in meals,moves,random rambles

look out, i am cranky. you’ve been warned!

today wasn’t exactly the best. then again, it wasn’t exactly the worst, so let’s try to be optimistic and just smile that the day is over, mmmkay?

image

as most of you know, i go to the original pancake house every monday morning for breakfast and a sales meeting. i wake up at 5:30 AM to get to work on time and we usually end up at the pancake house around 7:45—i am super hungry by the time we get there since i have already been up for two hours (and i am one of those people who wakes up with a growling stomach.)

well, this morning boss #1 (i talk about two bosses today) informed me that breakfast was canceled and some insurance folks were coming in to talk to us and we don’t need to go to breakfast because.. wait for it.. they are bringing donuts! oh, goodie. cue panic attack: what about me, boss #1?! what about my breakfast? sorry, but donuts for breakfast just doesn’t do it for me. and what about my coffee?! i don’t make coffee at home on mondays because i know i’ll be getting my caffeine fix from the pancake house. OH MY GOSH WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!

i bailed on the insurance meeting and tried to do some work and not think about the lack of breakfast and coffee in my life.  at 8:39, i couldn’t take it anymore and grabbed my purse, car keys and phone and headed out of my office, bee-lining it to the door, exclaiming, “I HAVE TO GET SOME FOOD!”

luckily, boss #1 stopped me and said we could still go to breakfast. phew, crisis averted.

because we showed up at the pancake house a hour later than usual, it was super packed. this meant more waiting—by this time, a hunger headache had set in and i was ridiculously irritable. i usually am fine to go a long time before eating lunch.. but breakfast is a whole other story.

right around nine twenty, about four hours after waking up, i finally got some food, coffee and water. hallelujah.

IMG_2264 IMG_2262 IMG_2267 IMG_2270 IMG_2271

i love that whenever i decide to take photos of my breakfast at the pancake house, boss #2 requests that i take photos of his food, too. sure boss #2, anything for you.

IMG_2268

knife and fork in hand, ready to go!

because breakfast was later than usual, i didn’t get hungry for lunch until after 2 pm. weird. when i finally decided to eat, i was harassed by co-workers left and right!

one particular co-worker walked in mid-photos and said, “you know, most people eat their food instead of taking pictures of it.”

ugh. get out of my life, dude. i am not sure why people feel the need to make snarky comments at my food blogging habits. i have blogged for 2 1/2 years, folks, i’m not stopping any time soon.

anyway—lunch.

IMG_2280

i snagged this salad from harmons yesterday while i was doing my grocery shopping. i topped it with some marinated tofu and called it good. and it was.

IMG_2273

the dressing was TJ’s fat free balsamic. FYI.

apparently there were cupcakes downstairs today. i work upstairs, just so you can visualize the situation. anyway—boss #1 comes up to my office and we have a convo:

B#1: “mmm. you have to have a cupcake. megan made them for my birthday.”

me: “no thanks, i don’t want one. i just ate lunch.”

B#1: “they’re really good! you have to have one. go get one.”

me: “no. don’t want one.”

B#1: “that’s really rude if you don’t have a cupcake. plus, they’re good! mmmmm! (biting cupcake)”

me: “no, i really don’t want one. if i wanted one, i would have one. but i don’t want one.”

B#1: “you deprive yourself.”

me: “no, i don’t. i just don’t want a flipping cupcake. thanks, though!”

this is what i deal with.. daily. pardon my crankiness—i did warn you, though!

i ended up staying at work past quitting time, but that was pretty much par for the course considering how the day had been going. when i finally made it home, i slammed my noxplode and headed to the gym for a much needed stress reducing workout session.

image

my lower body workout was pretty excellent. it was, in fact, the highlight of my day. here are the details…

warmup:

  • 100 jumping jacks
  • 100 butt kicks
  • 100 high knees
  • 50 switch kicks
  • stretch

circuit one (three times through, no rest):

  • 15 straddle jumps on elevated step (5 risers high)
  • 15 lying bridge w/ 20# plate on hips & feet elevated on step
  • 30 russian twists on ball 2/ 10# plate

circuit two (three times through, no rest):

  • 30 (15 each leg, consecutive) bulgarian split squats w/ 10# in each hand
  • 30 (15 each leg, consecutive) donkey kickbacks
  • 15 stability ball hamstring curls

circuit three (three times through, no rest):

  • 30 walking lunges w/ glute kickback holding 10# each hand
  • 30 (15 each leg, consecutive) body weight single leg squats
  • 60 second low plank
  • 30 second right side high plank
  • 30 second left side high plank

calf raises:

  • 15 each leg x 3 sets (body weight)

circuit four (three times through, no rest):

  • 15 barbell stiff legged dead lifts w/ 70#
  • 15 low back reps on hyperextension bench w/ 20# plate

circuit five (three times through, no rest):

  • 30 reverse lunges (alternating legs) w/ 45# barbell on shoulders
  • 30 (15 each side, consecutive) oblique reps on hyperextension bench holding 10# plate

5 minutes cool down stretching

obviously there was rest between circuits as i set up for the next one. this workout took 1 hour 15 minutes start to finish.

marshall and i combined forces to make a quick dinner so we could both sit down and relax ASAP. he made some fabulous garlic burgers and i worked on a couple of side salads and the burger fixings.

IMG_2291

we snagged some locally raised, grass-fed 90% lean ground beef from the farmers market and marshall combined it with minced garlic and seasonings, made a couple of patties and grilled them.  my burger went on a whole wheat bun with stoneground mustard, ketchup, heirloom tomatoes, avocado, salt and pepper.

IMG_2289IMG_2288

the salad was romaine, spinach, celery, baby bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, cucumbers and TJ’s raspberry vinaigrette.

IMG_2293

dinner was fantastic.

now i am trying to find a new internet service provider. hoooly crud, that is making me even more cranky! every single provider has horrible consumer reports. i just want good service with no nonsense. apparently that is too much to ask.

i think i am going to go bake. that always helps my bad moods go away.

Qs~

1. how long after you wake up do you eat breakfast?

2. do people nitpick you for what you eat/what you don’t eat/taking photos of what you eat/etc? talk about it. let ‘er rip.

Sorry about the tough day!! I guess it’s a Monday, huh?! Hope tomorrow is better for you :D Those salads look fantastic! Can’t wait till we can cook in our new kitchen! Planning on making your peach Chobani fro yo, yum!!

Lauren August 15, 2011 at 11:10 pm

Whoops, why are there 2? You can delete the first one :D

Carrie@shrinkingcarrie August 15, 2011 at 11:11 pm

I hate it when people try to force you to eat crappy food. I said no, stop asking. My philosophy is ask once. If they say no, respect it. Then again, I understand that saying no is a hard thing and when asked again it could very easily turn into a yes. No means no buddy.
I eat at around 9 when I’ve already worked out. I prefer to workout on an empty stomach.

lynn @ the actor's diet August 15, 2011 at 11:15 pm

if i don’t eat a midnight snack (which is rare) i’ll wake up hungry enough for breakfast. but sometimes i don’t eat my first meal til 1 or 2…

Kristina @ spabettie August 15, 2011 at 11:17 pm

I hope your Tuesday is WAY better. :)

I love that your boss wants his breakfast photoed too.

Abby @ Abz 'n' Oats August 15, 2011 at 11:26 pm

You are a much more patient person that I could be. lol. Sometimes I just want to shout from the rooftops “no means no”. Killer workout! :)

Chloe (In Fine Feather) August 15, 2011 at 11:31 pm

I can usually wait about an hour for breakfast, sometimes even more over the weekends. However, once I get hungry I get HANGRY and definitely need food ASAP!

Becky @ The Bex Factor August 15, 2011 at 11:34 pm

UGH! I eat 6-7 times a day so I ALWAYS have people commenting on how often I eat. Or if they see me in the lunch room heating up my afternoon snack I get ‘you’re just eating lunch now? Why don’t you eat sooner!” I do eat sooner, thank you, I’m just having an afternoon meal.

Krista (kristastes) August 15, 2011 at 11:35 pm

aw man, sorry to hear you didn’t have the best day! lucky for you (and me), tomorrow is NOT monday! people at work make fun of me all the time for the ‘weird’ foods I bring…how weird is salad, oatmeal and fruit people? I tell them to shove it and go take a look at my stellar health stats from our company wellness thingamajig.

Shanna, like Banana August 15, 2011 at 11:35 pm

I don’t think there is anything worse than having meal plans changed on you especially when it involves coffee and the first time you’re eating for the day. I need coffee within an hour of waking and food within 2 hours.

Elaine August 15, 2011 at 11:38 pm

I find that if I’m on a normal day routine, I don’t like to eat until after a few hours I’ve been up. When I do the night routine and get up at 5pm, I’m starved. (I used to be a night-shifter and my sleep is wacky because of it.)
And yes, I had 1 person call me anorexic and spread that to co-workers based on her seeing me eat one meal. I think it’s rude to assume things of people based on ONE sit-down meal! And that’s a serious health issue, so why would anyone say that so flippantly about another person? Especially if I WAS afflicted with an eating disorder. Sheesh.
ANYWAY, I live in OR and use Verizon’s DSL service. Been with them for 5 years, the few issues I’ve had were handled well, and I only pay 50$ for phone/internet each month.
Hope your week gets better and I’m sorry for the long post!

Barbara August 15, 2011 at 11:39 pm

Sorry you had a crappy day. I would have just eaten the salad you said you bought the day before for breakfast!!!– I am ravenous at breakfast. When I want to eat, I want to eat. NOW. get-outta-my-way-takes-all-priorities kinda hunger. I think you handled it so well! I can’t believe you had the energy and wherewithal to go to the gym! That’s incredible! You should definitely feel proud about that! Most people would have collapsed from exhaustion!
xoxo
hope tomorrow is a fantastic, full of great food and people kind of day!

tona August 15, 2011 at 11:41 pm

Why do those people bother you so much? Geez…they KNOW you get up early…they KNOW you do not eat or drink coffee first and that itself would be fair WARNing! Geez….I work out by 530-645 daily and eat by 730ish….hungry~! That oatmeal looked great! Today I made peach pumpkin bread w/carrots and it was good girly!

Elaine August 16, 2011 at 2:24 am

OH MY! Are you willing to share the peach pumpkin bread w/ carrots recipe?! That sounds really, really tasty!

Kiah August 15, 2011 at 11:48 pm

Breakfast is a definite “asap” for me!

Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga August 16, 2011 at 12:03 am

I love the shot of the stoneground mustard & avo. YUM

Waking up…I dont have food, I dont want it. I want coffee though :) Then, food.

People nitpicking about what I eat? Omg…try being a high raw, mostly gluten free, nearly vegan (but currently vegetarian). And with a jillion food intolerances. Ummm, yeah. If it could be uttered, I have heard it and been on the receiving end of it.

I just smile, nod, and keep repeating phrases like no thank you, or I’m all set, thanks. Or Im fine, thanks. Repeat. REPEAT some more. Because there will always be food pushers and those who think that “just one bite” won’t hurt. Umm, sure. Bathroom for a week, stomach ache, being sick…yeah, It will hurt.

I could go on and on. Thanks for opening up your comments like this :)

And sorry you had such a day of it!!!

Ty August 16, 2011 at 12:33 am

Sorry you had a bad day. :(

I actually can completely skip breakfast. 3-4 pm is the worst time for me. I get soooooo starved between lunch and dinner!

Cindy August 16, 2011 at 12:33 am

I never used to be a brekkie eater, which appalled Hubs. When we got married, he decided that was something that had to change…eight years later, I am a rabid breakfast eater and have to eat within an hour of waking up or working out. To me, eating breakfast is like brushing my teeth. I just do it.

As far as “food commenters”, people nitpick me all the time and it drives me insane. INSANE. Nothing makes me angrier. if people ask because they are truly curious, that’s one thing. But it makes me wild when I say no to treats and get treated like I’ve got five heads. It used to be constant, but I’ve noticed that people at my work are now eating much better, working out and paying more attention to their health…I’ll take some of the credit for that, thankyouverymuch. Hee hee!!

Deb (SmoothieGirlEatsToo) August 16, 2011 at 12:33 am

I’m with Averie- coffee is a must right upon awakening. (with milk foam) and that holds me for an hour at least- sometimes even longer. Then it’s shake city. I can sometimes even work out on just coffee and half a shake. Then have the other half as recovery.

I haven’t had people push food on me in forever. I can’t remember the last time. Plus I’d probably just say ok and have a bite and save the rest for later just to shut them up (and have something yummy of course)…unless I really really really was thanksgiving day full or hated what they were pushing.

Tomorrow will be better! PS 5 risers is like nosebleed section- dude that’s awesome. Bet you’ll have doms tomorrow.

Bonnie August 16, 2011 at 12:40 am

Ugh! Rough day…sorry to hear that. Hope you baked something delicious to relax a bit more! :) I’m normally like you – I wake up, stomach growling, and have to get something in me. If I’m ready to be up early and workout, it’s half a banana with some nut butter, without or without a piece of toast. Otherwise I pretty much eat when I’m up and do my workout mid-morning (I’m in between jobs, but as a personal trainer my schedule normally has weird holes anyway). As far as people commenting on my eating or blogging, I don’t normally get any guff from others…mainly from my husband joking about my photos, but maybe it just takes time, because yesterday he said, “Here! Hold these raspberries – this one’s for the blog!” ;) I loved that!

Hope your week flies by and gets better and better – see you Friday (maybe I can message you about your room # at the HLS later?) before the cocktail party! Looking forward to hanging out. And great lower body workout – looked like a solid one.

Amanda August 16, 2011 at 12:43 am

When I worked in an office, I dealt with the same issues! A lot of the time, I would just give in to get people off my back. It drove me absolutely insane. I FEEL YOU!

I have to eat breakfast asap or I am a grumpy boo. It is ugly, ask Andy!

Sara K August 16, 2011 at 1:01 am

Are we the same person? Haha I NEED my coffee and breakfast as soon as I wake up or else…it’s not good, that’s also why I almost never go out for breakfast, just the idea of having to get ready and get out of the house and order sounds like a veryyyy unpleasant experience to me (so if I do go out I usually have my coffee and something to tide me over at home). I honestly don’t understand those people who don’t eat till lunch. Insanity.
And wow I get so annoyed as well when people get nitpicky or crack some lame joke about me photographing my food- especially those who know I’m a food blogger.

Kris | iheartwellness.com August 16, 2011 at 1:08 am

You’re too cute!!

This is a very good question….I wake around 7 daily, sip a liter of water until about 8am when my granola is baking or I make a mean smoothie around 8:30 :) Im as hungry as a freaking horse in the morning, but I have to make sure I get my water to clear toxins :)

I love boss #2 so far :)

xxoo

Katheryn August 16, 2011 at 2:05 am

Sorry about the crummy day.

I wake up at 5:30 most mornings and have breakfast at 9. It takes me quite awhile to get hungry in the morning. Although I’m always thirsty, so I drink lots in the AM. I get a lot of comments about what I choose to eat and not to choose to eat. So annoying and rude! Amazing to me that because I try to eat healthy and exercise people feel it’s okay to comment on my body and habits. If I was overweight would they do the same? I think not.

Heather August 16, 2011 at 2:18 am

I get REALLY annoyed when people try and force feed me sweets! Your crankiness is justified in my opinion!

Angie August 16, 2011 at 3:36 am

I usually have breakfast within 30 minutes of getting up, more out of habit than anything. If I workout early I have a mini snack then breakfast after though.
Yes they sure do! It is annoying and the tome they use can be insulting. I now sneak photos on my phone when I don’t want the hassle. Other times I just go ‘I blog’ and leave it at that :)

CJ Weaber @ http://healthy-happy-whole.com/ August 16, 2011 at 6:04 am

I am sorry you had such a miserable monday! I hope tuesday gets better! and I am with you. My stomach is like ready for food the second it gets out of bed! My husband can go hours before eating and I absolutely cannot. I hate when people pressure you to eat things that you really do not want…I mean guilting you into a cupcake? get something better to do, right?
Have a wonderful day :-)

cathy August 16, 2011 at 6:13 am

what a bunch of PITA stuff to deal with, all in one day. i’d be grumpy, too!
here’s a tip that i stole from my brother: just say yes. take the cupcake, take it back to your desk, say you’re saving it for later, then either dispose of it as you wish, take it home, whatever. i call it the “just say yes” trick. although it sounds like your co-workers are vultures, hovering and watching…anyway, you handled the situation well, as is!
good luck with your tuesday, j!

Lindsey @ Cardio Pizza August 16, 2011 at 6:32 am

I’m such a brat when I am hungry….every body better watch out haha! I’m glad you finally got to get breakfast though! :)

I typically eat either right away if not working out in the morning or a couple hours after I wake up if I do workout first thing in the morning. I can go either way!

I have not had a comment about what I eat in a long time….which is nice because it did annoy me when it happened.

Tina @ Faith Fitness Fun August 16, 2011 at 6:46 am

Ugh. I hate days liek that where I’m super cranky and people keep hitting those buttons. At least you know you won’t be alone with nabbing pics of your food ina few days. ;)

lindsay August 16, 2011 at 6:51 am

i would have called in sick by 8am. haha. I’m cranking without food and coffee. You should have seen me when I had to fast for blood work. not pretty.

Erica August 16, 2011 at 6:59 am

What a frustrating day! Dont mess with me when it comes to food either! Working out and baking are awesome stress relievers. I usually eat at least a little something right when i get up

sarah August 16, 2011 at 7:30 am

hooray for giveaway winnings :)
i’m sorry about your bad day.. but i think i love boss #2 already. haha he requests you to take pictures of him/his food AND makes sure you get your breakfast? much more supportive than the loony donut boss. Sounds like my dad haha, “Sarah, come on, eat the cookie! its reaaaaaaally good!”
I feel ya on the “being forcefed” thing! Some people don’t realize that everyone really doesn’t want the cookie.. or the donut.. or even the cupcake ;)
I have to eat within .2 seconds of waking up. If not, i’ll tear someone apart!

Errign August 16, 2011 at 8:09 am

Ugh, that was Sunday. Total cranky pants, because things were not working out the way I wanted them to, and work people were annoying.
I constantly get crap for taking pictures of my food or eating “weird” things. I just want people to leeeaave me aloonnnneeee.

Lee August 16, 2011 at 8:09 am

At my current job, I get a lot of “eww, what is that??” which is actually better and easier to ignore then the constant, “You’re eating again?!” comments that I’ve gotten at previous jobs. Those really bothered me. If people think my food is weird, I’m okay with it. Although my boss recently though hummus and red pepper strips was weird. I was like, that’s one of the most normal things you’ve seen me eat!

Alta August 16, 2011 at 2:38 pm

I totally get that..although not as much as I used to. (The coworkers are getting used ot me – it’s a newish job) Of course, green smoothies tend to get a lot of “eww what is that” comments!

clare August 16, 2011 at 8:10 am

i have to eat within approximately 20 minutes of waking up otherwise i’ll get super nauseous. (i’m preggers). so waiting 4 hours would not even be an option in my world right now. good on you though for sticking it out! ;) and no, at least right now, people don’t nitpick what i eat (and lucky for them they don’t otherwise they’d get an earful from a hormonal 8 mo. pregnant woman), but i do get a little self conscious when i take photos of my food in public…although i shouldn’t, it’s no big deal!

Rebecca August 16, 2011 at 8:11 am

This post came at the perfect time – we’re on vacation, and I’ve been up for two hours waiting on everyone to go get breakfast! Luckily I’m with my family and they don’t make snarky eating comments, but there are PLENTY who do! It seemed like you handled them well, though :)

sarah (sarah learns) August 16, 2011 at 8:13 am

i don’t always take photos of my meals, but i’ve really never had someone give me grief about it when i do. i’ve definitely gotten annoying comments on not having a muffin/cupcake/donut/etc. though. it drives me crazy when others try to get you to eat junk like that – i like it every now and then, but not every single day!

i usually eat breakfast 2 or 3 hours after waking up – i do NOT wake up with a grumbling stomach.

Sami August 16, 2011 at 8:24 am

i’m sorry you had a tough day. i HATE when people act like that about my healthy living lifestyle. honestly, if i want something, i eat it. i hate when people try to manipulate me to do something.

btw your quote about the lunch salad: “called it good. and it was.” reminds me of jesus. lol. just sayin’.

Hope August 16, 2011 at 8:40 am

I’m sorry you had a bad day! I hope today is better for you. :) I cannot stand when people make comments about food choices. It really pisses me off. Someone who worked there made a comment to me on Sunday when I ordered a bagel at a bagel shop. She commented that my bagel choice was more of a decadent dessert than breakfast. How is a bagel a decadent dessert? Please, just let me order my food and leave me alone. I hate that!

By the way, the burger you made looks fabulous! :) I love avocado on a burger.

Jessica @ Stylish Stealthy and Healthy August 16, 2011 at 9:09 am

Ugghh. When people comment about my food/eating habits/taking pictures I want to throw what I’m eating in their face.
But then I’d waste food and that’s just not a wise decision at all.
And I am also looking for a new internet provider and it is awful!! I’ve had the worst customer service experiences of all time, it’s pathetic.
I think I will join you on Crankster Island today.

Clare @ Fitting It All In August 16, 2011 at 9:19 am

ughhh I’ve totally been there. People are so judgmental! They don’t know what we eat 100%! And I would have flipped if I couldn’t have had breakfast either. Glad it all worked out

Tiffany August 16, 2011 at 9:30 am

I hate f****in comments about me taking a picture. I’ve been blogging for a year and a half-get it over dude! I went off on one of my “friends’ one time when she made a rude remark like “Oh, you’re taking a picture AGAIN?” Blargh.

I think it is so awesome that you all (normally) start the wk with a meeting at the Pancake House, I want to work for a company like that! And I only have two words about those burgers:

Holy

Balls

Lindsay @ Lindsay's List August 16, 2011 at 9:50 am

On weekdays, I walk/run the kids, so I usually have a couple bites of a protein bar on the way out the door. When we get home, I have “real breakfast” of eggs or oats.
When do you leave for HLS? Can I fit in your carry on?

allie August 16, 2011 at 9:51 am

I never comment but this post is something I totally relate to. A few years ago I lost a significant amount of weight. I did this by eating well and exercising. Sometimes that office birthday cake didn’t fit in the picture. Sometimes I just didn’t want it. To this day, people hassle me if they see me eating anything that’s not considered “healthy”. “I can’t believe YOU’RE eating that!” Talk about giving someone a complex! It really, really wears on you after a while, so I totally understand the frustration. I don’t care if they eat rocks, why do they care what I eat?

Ashley August 16, 2011 at 9:58 am

I was definitely Little Ms. Crankypants yesterday as well. Mondays just do that to me, it seems…even if I wake up and try my best to have a FABULOUS day on a Monday, I end up cursing everything and needing some wine by the day’s end. Ugh.

I get a LOT of food comments. Your co-workers sound super-snarky :(

I work in a restaurant and don’t eat anything they serve there (Chinese w/ a buffet). If I work a double shift, I will pack my own lunch to stuff into my facehole during my five-minute “break.”
This is apparently foreign to everyone.
“Just eat the buffet! It’s free if you work all day!” Yeah, no. I rarely eat meat, and the buffet is 95% meat covered in sugary sauces with a few spare carrots and broccoli pieces. I’m good.

And oh, cake…the bane of my workplace existence. If it’s not a server’s birthday, it was a customer’s and they decided to gift us the leftover cake/cupcakes. A very sweet gesture on the customer’s part, and every other server and kitchen guy will gladly eat one. I, however, don’t want one. I am not sating my hunger with simple sugars and carbs that don’t even taste good to me; I don’t care how “yummy” you say it is. Piss off.

(If the cupcakes were somehow raw cookie dough balls, though, that’s a different story entirely. I can’t keep away from them!)

Sara August 16, 2011 at 10:41 am

I love that cupcake story. Sometimes you just don’t want a cupcake, what’s the big deal? Glad you stood your ground. :)

Annette@EnjoyYourHealthyLife August 16, 2011 at 10:49 am

Yikes, I would be a HUGE grouch from all of that too! Way to WORK it out, Janetha :)

the delicate place August 16, 2011 at 10:51 am

oh believe me i can sympathize. i am the freak show at work. every.single.week they bring in cakes, brownies, cookies etc and i never eat them namely because i’m friggin allergic to the wheat and even if i wasn’t i don’t just eat junk food at random. if i want a sweet then i eat it but it better be worth it you know? something i really enjoy! they are having a going away party for me on thursday and i told them please don’t haha. i didn’t want a sugar laden gluten cake or something, i just don’t live that way. oh to be a healthy living blogger. a rare breed for sure ;) and believe me i get stared at all the time for what i choose to or not to eat…almost to the point where i feel like i should ask them when they are going to lose weight and stop putting the crap down the ole pie hole but i refrain.

breakfast for me usually comes after i workout so prob 1-1.5hrs after i wake up, do the thing & shower. if i don’t workout, sometimes i don’t eat until lunch time (i just am not usually hungry in the morning).

I TOTALLY know what you are talking about. I bring my own food to family dinners every other Sunday and of course get hounded on why I can’t eat what they are eating or why I won’t have dessert or what the heck is wrong with me. Its always fun. I so look forward to it.

I like to get in some cardio on empty before breakfast, this usually means I have to be to the gym at 5:30… and doesn’t always happen. Breakfast is usually around 7:30 or 8 though :)

I hope that today is better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear you sister! Nobody better come between me and my breakfast in the morning. That is the #1 way to ruin my day (before noon, that is).
I always need breakfast and I usually like it within an hour of waking, unless its a weekend and I have nowhere to be. Then it cant wait 2 or 3 hours.

As a new blogger I feel a bit uncomfortable whipping out my camera at lunch or dinner, but as soon as I say “i’m writing a blog!” people usually settle down. You’d think these people would understand you by now!!

And everyone has rights to a cranky day… to bad had to be a Monday. Happy Tuesday!
