this is grandma benson. my dad’s mom.
grandma benson died in the middle of the night. it’s sad, but it was a good thing because she has been in a lot of pain lately. she has also been missing her husband ever since he passed away, so i am glad they are together once again.
i don’t mention my extended family too often–it’s simply because i rarely see them. but that doesn’t mean i don’t love them lots. my grandma and i didn’t see each other much or know each other well. but i do know she was a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

I’m sorry for your loss Janetha. Losing a grandparent is hard. At least she is comfortable and with your grandpa now. That is what helped comfort my family when we lost my grandpa. He was reunited with grandma and no longer in pain.

My condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. I recently lost my grandpa and understand the stress it puts on the family. Like your grandma he missed my grandma greatly (she passed away over 15 years) and it is comforting to think they are reunited!

so sorry, Janeetha. I feel incredibly lucky to have had a close relationship with both sets of grandparents, seeing them often. I have lost them all and miss them SO much – I talk about them often, laughing and smiling at fun memories – celebrating them, I suppose.
