flashback friday: five months ago.

five months ago was july 17th.

five months ago was a sunshiney day.

five months ago i signed away my old last name.

 

five months ago i walked down an aisle.

five months ago i officially became a mrs.—sealed with a kiss.

 

you don’t need to tell me—i know—five months is kind of a long time to wait to post about my wedding.

let’s face it. i am a procrastinator.

so, in true janetha g. fashion, i bring you

flashback friday: my wedding day.

now.. there are about 16,872 photos (okay, i exaggerate) so today’s post is by no means comprehensive. just a peek into a few of my favorite photos. i will talk about the wedding in detail in many a post to come. hope you guys like wedding talk. five months after the fact.

the morning of my wedding, i woke up and met my maid of honor, kristen, for bagels and coffee. after fueling up and caffienating properly, we went to the salon where i met up with my bridesmaids (and my friend katie) to get pedicures. then it was makeup and then it was hair and then it was getting dressed.

this getting ready business is no joke! i blogged about it here in case you missed it.

for a brief rundown of the schedule, in as little words as possible, i bring you a bulleted list:

• first look in memory grove
• photos with the kids
• meet up with the bridesmaids & groomsmen at the coffee shop
• photos in front of the coffee sign
• photos all around downtown with the wedding party
• off to the venue!
• photos with the family
• sign the marriage certificate
• last touches
• the ceremony
• the reception
• the departure

wow. who knew the whole wedding day could be summed up in 12 short bullet points? i will talk about each thing later.. but here are some photos, in chronological order. no words needed.
