- my name: Ildie (pronounced ill-dee)
- where i live: Akron, Ohio (aka Lametown)
- my blog: Rambling Babushka at www.ramblingbabushka.blogspot.com
- my move: I love the Arnold Press. Every time I do this move I feel like I’m really giving my upper body a nice little challenge.
1. Begin standing or sitting with elbows bent in front of the body, weights facing the chest.
2. Rotate the hands out as you press the arms over the head.
3. At the top of the movement, the palms should face out.
4. Lower back down, rotating the hands back to starting position.
I usually do 3 sets of 15 reps each. Last time I used 15 pound weights.
- my meal: As of late the meal that I enjoy the most seems to be oatmeal. Not super exciting I know but with it being cold and gloomy out it just warms me through to my core with is rich goodness! My favorite version is below.
Fully Loaded Custard Oats
- 1/2 cup Irish Oats
- 1 1/2 cup vanilla Almond Breeze
- 1 banana, sliced
- Lots of cinnamon
- Dash pumpkin pie spice
- Splenda to taste (or sweetener of choice)
- 2 whipped egg whites
Cook the above on a stove until the mixture becomes thick and fluffy. Basically until it looks like ooey gooey decadence! I like top this deliciousness with any of the items listed below. Sometimes I add a few of these⦠If I’m feeling scandalous!
- Sweetened coconut flakes
- Raisins
- Dried cherries
- Chocolate peanut butter
- Almond butter
- PB2
- Fruit preserves
- Marshmallow Fluff
- Fresh berries
- Pumpkin butter
- Protein powder of choice
Enjoy!

Whoa Ildie the move looks great! I’m gathering upper body moves to do tomorrow :)
and I also need to get out of my oatmeal rutt and try some new ideas!
Thanks for your post xoxo
You’re the second M&M’er to recommend the Arnold- it is a super move.
