it has been a semi-productive day..my intentions have been good, but my follow through is lacking.
i grabbed an enormous mug of coffee.
i finally unpacked my foodbuzz festival suitcase, but instead of putting everything away, i put everything into piles. i am a chronic pile maker. is there a support group for this?
and instead of putting my suitcase away in the garage, i left it in the hallway. i mean, i am going out of town again next week.. why put it away? right?
i sorted the clean clothes and made a pile of “hang ups”. i even grabbed all the empty hangers from my closet. that is where the project ended.
hanging clothes up is the bane of my existence.
i tore the sheets off the bed to wash them…
but now they are just on the floor, waiting in line for their turn in the washer. because there are clothes in the washer, that will get washed, dried, and add to the never-ending pile of clothes than need to be hung up…
i was going to putty all the holes in my bathroom wall, we have had a horrible experience with an unruly towel rack that never seems to want to stay put.. no matter where we place it on the wall. always falling off or wobbly and loose. i finally ripped the rack off the wall and threw it away. but there are holes. many, many holes.
i opened the jar of putty to find that it was totally hard as a rock. so much for that project. the holes remain.
talk about anxiety.
at least both of my bathrooms are super, duper clean!
did you know that “duper” is a word? or at least firefox thinks so. it didn’t give me a squiggly red line.
i thought about going to the gym. for a few hours, actually. then the clock struck three and the gym closed. so much for that idea.
i ate leftover, cold pizza instead.
marshall & i went to CPK yesterday. i got the pear & gorgonzola pizza on honey whole wheat crust, which was also topped with chicken, chopped hazelnuts and arugula tossed in gorgonzola ranch. i brought half of my pizza home and told marshall he could have it.
sorry husband, i ate it.
he won’t mind. he won’t even notice. he is too busy geeking out, playing warhammer.
yes. it’s true. warhammer.
i feel the same way about it, randy. yawn.
one thing i DID follow through with was buying this cute bookcase from crate & barrel. fun fact: i had a 10% off coupon that expired in october, and it still worked. score!
that was probably a bad idea.. getting online to shop.. because now i am sitting here, procrastinating online, knowing i have so many started chores that i really need to finish.
i can’t even begin to think of where all of this swag from the foodbuzz festival is going to go. i have zero room left in my kitchen.
maybe you guys can take a bit of it off my hands.
foodbuzz swag giveaway:
- calphalon silicone grip slotted spoon
- coupon for some free lactaid
- hand bag holder from jarlsberg.. load up your grocery bags on either side of the handle

1. are you a procrastinator or a (insert word that means opposite of procrastinator here)? i am a PROCRASTINATION STATION. definitely my worst trait. i mean, i haven’t even picked up my wedding photos yet…

Shipping would probably be too much for me to win, so don’t worry about it.
I’m a pile maker too! And a procrastinator! Hardcore, really. I get so distracted all the time.
Most hated chore is dishes. I just hate doing them and there always seem to be so many!
Hi, I’m a new reader–I love giveaways, so count me in :) And I am procrastinating right now…I should be cleaning the kitchen but instead am on the computer.
I’d love to win!
I’m most definitely procrastinating right now (blame it on the rainy weather, that’s ok- right haha). I don’t mind folding laundry…but I DESPISE putting it away!
I’m actually a crazy list person. As long as I write down that I’m going to do it….it usually gets done. I do hate hanging up clothes though- ick. Your bathroom is gorgeous. Love the tiles. I’d love to win the goods! It will make me feel like I almost went to food buzz ;)
Yep. Laundry makes me cringe. My clothes have been sitting in the dryer for a few days and I have no intentions of folding them. LOL.
I want to win; since I didn’t get to go this year I am extra jealous of the swag!
1. Big time, I would say I do 85% of my activities at the last minute.
2. Umm, all of them?!?! Seriously, my husband even does my laundry!
I’d love to win! You’re so sweet to share your swag!
I procrastinate about certain things. For example, I’ve had dirty laundry sorted into piles on my floor for two days, but I have yet to do laundry. I counted clean underwear and decided I could make it a few more days! ;)
I would love to win! thanks for the opportunity : )
I would LOVE to win some swag! Like you, I hate putting stuff on hangers or anything that involves organizing my closet.
It’s really freaky that your bathroom and my bathroom look very, very similar. Were you in my bathroom today?
I want to win! But… I won’t do laundry.
Hello Janetha. I am commenting for the first time here. Love your blog. And I would love towin. I am a total procrastinator. :)
I have to say that just looking at that picture of your spare bedroom makes me have a panic attack! :)
I am definitely the opposite of a procrastinator and I’m a clean freak. But I understand the feeling of tedium with laundry and hanging up clothes -I guess I just get it done asap because I like the feeling after/the end result- somewhat like my working out mentality sometimes.
I’d love to win!
I would love to win!
I am a major procrastinator, hence the reason why it is midnight here and I’m reading blogs instead of finishing a paper I have to have submitted in two hours! I am a procrastinator with everything but I find that I work better under pressure, go figure.
My most hated chore is washing dishes. This is a difficult one to get out of because I love cooking.
I would love to win!
I am just like you. Procrastinator queeeeen. It’s ridiculous. Maybe why I haven’t blogged in like a week??? Jeeeez.
I absolutely despise doing laundry. Sorting clothes, folding clothes, hanging clothes. BARF.
I would love to be entered. And if you ever have leftovers of that pizza, send some my way!
I think you have still been more productive than me today. I did get the laundry put away though. and I made cookie dough balls (omg). And only ate 1? Sweeeet giveaway! I could always use some swag in my empty kitchen! Worst chore? putting the dishes away from the clean dishwasher ughhhhh!
Good luck with that bedroom! YIKES! hehe:)
i like winning.
and i also like procrastinating. which is why it’s 3:00 and i still haven’t had lunch
i would love to win! my meat thermometer just broke! (stuck it in the chicken and then proceeded to put the chicken back in the oven where the thermometer melted and is now useless!)
I would be glad to take that swag off your hands. Yeah, it’d be a pain…but what are friends for, right? ;)
Good luck on the house cleaning. I have to do the dreaded laundry today as well. Still working on it, slowing making my way through. Talk about torture!
You will be very glad to know that you are not the only one with a spare bedroom that looks like that! Mine is a little more organized now, thanks only to K, but it’s still a crazy storage room & has lost all potential of ever becoming a bedroom or office for that matter. I’m just glad we have it though, because I can’t imagine where all that stuff would be otherwise. Whew, that was more than I ever intended on sharing! Happy Sunday!
I would love to win some swag!
and yes, Im a huge procrastinator. I have the same issue with piles of clothes. If you find that support group, let me know :)
Don’t enter me since I already have all that stuff! But…if you find a support group for pile-makers, please let me know.
I would love to win your excess stuff! My least favorite chore, by far = dishes!
After seeing all the fun from Food Buzz Festivals on the blogs (mainly by linking through yours!), I’m completely jealous. Looked like heaven. ;)
I would love to win! And as for chores, I HATE cleaning the bathroom, so you’re already ahead of me on that. I actually like laundry…I think it’s the stellar new fabric softener that I bought, ha! Smells delicious.
Janetha, I’d love to win the give away!
Am I a procrastinator? You wouldn’t believe how bad!!! I have huge stacks of old magazines, and my clients files literally are piled everywhere [including ON TOP of the file cabinet!]
The chore I hate the most???
Washing silverware. I don’t mind washing dishes… but HATE silverware!
[Oh, and the litter box. Yuck!]
Hope I win!
I would love to be entered in your contest!! Doesn’t it seem like laundry is never ending!! Once you finally put all your clothes away, you find that your basket is starting to fill up again!
I’m a procrastinator to the millionth degree… something I REALLY need to work on. procrastination = unnecessary stress!
Most hated chore: definitely putting laundry away, it makes me realize that it’s true, i really do have too much clothes…
yayay ive missed your regular posts!!
Yes please, send me those things. :) If you want to throw in that ball whisk that you guys got, feel free to throw that in there as well, free of charge. haha.
1) I am a maaaaajor procrastinator. I thought about starring this to enter in later but I overcame that.
2) Folding laundry is my arch nemesis. I currently have a giant basket of clean laundry sitting next to my closet. It’s been there for about two weeks…I just keep wearing stuff from it and then adding more stuff back in once I wash it. Grrrr.
I need a food thermometer so badly! I would love to win this!
enter me!! :D
i am a huge procrastinator with things that i know i have to do but realllllly don’t feel like doing. example: i’ve had gmat study guide books sitting on my desk for 3 months now and i haven’t started reading through them yet :/
i didn’t know CPK had wheat crust! looks soooo yummy! and cold pizza is the best
I do not need anymore foodbuzz goodies, as I got mine own, but did want to comment still ; )
I am a huge procrastinator!! Just now doing laundry, haha
Michelle
Well I say you get a major A for effort today! Even if the laundry doesn’t get done, the clothes don’t get hung, and you didn’t make it to the gym, you still had very good intentions which pretty commendable itself.
I would love to win anything from you! You’re the best lady!
Super duper is such a good phrase. It makes me very happy to know that duper is an acceptable word :)
Um procrastinator? I don’t even want to talk about it . Yikes.
As for chores… hm. I really don’t like putting away dishes from the drying sink. Maybe that’s because I use so darn many of them that that chore NEVER EVER ends. Booo.
I’m not entering your giveaway, but I had to comment. I have soooo many unfinished chores left (which sort of stresses me out on a Sunday afternoon)… And, yes, oddly enough I’m become more of a procrastinator the older I get. I thought it would get better with age… :)
Worst chore? Dishes in the sink (piled high since everyone just adds them and builds “dish towers”) when the dishwasher isn’t unloaded. HATE IT!!!
Have a great week! Let’s not procrastinate too much! :)
I almost put off typing my comment until “later” but knew I would never do it. I constantly have to battle my-procrastinating-self evey moment of the day :) So I feel you haha! I went to CPK for the first time ever yesterday – I am definitely going back – YUM! The lunch bag alone looks super cool!
I’m not a procrastinator…I just have far too much to do. I put off the little things for the bigger must be done now stuff.
I HATE HATE HATE dusting. I did it for a summer job cleaning my college campus for conferences and I can’t do it any more. Good thing I’m allergic and Hunni has to do it ;-)
i’m also a chronic pile-maker… it gets out of hand VERY often! my least favorite chore is definitely cleaning the bathroom… it’s so gross!!! i’ll take folding laundry over the bathroom any day! oh, and i’d love to take some of that swag off of your hands for you. it’s my pleasure. :)
Haha I loved this post (and I’d love to win).. I hate cleaning. I have too many cloths for my own good.. I swear I wear 3 different outfits everyday… ugh laundry!
You are hilarious! Duper hilarious, in fact! I HATE PACKING/UNPACKING. And yesssss my most loathsame chore is putting away laundry, whether it’s folding it or hanging it. It blows!
I have a very bad habit of washing my clothes and never taking them out of the basket…seriously… i have clothes in the basket all washed and folded from the summer still sitting on the back seat of my car…..haha
my husband is the procrastinator and i am the early bird so together we can be kinda on time, haha. Although, some things I just don’t care to get to. Like how its been a year and a half and we still have not put up our bed frame….shameful!
leftover cold pizza is probably the best thing out there. not sure why, it just IS!
I wild like to win. I hate mopping. I don’t mind sweeping, luckily it is something my husband will do.
I’m definitely interesting in entering this giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity!
I usually don’t procrastinate because it stresses me out to have tasks hanging over me. I lie in bed at night thinking about everything that I need to do and it’s just not conducive to sleeping. :oP
My most hated chore…oh where to begin, haha. I’d say doing the dishes. I hate how it dries my hands out!
First off, this is my first time commenting–I just started reading after Elise linked to you from the foodbuzz festival. So hello! I really, really want to enter your giveaway, and here’s why: that bag-holder thing. Three weeks ago, I was struggling with a couple bags in each hand in the parking lot of my building. It was, like, 10pm, raining, and i was in flip-flops. somehow i tripped and did a complete faceplant in the lot, splitting my chin and knees open, tearing my favorite stretch pants and sending my groceries flying all over the dark parking lot (my poor apples were allll scraped up…apples with road rash!).
So that is why i would like something to help me hold my bags:)
We are DEFINITELY related! From laundry to putting stuff away… Good news is I cleaned out my microwave right in time for guests to come for Thanksgiving!
Have you ever looked at retailmenot.com? Codes and printable coupons for every store out there!
I would love to win so I could use that meat thermometer to avoid killing my family next week when I make my first ever Thanksgiving dinner. Ah, the pressure!
Hello meat thermometer! I’ve been needing to get one for years now… guessing the internal temperature of chicken and pork probably isn’t the best idea.
My most hated chore… vacuuming!
