weekend!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:40 am

yes. three places. exactly! typo. and i am sorry about your bothers… :(

Hope @ With A Side Of Hope November 4, 2011 at 7:43 am

Oh no! I’m sorry about the mice problem! I really hope that you can get it taken care of asap! That is no fun at all!

Have fun in San Diego! :)

Paige @ Running Around Normal November 4, 2011 at 8:39 am

Eeek! We have spiders, but no mice. Hope you get it taken care of soon! I was eating, but I’m not one who gets too squeamish ;)
And I HEAR you on the candy. I didn’t need candy corn the first 9 months of this year, so WHY do I need it by the handful every other hour now?! *sigh*

MelissaNibbles November 4, 2011 at 9:16 am

Aww….thanks for the shout out Janetha! You’re sweet. I’m sorry you’re going to miss Foodbuzz this year. I know how much you enjoyed it. Enjoy your family time though!

Believe it or not, there’s nothing bugging me this week. I’m very happy so I’ll list three things I like 1)Birthday cake at work 2)Last night’s episode of It’s Always Sunny. It was hilarious! 3)New boy I’m dating. Even if it doesn’t work out, he’s making me very happy right now so I’m going to enjoy him (all of him) while it lasts ;)

Have a good weekend!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:42 am

yess. ALL of him!

Elizabeth @ A Dancer In The Kitchen November 4, 2011 at 9:41 am

I was hoping to meet you at Foodbuzz but you have a good reason to miss it. We’ll just have to meet at a blogger event in Utah! We had mice last year for the first time and it was so frustrating…..I had to throw out a lot of stuff, bought a lot of new storage containers, but we got the little stinker!

Janetha November 5, 2011 at 3:42 am

yes! we should have one!

Heather @ Kiss My Broccoli November 4, 2011 at 10:28 am

I am the same way about candy. Give me cookies, muffins, hell any soft, crumbly, melt in your mouth baked good, but I’m just not that into candy. And I swear Snickers bars fool me every time. I always for some reason THINK I like them until I pop one of those mini bars in my mouth…then I wish I hadn’t. Blah. I actually haven’t had any candy this Halloween season and I’m kinda proud of myself because I know once I do, it’ll start a snowball effect ending in a sugar coma…and feeling like poo! Once I start, I just can’t stop! Now…tell me what I’m going to do with the two Reese’s pumpkins (my one candy weakness) that I picked up on sale at the grocery store the other day! :-/ Maybe I can hide them in the back of the freezer! Haha!

I am SUPER bummed about Foodbuzz! I can’t believe that when I planned my trip to California this summer that I forgot all about Foodbuzz! I was reeeeeeally looking forward to going this year after seeing everyone’s recaps last year. I think I may skip blog reading next week just so I don’t turn green with envy looking at everyone’s pics! Boo!

Toronto Girl West November 4, 2011 at 10:32 am

The darkness is bugging me!!!!

It’s pitch black by 8pm and it’s fully 8:30am before it starts to get light outside. That doesn’t help my motivation.

Let’s just say I’m looking forward to losing an hour of sleep! HA! :P

Cat @Breakfast to Bed November 4, 2011 at 10:52 am

I hid my son’s halloween candy when I was half asleep and now I can’t find it.

the delicate place November 4, 2011 at 11:17 am

j–i used to have to kill mice with my nitrile gloved hands for like 2 years in my early research career. i could have helped you out with that! i still work with rats but i don’t want to go into the gross details :)

i totally agree about sweets making you eat more! my work bought a ginormous gluten free sheet cake for my bday and after i had a slice ( i dont even really like cake…ice cream any day of the week!) i kept wanting more?! there was so much leftover in the freezer that i slyly took some home and threw it out. no one needs to eat huge pieces of cake every night. eeps!

Christin November 4, 2011 at 11:46 am

Stupid candy! I was so good on actual Halloween, and then Travis brought home two big bags of M&M’s that he got because of the after-Halloween sale, and…sigh…you know the rest :(

What’s buggin me this week is that I feel like there is never enough time in the day…I work two jobs, I try to exercise…and cook…and clean…and then I realize that I haven’t talked to even my closest friends in a LONG time…they must think I hate them…but i’m just trying to live life…and I miss them :(

Tiffany November 4, 2011 at 12:27 pm

I dont know what Applegate does to their pigs but they are doing it right-their bacon is some of the most magical I’ve ever had.

Bothering me right now? US Airways and their seats. I flew on them last week and was quite comfortable, I take too flights this morning and it’s as if I gained four or five inches in my hips this past week. Not cool.

Oh no….mice. I had a similar issue a few weeks ago. I couldn’t figure out what they were getting into. I seriously scoured my house for every. single. crumb. And still they came back. Then I figured out that they were eating my dog’s food – right out of her dish. A quick trip to Home Depot for some traps that I topped with a little dab of peanut butter and sprinkle of dog food and – Voila! – problem solved.
