Qs~

1. favorite melon? w-a-t-e-r-m-e-l-o-n. actually i hated honeydew and cantaloupe up until about two years ago. now i love all melons, but nothing beats the watermelon. ever tried a casaba melon? those are pretty good, too!

2. do you like the dentist? i love love love getting my teeth cleaned. it’s the part where i have to get *work* done that i don’t love. luckily that doesn’t happen to often.

xo. janetha b.

p.s. may 12: happy birthday to my bestie~ lindsay! love you boog!

Jeanine May 11, 2010 at 10:01 pm

Hey Janetha..
I’ll keep this short since you seem to be uber busy these days. First off I love your blog, Secondly I would love to win Jackie Warner’s new book!
Okay, I think that is it. Thanks!

Run Sarah May 11, 2010 at 10:02 pm

Cant wait for the fauxsagna recipe!! Honeydew is my fav – I love all melon though!! Not a big fan of the dentist, I have bad luck with my teeth and even with insurance it can get pricey, sigh!

famishedtofantastic May 11, 2010 at 10:08 pm

I love almost all fruits but for some reason the only melon I like is Watermelon. I do not like the dentist, I was a dental assistant for awhile so not only do I not like having other peoples hands in my mouth but going to dentist reminds me of a job I hated.

I would love to be entered in the giveaway for the book.

Amanda May 11, 2010 at 10:08 pm

That fauxsagna looks so good. & I’d also love to win Jackie Warner’s book.

Hallie May 11, 2010 at 10:17 pm

Ah I HATE the dentist. I always end up spending a ton because mine isn’t totally covered, and I hate the scrapey feeling on my teeth (yes, “scrapey” is a word). I would rather go to the gyno twice than the dentist. But I go…damn responsibility!

closet365project May 11, 2010 at 10:19 pm

OMG enter me! Whee!

I’m with you on watermelon. It’s the best.

The dentist, not so much. I haven’t been in…well… longer that I want to admit. Oops.

hopefulrunner May 11, 2010 at 10:20 pm

Hey, I’d love to be entered into the giveaway for the book! I have been meaning to pick up a copy for myself. Have a great night!

Kelly Snow May 11, 2010 at 10:31 pm

Hey, mmmmm…..watermelon all the way!!! Hate cantalope. Honeydew is just ok. Sorry about the dentist. I would really love to be enterted to win the Jackie Warner book. Hope your crazy day tomorrow is good :)

actorsdiet May 11, 2010 at 11:00 pm

seriously – you LIKE getting your teeth cleaned?!?!? i dread the dentist….and mine is a fancy 90210 one where you get to watch episodes of “the office” while she does the work!

theemptynutjar May 12, 2010 at 12:00 am

I’ll enter :) Always open to new reads!

Tamizn May 12, 2010 at 12:05 am

cantaloupe all the way! I used to hate the dentist but these days I just get it done I don’t want to have bad teeth! x

Courtney (Pancakes & Postcards) May 12, 2010 at 1:41 am

Ugh I hate the dentist. I had to go to one in Mozambique in January. I walked in just fine. I left with a toothache that lasted for eight days. Makes me want to never go back, ever.

For some reason, I am not a big melon fan! And it is funny because I ADORE almost all other fruit. It´s not that I dislike melon necessarily, I think I just resent it because I always want to buy a fruit salad and so often they are like… 80% melon with a few precious chunks of pineapple, grapes, and berries (the stuff I LOVE) thrown in. Can´t we just lower the melon quantity a little bit…?

Kristin May 12, 2010 at 2:26 am

Janeth-
I’m dyin’ for a new book. Casaba melons are so good, especially from the FM….mmmmmmmmm, can’t wait till june. I am uber picky about any other kind of melon. Where are you finding your delish watermelon, I’ve struck out twice now. I’m lovin’ your blog, it’s like I get to hang out with you everyday……Jr. High all over again ;)I have a bunch of other questions for you too…perhaps i should turn this rather long comment into an e-mail? We’ll see.

Danielle May 12, 2010 at 3:39 am

I flipped through this book at my local bookstore last weekend, but at $29.99 Canadian it’s a little outside my price point right now. I’d love to win it :D

Lauren May 12, 2010 at 3:49 am

Awww, the first thing I heard you say was that you are feeling stressed?!?! My darling, I do hope that you are not overdoing it. Try to relax and enjoy this time. I know it’s easier said than done, but this is one of the best times in your life and you will NEVER forget it.

And I love the “noodless” lasagna. I make this one a lot because I’m not really a big pasta fan but I LOVE LOVE LOVE veggies and tomato sauce. I think Hungry Girl is where I originated the recipe from.

Hope you have a wonderful day with NO STRESS!

<3 you!!!!

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is May 12, 2010 at 3:53 am

I would love to win!

I like canteloupe, but I love all melon. :)

Bella (Stilettos on the Streetcar) May 12, 2010 at 4:31 am

I’d love to win a copy of the book! I’ve been trying to get my hands on one since you posted about it, but haven’t had any luck yet.

I’m not really a melon fan. I’m all about the berries! :)

Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble) May 12, 2010 at 4:37 am

WOW that faux-zagna looks gasmic. I think I need to veg-itize it because it looks right up my alley!!

I want to win!!! I love Jackie, I can’t wait to read this!!

Watermelon is my fave, hands down. I’m not a huge fan of honeydew, and I can take or leave cantelope.

I do not like the dentist. Period.

I HATE the dentist! Which is why last week when I went it was the first time in 3 years. Luckily I only had one small cavity and I do plan on going every 6 months now…but I HATE the dentist. Poor guys. They get a bad rep. Sorry it will be costing you some hard earned moolah. Yet another reason I hate the dentist.

I love the veggie lasagna! Mmm!

Dawn (HealthySDLiving) May 12, 2010 at 5:01 am

LOVE watermelon HATE the dentist!!! :/

Ali May 12, 2010 at 5:04 am

YAYAYAYAYAYA enter me- I’d love to win…I do a similar lasagna with baked eggplant which is super good! :)

Lisa May 12, 2010 at 5:09 am

Jenna May 12, 2010 at 5:30 am

That dinner looks amaze and I would love to be apart of the giveaway!

Susan May 12, 2010 at 5:31 am

JB! You are one busy lady. A busy lady whose wardrobe I want in my closet now.

So funny that you mentioned the dentist because I had one of my dentist nightmares last night! Yes, I have deep, deep fears of that man with the silver instruments. I’d take ten shots in the arm before one in the mouth.

Schyler May 12, 2010 at 5:35 am

WOOHOO! I’d love this book! ….but who is Jackie Warner?!

Heather (Where's the Beach) May 12, 2010 at 5:38 am

I am not a melon person at all. I can’t even stand a fruit salad that has melon in it b/c it taints everything LOL. I know, crazy. Love using veggies like zucchini or Japanese eggplant in lieu of pasta for lasagna. So good.

jodie May 12, 2010 at 5:44 am

Would love this book.

Rebecca May 12, 2010 at 5:53 am

I would like an entry in the giveaway! I am quite interested to read the chapter on supplements, the shelves at the nutrition store are overwhelming and I would like to be more educated on what works and what’s just snake oil. As for the dentist, I had braces for 4 very loooong years and had several teeth pulled, so while the dentist is no longer torture, the memories keep it from being something I can say I like.

April May 12, 2010 at 5:54 am

I would love the book!

I like mush melon. The orange one, is that cantelope LOL!

I’m like you, love the cleaning, hate the drilling.

ari May 12, 2010 at 5:57 am

i NEED this book!

Kelsey May 12, 2010 at 6:00 am

I would love to be entered for the book!

And my favorite melon I have only ate at ONE time and I will NEVER forget it’s deliciousness – it was actually pure watermelon DRANK that I had on a trip to Costa Rica! It was so fresh!

And the dentist isn’t so bad – even at 21 I still get treated (forced) to visit the prize bin…

Melissa May 12, 2010 at 6:08 am

Enter me for that book, plleeeaasseee, Ms. Janetha! : )

The lasagna looks yummy!

Shannon May 12, 2010 at 6:10 am

i think i eat as much watermelon as you when it’s in season :) but i love all melons! great-lookin lasagna, and now i need those peppers!

i’d love to be entered to win!

Kara May 12, 2010 at 6:12 am

I’ve only recently discovered my love of guac and, despite it being 9am, that picture made me really want some. i sense some guac toast coming on.
and i would lovelovelove a copy of that book. it looks ridiculously intense, and i think i could use some intensity in my life.

Becky May 12, 2010 at 6:20 am

I’d love to be entered into the giveaway contest for Jackie Warner’s book!

Stephanie May 12, 2010 at 6:25 am

Your fauxsagna looks delish! I love anything with copious amounts of veggies in it! Honeydew is my favorite melon with watermelon following. Heck, I love all fruits!

Oh and I’d love to win a copy of Jackie Warner’s book…she rocks!

Brandi May 12, 2010 at 6:39 am

what a fun lunch date!

Hm…perfectly ripe watermelon IS hard to beat :) I also love super ripe canteloupe, but I can’t stand when melon is flavorless and hard. Blech.

LOVE the dentist! My mom worked at our dentists’ office for 17 years so it was always fun when we got to go. We knew all the ladies there and got extra prizes and stick on earrings.

Talia May 12, 2010 at 6:40 am

Hi Janetha!

I started following your blog when I began the BFL challenge! You’re so inspriational!

I would LOVE to win the book!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Talia:)

Patricia Braithwaite May 12, 2010 at 6:40 am

I would love to win a copy of Jackie’s book. I’ve been talking about it to everyone since reading your reviews. It sounds like a lot of GREAT info that could really help me!!

The Healthy Hostess May 12, 2010 at 6:41 am

The lasagna looks amazing! I haaaaaaaaate the dentist! I would love to win the book! I’m in the process of getting back in shape after having my baby 3 weeks ago!

Karin May 12, 2010 at 6:50 am

Your fauxsagna looks to die for! Me wants some right now :).

I would love to win the book too of course. That lady knows her stuff.

Watermelon is my favourite too – it’s so juicy! (duh…) ;)
Dentists are ok. I’m not a fan but we’d probably be in a lot of pain if we didn’t have them. My mum’s a dental hygienist so taking good care of my teeth was always normal hehe.

mallory May 12, 2010 at 6:51 am

ok, in the spirit of making things quick…

1) LOVE watermelon!! i’ve never had casaba, so i don’t know if it would top my favorite (but i doubt it)
2) jackie warner book? yes please!

lisaou11 May 12, 2010 at 7:03 am

Gimme the book, I want it :)

Kind of crazy, but I went to the dentist yesterday too. And had a darn cavitiy! grr…

Claire May 12, 2010 at 7:06 am

I’ve been dying to check out this book!! :-) cc

Angharad May 12, 2010 at 7:14 am

1. Watermelon without a doubt! I’m not a huge canteloupe fan, I must say.
2. I love the dentist. I love getting my teeth cleaned! I’ve also never had a filling or any work done so that’s likely got something to do with it!

That lasagne business looks the shiz!
