i had big plans to do a bodyrock.tv workout after work and then create an absolutely delicious, tofu-based dinner.
then i was stuck at work 2 hours late.
then it started to dump snow.
then i tweeted:
followed by:
upon walking in the door, this happened:
why yes, that IS four kinds of cereal in one bowl. kashi puffs, three sisters cinnamon swirls, uncle sam multigrain and envirokids koala crisps.
topped with skim milk and eaten with my favorite spoon, owlfred.
happy national cereal day to all!
then, following in line with my tweets.. i found this guy:
and this girl:
and this guy, too:
(yes he shaved AND chopped all his hair off!)
it looks like this outside (still snowing but you can’t tell):
and i am not going anywhere. unless, of course, it is to get more cereal.

i was recently contacted by the folks at buildasign.com and they offered to let me design some snazzy bumper stickers for the blog.
AND some bumper magnets.
cool, right?
buildasign.com is a pretty rad website. they offer all sorts of custom printing & reproduction from small fridge magnets to large banners. you can even get a sandwich board! you know, for your restaurant that you own.
you can use their graphics to create something or you can be like me and upload your own image. the website is super user-friendly and ordering was a breeze.
i will definitely be utilizing their services in the future, maybe i can convince marshall to replace the packers flag with a meals & moves one. ha, probably not…
ANYWAY, the title said this was a giveaway, and yep—it is!
you will only want to enter this one if you like me. why? well, the prize is a meals & moves bumper sticker!
FIVE winners will get a bumper sticker (adhesive).
FIVE more winners will get a magnetic bumper sticker.
ONE winner will get a magnetic bumper sticker along with a ceramic to-go coffee mug:
the fact that the mug matches my blog colors was totally a coincidence, but also totally awesome.
oh, and the bumper stickers don’t necessarily have to go on bumpers. i realize not everyone has a car.. you could stick them on your fridge, on a street sign, on your boyfriend or on your dog.
the magnetic ones, however, will probably not work so well on your boyfriend or your dog.
SO, if you want to win:
- leave me a comment telling me what kind of restaurant you would own if you had to be a restaurant owner.
i want to own a coffee shop that has several quick breakfast and lunch options. marshall shares this dream with me. maybe we will do it some day. i even have a name picked out. i can’t tell you what it is or i would have to kill you.
good luck!

I think the whole reason I went to culinary school was to open up a restaurant one day! I do like coffee/lunch shops like you. I would love to open a yoga studio with a doggy daycare and a cafe attached. And you know how some people think about what they are going to name their kids, well I think about what to name my cafe. I have this fascination with naming it something kind of “nasty” like “swallow” or “banana hammock”…tee hee.
GTFO EDEN! no seriously get outttt. that is the other part of our plan! to have a doggy daycare attached!!!! omg.. that is awesome that you said that. great minds :)
a breakfast joint where subbing in egg whites would NOT COST extra!

I would open a frozen yogurt store….I know it isn’t a restaurant but it’s still food! And I LOVE froyo
I would open a tamale restaurant! :)
My mom is a baker so I think it would be neat to go into business together, as long as she is willing to go clean. :)
i really want to open up a vegetarian/vegan cafe here in Saskatoon, We have nothing really like that here at all. I want to have wraps, sandwiches, paninis, and lots of baking. Then maybe you will come visit! and then blog about it too haha
snow sucks! we were having more snow here today too.
I would open a bread place! I’ve recently taken a heavy liking to bread making so I would definitely sell bread :D
It snowed here today, too and definitely sucked out any interest in going to the gym.
If I could open a restaurant, it would definitely be a bakery/pastry shop! I really should learn how to make bread sometime… :)
I would want to own a breakfast restaurant so I could eat there all day long, but I don’t think I could ever compete with The Bongo Room! Breakfast and coffee are my two favorite things ever!
