‘fessing up.

in meals

happy sunday, friends! sorry i didn’t end up posting last night.  we ended up staying out later at our friends’ place and didn’t get home in time for me to ramble!

but now i am sitting here with marshall and he is watching football.. you KNOW i have plenty of time to ramble.. i hate foodball. ugh.

first off, i would like to thank those of you who have already sent in your mini guest post submissions!  they are so fun to read and i think it is going to be awesome when they are all published in a few weeks.  in case you have no idea what i am talking about, check out my last post to see my request of all my readers!

it was fun to hear your favorite forms of cardio in the comments from my flashback friday post.  sounds like everyone likes to get their heartrate up in the most creative ways! so rad.

sooo.. time to rewind.  to friday night to be exact.  i left off showing you the sun dried tomato basil hummus that i whipped up for bunco night with the girls~

IMG_5050

i also whipped up susan’s sunflower hummus and paired both hummuses (is that the plural for hummus? or should we say hummi? like octopus.. octopi.. :P) with veggies, pita chips & wasa crackers~

IMG_5061 IMG_5058IMG_5060IMG_5054

i also assembled a tray with triscuits, tillamook cheddar & turkey pepperoni~

IMG_5051

and my friends brought some yummy bites.. cucumber zippy bites a la rachael ray (i believe)~

IMG_5062

and artichoke cheese dip + bread~

IMG_5067IMG_5066

i had to pop some popcorn in honor of my girl julie!  and serve it in my super sweet popcorn bowl ;)

IMG_5071IMG_5070

it ended up being quite the delicious spread!

 IMG_5072

we buncoed our little hearts out.. it was a really fun game! we all had a super good time.

IMG_5076

i am not gonna lie, i did go against some of my challenge guidelines. i ate starchy carbs after meal 3 and i ate full fat cheese.  i also had one too many pita chips.  damn those things!!  but to be completely honest, i don’t feel horrible about my decisions.  i kept it in moderation, didn’t drink anything but water, and since i didn’t have a proper dinner on friday night, i think it all balanced out.

saturday is where shit hit the fan…

saturday.

so i woke up and wanted one thing: cereal.  so.. i have a confession.

IMG_5087

i went cukoo for cocoa puffs.

not once, but twice. yep. i had two bowls of cereal for breakfast.. at 11:30 AM (YES i sleep in. late. i am not an early riser like all of you!)  not my most shining moment.  i thought getting all my cereal out of the house would keep me from eating cereal but turns out i was wrong.. it just makes me eat cereal i typically wouldn’t touch, like my roomie’s cocoa puffs.  crap.

i also had some french press coffee using my new electric kettle!

IMG_5086

yay. this was so rad.

guess what came next?? i went back to bed.

i have no idea why i was so tired! i didn’t even drink!  but i was sleepy.. so back to bed it was.  when i finally came to, i was hungry again.  i made something lots healthier than cocoa puffs..

IMG_5081

mmm.. green protein smoothie at about 2:30 PM~

IMG_5082

in the mix:

    • 1 cup almond milk
    • ice
    • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
    • a pear
    • 3 strawberries
    • handful of blueberries
    • 2 to 3 cups of spinach

this was super delicious and nutritious!

IMG_5083

don’t be fooled.. the vitamix actually made two glassfuls of the green goodness. i drank it all to the last drop.

after this the *plan* was to workout.. but instead i lollygagged in my PJs and eventually marshall arrived.  we were going out for my friend’s birthday dinner so i decided to ditch the gym and shower.

our dinner out was at desert edge pub…

IMG_5095

i got the balsamic grilled chicken sandwich sans mayo~
IMG_5097

it came on a wheat but and a side of chips and roasted veggie+feta salad.  i ate all of it, no shame in my carb game.

marshall got a fantastic chile verde burrito and it was too pretty not to show y’all~

IMG_5096

i had a few bites.

one last confession.. when we got home at midnight i had another small bowl of cereal.

earlier on i had decided to dub yesterday an all out “free day” because i knew i’d blown it with the cereal and still wanted to enjoy my dinner out.   and to be honest, the eats were not horrible compared to free days i have taken in the past.  i had 3 bowls of cereal, a semi-healthy entree at the restaurant and a protein shake that was packed with nutrients.  no dessert, no super fattening foods.  just lots of carbs :D

when i did my body for life challenge in 2008, i would go all out on free day.  pints of ice cream, fried foods, soda, sugar, carbs, fat, the whole shabang.  and i still had stellar results.  that is why i am not stressing over yesterday.  in the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t horrible.  i am just going to keep on keepin’ on!

another fail regarding yesterday was my lack of water consumption and the fact that i neglected taking my supplements.  i need to make those two things a priority even on the days i don’t work out!

sunday.

today i woke up and brewed some french press coffee and got to work on making breakfast for marshall and i…

first i cooked some eggs (2 eggs+4 egg whites) with some spinach~

 IMG_5100 IMG_5101

and then sandwiched the eggs between two halves of a whole wheat english muffin along with a wedge of laughing cow, slice of turkey & 1/5th of an avocado~

IMG_5102

served with love.

IMG_5105

packed with goodness.

IMG_5103

yum.

after eating my delicious (and healthy!) breakfast, i decided to let it digest while i blogged.  after i publish this i am going to head to the gym for the HIIT+total body workout i had planned for yesterday.  i feel totally refreshed and have a feeling that the reason i wasn’t feeling it yesterday was just from a long, hard week at work and the gym.  i have had a chance to recharge my batteries and an ready to go!

i probably won’t be posting again until tomorrow night, after the gym i am heading to my parents’ place to make dinner and then to marshall’s house for some hang time.  i also have to stop by whole foods and stock up on some greek yogurt!  essential item.

i will be planning my meals for the week and posting them on my challenge page later tonight, so make sure to check back!

i hope you all enjoy the rest of your sunday and have a nice, productive monday!

1. tomorrow, january 11th, is national milk day… what is your favorite type of “milk”? i am an unsweetened vanilla almond breeze girl all the way. i don’t really care for cow’s milk anymore.

2. one of my favorite weekend questions.. what is the best thing you ate this weekend? i have to say the cereal. i am a fiend ;)

xo. janetha b.

Emily (Healthy Fit Mama) January 10, 2010 at 12:21 pm

Glad you have such a positive outlook on your “free day.” It’s just one day. It won’t make or break your success. We all have them!

1) I love almond milk, but in the name of cost savings, I typically drink unsweetened soymilk now.

2)Best thing I ate this weekend = banana smothered in almond butter alongside a bowl of Kashi Go Lean Crunch! Mmmm!

mom January 10, 2010 at 12:25 pm

Hahahaha I am in stitches over your cocoa puff shenanigans!! :)!!!
Remember when I wouldn’t want to tell you if I cheated even a tiny bit? Then I realized it eas easier to stay on the wagon than make a ‘confession’ I’m proud if you sweetie!!!

Twighlight zone moment we ate at the same place last night….dad had the very same as Marshall but I had the salmon salad….wow too weird!!

Chocolate milk is my fav pretty sure anything with chocolate suits me fine!

I finally had a scoop of choc custard (like ice cream) hot fudge and almonds yummmmm to the moon and back!!
Xoxoxo

Jenna January 10, 2010 at 12:26 pm

The spread atthe party looks so yumy!!
I am glad you are not letting Saturday get to you, like you said keep rockin!!!
Restaurant looks great! Yummy Sammie for breaky!!

Abby (Nibble, Nourish, Run) January 10, 2010 at 12:39 pm

Oooh sometimes I crack when I see a box of Lucky Charms…it’s the marshmallows…get me every time! I’m a regular old skim milk girl for coffee – but for smoothies & cereal I’m an almond milk girl too! Love it. And the best thing I ate this weekend…a delicious stuffed artichoke last night…mmm. Have a lovely Sunday girlie!

Stef @ moretolifethanlettuce January 10, 2010 at 12:40 pm

aint nothin wrong with a little bit of cocoa puffs! don’t beat yourself up for the other food choices either, embrace the fact that you can enjoy everything in moderation! i HATE cow’s milk, always have since i was a little kid ( i used to lie and tell people i was lactose intolerant to get out of drinking it, lol) and now i’m like you, unsweetened vanilla almond breeze ftw! so far this weekend i’ve enjoyed my mini bread pudding the most :)

The Hot and Fit January 10, 2010 at 12:41 pm

Don’t worry about the cereals – we all have our ups and down! You are doing so well!

Best thing I hate this weekend? Poppy seeds cake!

Carbzilla January 10, 2010 at 12:48 pm

Glad you got all that calcium and Vitamin D! :S

You have the right attitude about it – moving on ….

I really can’t have “trigger foods” in the house. We’re on dangerous grounds right now, surrounded by chips, but I’m focusing on the better choices and ignoring the less than optimal choices.

I applaud your day of relaxation. You move a million miles a minute so you deserve a day. But don’t let the pressure of Jamaica get to you – you’re going to have a great time and look fantastic, even if you were leaving tomorrow!

Tay January 10, 2010 at 12:49 pm

Yeah girl – you indulged, but move on! I did the same thing this weekend…WAY over. Way way over. But it’s a new day and as long as we’re on track this week, it’ll all balance out ;-)

1. Almond milk!! Love love love. And chocolate milk.
2. The funfetti last night was AMAZING. Not gonna lie. Pretty dang good.

traynharder23 January 10, 2010 at 12:49 pm

cereal killahhhhhhhhhhhhhh =D i do that too. i didn’t buy any cereal so i wouldn’t be tempted but i ended up snagging some of my sister’s ! WHOOPS.

lowandbhold January 10, 2010 at 1:10 pm

I am having a cereal problem right now too. I never have it in the house but some how some way some Cheerios and PB Puffins found their way into my pantry. Can’t. Stop. Eating. Cereal.

1. As far as smoothies, I got with unsweetened almond milk but I’m not going to lie – I heart 2% cow’s milk. Can’t help it.
2. The red lentil curry my SIL made Friday night and that I ate twice on Saturday :)

Sweet Cheeks January 10, 2010 at 1:12 pm

ahhh, my eating was kind of crappy yesterday, too. I don’t even know why I did it really…I mean, it definitely did NOT make me feel good. BLAH, but I’m back on track today and feeling much better!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Nicci@NiftyEats January 10, 2010 at 1:30 pm

My favorite milk is Almond Milk in Vanilla flavor or plain. Oh, we all have cravings and need to indulge! I’m a sucker for rice krispie cereal. lol

Morgan January 10, 2010 at 1:37 pm

It’s OK to let loose a little and enjoy! Give in to your cravings or they just get worse.
Best thing I ate was Ethiopian food. Every bite of that meal was fantastic!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is January 10, 2010 at 1:45 pm

I saw plates like that at Target and am dying to get some!! So cute. I really have always hated milk. If I ever use any, I use vanilla almond milk. Other than that, I’m milk free. :)

Sara K January 10, 2010 at 1:45 pm

Hummi! Love it!!! Congratulations girl on your all out day- sometimes nothing will do it but a few bowls of cocoa puffs- and i’m glad you don’t have guilt feelings over it cuz food n guilt shouldn’t be connected :)
Hmmm best thing I ate all weekend…damn our dinner spread last night was pretty delicious- I’d say the chicken cacciatore my dad made (loaded with kalamata olives/mushrooms/tomatoes/parsley/white wine mmmmm) and this moroccan beef dish with prunes n sesame seeds (tastes nine million times better than it sounds).
As for milk- I hateeeeeee drinking milk straight up…ughhhh…on the other hand I am NUTS about yoghurt if that counts? If not, I like my milk after its had grape nuts soaking in it. haha.
Have a lovely day xo

Amanda (Two Boos Who Eat) January 10, 2010 at 2:00 pm

I love cocoa puffs! I can’t even have them in the house anymore because I just go nuts with them! Or cuckoo for coco puffs.

As for a free day, I’m glad to see that you aren’t beating yourself up over it! You didn’t do bad at all! Like you said, coulda been worse. Keep on rockin!

I like almond breeze as a milk sub but always forget to buy it. I need to get back on it!

Best thing I ate this weekend? A chicken caesar wrap with parmesan-garlic fries. SO many calories in that thing but worth it in my opinion! I am downing water now to get all of the sodium outta my system!

ellie January 10, 2010 at 2:03 pm

Um, dude… If that 24 hours worth of eats was just standing alone, it looks really balanced and healthy and fun to me. Don’t be hard on yourself- the challenge is called a challenge for a reason and stuff like this is BOUND to happen. Life’s too short to adhere to all rules, all the time. Could have been a lot worse ;) I’d be all over Marshall’s burrito…

1. tomorrow, january 11th, is national milk day… what is your favorite type of “milk”? I love unsweetened chocolate almond milk and vanilla soy. I can’t get either here but my latest creating is 1/2 cup light soy with vanilla and cinnamon, microwaved for 2 mins and frothed up with my cappuccino frother into a big puffy cloud. YUM.

2. one of my favorite weekend questions.. what is the best thing you ate this weekend? Oh. Tough. Do you ever have days where everything tastes amazing? Then you could eat the exact same stuff 3 days later and it’s just “meh”? Today and yesterday I had defrosted blueberries mixed with Quark and bluebran vita top. OH SO GOOD. I have tried and hated the bran vitas up until now but these bowlfuls were delish.

kbwood January 10, 2010 at 2:21 pm

hahaha okay GIRL no shame!! cocoa puffs have my heart!! who stops at ONE bowl?! def not me!! i love them!!! sooooo goooooood.
and full fat cheese is the bomb dot com
i freaking love your breakfast this am!
1. light vanilla soymilk
2. AHH TOUGHIE! ostrich meat! youd love it.. 23 grams of protein for 110 calories :) its delish girl!

April January 10, 2010 at 2:32 pm

Darn those pita chips! I was a victim this weekend of those as well :( Oh and cereal. It was suppose to be my PWO meal, not my I can’t sleep and it’s 2:30a meal. Hey, it happens.

unsweetened vanilla almond breeze girl all the way too!

I really think the fried cabbage with mustard and stevia was my favorite thing!

inmytummy January 10, 2010 at 3:04 pm

Seriously, your food still seems very balanced and healthy even with the cereal. I’m glad you aren’t letting it get to you. Cereal is definitely one of my weaknesses. I can’t keep it in the house!

I don’t drink a lot of milk. So, when I do, I don’t really have much of a preference. Jason likes cow’s milk so we normally buy that but on occasion, we’ll get soy or almond.

plamarie January 10, 2010 at 3:21 pm

sometimes it is the sweet little unplanned mistakes that keep us going. When I give in, I usually work that much harder after. So, I say, “it is all to the good yo!” Besides cocoa puffs are dang good. Almond milk for sure.

april January 10, 2010 at 3:28 pm

I think you did really well for your free day.. it had a lot of balance! I used to have free days too and they would turn into an “eat every bad thing in sight” day.. I would literally make myself sick! So I think yours was perfect!

And I like Unsweetened Almond milk now since it’s low in calories and I don’t use it that often!

and favorite food..hmm.. I think my cottage cheese combo I just had was pretty darn good!

The Fit Collegiate January 10, 2010 at 3:29 pm

I’m lovin’ that English Muffin sandwich!!!

Erica January 10, 2010 at 3:56 pm

Hi Chica :) How are you? The food at your girls night looks awesome. I don’t blame you for going a little outside the guidelines at all!! Pita chips are the devil haha. And I love the looks of your homemade hummus. Free days are WONDERFUL for your body. Glad you enjoyed yours and got some extra rest in.

1. Don’t really like milk but I stick with skim or 1%.
2. Oh def my special dinner on Friday night!!

Lizzy January 10, 2010 at 3:57 pm

No bigs girlie!! I think you’re doing awesome! Keep up the great work! I hope you’re enjoying a relaxing sunday! xoxo!

Katie January 10, 2010 at 4:00 pm

I’m kind of a cereal freak, too. I can almost NEVER eat just one bowl. Three bowls won’t kill you…glad you aren’t stressing, no need to. Like you said, it was probably a good thing to recharge your batteries with food and sleep!

1. Gahh, I love ALL milk, seriously ALL of it. It’s up there in my top 10 foods, even though it’s a drink. I like different kinds for different things. Just for drinking – 2% cows milk. Cereal – vanilla soy milk. Baking – almond milk. fruit cereal – vanilla almond milk….mmm, best drink ever.

2. Best thing was my pancake breakfast on Saturday morning. Nothing better.

Lynn at The Actors Diet January 10, 2010 at 4:11 pm

i love your heart plate!!! i’d go cuckoo for cocoa puffs too.

Ruth January 10, 2010 at 4:14 pm

I am just like you… I don’t keep cereal in the house because I hope I won’t eat it… some how I always end up finding someone elses :)

Naomi(onefitfoodie) January 10, 2010 at 4:55 pm

those eggs look SO GOOD!! I got so excited bc I saw the fork in the cooking pan and I have a confession which is when I am alone eating something that I cookin a pan like eggs, I sometimes just eat it right out of the pan like that to save a plate from getting dirty! oops-don’t judge me :) that sandiwhc looks SO good with the chips!!

cocoa puffs-great choice!! so good, I used to have those with chocolate milk :) yeah I was THAT fat kid growing up!!

favorite milk at the moment is almond milk, but I go through phases I also love vanilla soy milk and always love skim milk too!

love you girlfriend!

Jenny January 10, 2010 at 5:10 pm

oh sweets, these confessions of yours – they’re called being human :) no regrets for the pitas and cocoa puffs (which is totally justifiable ’cause those are straight crack). Your devotion to moderation and balance is so refreshing to see, girl. You inspire me!!

*muah muah muah*

Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble) January 10, 2010 at 5:26 pm

It’s just a little cereal, you’re doing great!

1. Ditto. Unsweetened vanilla almond breeze is dreeeamy.
2. My falafel pita at Extreme Pita was amazing! Then again my roast chicken dinner wasn’t half bad either!

xoxo
K

balancejoyanddelicias January 10, 2010 at 5:45 pm

I’m in love with that muffin avocado turkey combo! it looks amazing! love how big and thick it is!!! :D
1. unsweetened chocolate almond breeze
2. everything! I over ATE everything and they’re so damn tasty! ;)

Andrea@WellnessNotes January 10, 2010 at 5:58 pm

1. Vanilla almond milk
2. Garlicky leek soup

Have a great week!

Lauren January 10, 2010 at 6:16 pm

This is exactly why I believe that complete deprivation is a complete BUST! I know that so many people try to cut out certain foods in attempt to detox; however, I have yet to see any kind of detox that is 1000% successful. Girl, I know that you want to feel super hot in Jamaica, but to be honest with you, you couldn’t look any more super hot than you already do! I say, EAT that cereal! It’s not as though you are ONLY eating cereal. A few bowls here and there will only keep you from overdoing it on coco puffs, right.

Maybe I am just so passionate about this because I have a mild obsession with cereal. I can’t imagine eliminating this food from my life. It would be tragic and make me sad and I am sad that you sad without cereal too! :(

Okay beautiful girl, you rock as always and I love you to death and I hope that you don’t feel one ounce of guilt because you are amazing and deserve to feel only pure happiness all the time! :)

Deb (SmoothieGirlEatsToo) January 10, 2010 at 6:26 pm

Aww, ya know JB, it’s good that you are able to cut yourself some slack. Your “program” to get even hotter in that bikini is very strict and it’s not surprising that you’d start having a craving here or there (and over there). I think that’s part of the problem with “dieting”…our bodies and/or minds just say eff that! But as you said- compared to last time you were perfectly angelic in your ‘free day’ so you should be proud nonetheless. And if you fall off, know that you are human.

It’s good that you listened to your body and rested the other day, so that you were refreshed to come back and kick your own arse in the gym today. Hope it was FFFFUuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnn!

Susan January 10, 2010 at 7:13 pm

Oh yeah, tooootally feeling you on Saturday. I think making big plans and saying we’ll stick to them is all good and everything, but it’s a lot different in practice. Sometimes life is just harder, or more tiring than we expect it to be, and we need a little more rest (and YES, cocoa puffs!!) than we’d like to admit. Even a “bad day” for you is still a gazillion times better than a lot of people out there, you’re still in stellar shape :)

1. UVAB all the way!!!

2. Coffee. I had to drink tea on Saturday and this morning’s coffee was like heaven in comparison.

Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) January 10, 2010 at 7:24 pm

sunflower hummus. nice.
artichoke cheese dip = in a past life i would have devoured. AND the triscuits. In my 20s, I lived on vodka, PB & Triscuits. And some artichoke dip. ANd that’s pretty much the truth :)
glad u enjoy my recap posts honey! xoxo

julie January 10, 2010 at 7:25 pm

YOU MADE THE POPCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRN! i love. and i hope everyone enjoyed it :) woo hoo!

i’m all about that egg sammie with the cado and laughing cow. i’m about 100% sure that i’m going to recreate that tomorrow at some point. but i hope marshmellow loved that bfast. if he didn’t you know i’ll be coming over next weekend fo ryou to make me that!

jenngirl January 10, 2010 at 7:41 pm

I’m glad you ate some yummy things, and even if they didn’t “fit” in your challenge, I was thinking the other day that you know not to feel deprived and that’s a good thing to let yourself have what you want every now and then. I mean, you don’t want to go to Jamaica having forgotten what cereal is like! ;)

1. I don’t drink milk, I’ve always wanted to try almond or soy though..maybe one of these days I’ll get off my lazy a** and do it!

2. Definitely the free range chicken dish I got when I went out to dinner with my parents. It was incredible. And buttery. ;)

Jocelyn January 10, 2010 at 7:52 pm

hey girl..I don’t think your eats were bad at all…I know the cereal goes against your challenge thing. But really – in the grand scheme of things, it won’t hurt you! :) The green smoothie looks beautiful!

Whole Body Love January 10, 2010 at 8:07 pm

Ah, two things that I would love to have Sleep Until 11:30am and Cocoa Puffs! One of my fave cereals as a kid because it turns the milk into chocolate milk…like magic. My fave milk these days in Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze but Chocolate Soymilk is an old friend :)

snackface January 10, 2010 at 8:28 pm

Holla to the cereal! I’m happy you had those bowls of deliciousness. Honestly, it’s just cereal, ya know? Actually, you do know, as you pointed it out above. Ha. I’m tired, obvs.

That McMuff picture is gorgeous. And I don’t even like eggs that much.

Hmmm fave milk… unsweetened plain almond milk OR plain Silk. So delish.

Best thing I ate this weekend: two baskets of fresh, hot chips and salsa! AMAZE. It’s all I want on the weekends for some reason.

Anyway, I lovelovelove you and hope you have a marvelous Monday! xoxoxoxxo

Laura January 10, 2010 at 9:15 pm

I had never seen your BFL pictures before. Amazing results! I’ve heard so many great things about that program.

I don’t drink a lot of cow’s milk either, except in my coffee. I usually have vanilla almond milk or hemp milk in cereal and smoothies.

Best thing I had to eat this weekend? homemade lasagna!

Holly (The Healthy Everythingtarian) January 10, 2010 at 9:15 pm

YOU HAVE A VITAMIX?!?!?! how did i not know this?

also, cereal is sometimes just necessary. i had like 3 bowls for breakfast on saturday morning, and it was gloriously delicious. if someone could find a kickass cereal that actually fills me up, i would be froever grateful forevs.

and yes, your “off day” was not bad. i had frozen cookies for breakfast yesterday, because its all i had left in my fridge. that is bad. esp followed up with medieval times dessert. gah, tis’ is life!

i need some workout motivation janetha b – i am feeling horribly unmotivated. whatcha got?

i went through a transitional milk phase…but i like my nonfat cows milk. organic-style.

best thing i ate this weekend…MY MEDIEVAL TIMES dinner!!! who knew they would make such delish food? or a stellar wrap i had today for lunch…recipe to be unveiled tomorrow :)

LOVE YOUUUUUUUU

*Andrea* January 10, 2010 at 9:47 pm

one day of indulgence is totally allowed!! you have been doing so well this past week and clearly in the past a day of freebies has still allowed you to be fit :) my off-days are usually wayyyyy worse (lots of chocolate and cookies – once i polished off 1/2 a big bag of fig newtons ahhh). anyways – glad you’re so open and honest on this blog. y

Karin January 11, 2010 at 2:24 am

Oh isn’t the electric kettle awesome? I use mine daily and couldn’t live without it anymore.
Don’t get me started on cereal.. I love it especially the very unhealthy ones (which is also why I don’t have them in the house).
It’s great that you don’t get all worked up because of one day of bad eats. We’re all human after all ;).
I love soy milk and the “regular” milk. The almond milk that we got over here (yes there’s only one brand that makes it!) is nasty. Sad thing.
Hmm best thing I ate… I guess the 7 courses dinner that my boyfriend made me :).

hayleycepeda January 11, 2010 at 5:23 am

This probably sounds dumb, but I drooled over your egg sandwich all yesterday and last night. For some reason it looked so damn good – I must have a weird craving for eggs right now! I don’t think how you ate was bad at all…definitely much improvement since your BFL free days. I know what you mean about those certain cereals though. As soon as I take my healthier stuff out of the pantry I find myself digging into Chris’ Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks and all that other crap.

You’re doing awesome Janetha!!

quarterlifewellness January 11, 2010 at 6:20 am

I am def an unsweetened original almond breeze girl! I don’t care for cows milk anymore either.

Your eats for the weekend sure look good!

Marissa January 11, 2010 at 6:31 am

I love that heart plate!!

eatolive January 11, 2010 at 7:43 am

yumm. i love your breakfast creations! so amazing looking!!!

national milk day!? HOORAY! i have lately become a huge vanilla unsweetened almond breeze fan(though, not fan of the chocolate … luckily, brendan is a fan :)) but i do still love my 1% cows milk. :)

best meal? definitely my dinner at PF Changs on friday date night. honey chicken with brown rice …. yummm. with miso soup, and a “shotglass” mousse desert!
