i woke up to this:

IMG_0318

sorry dogs, i ain’t taking you to the park.

IMG_0340

oh, notice someone new there?

IMG_0342

that’s griffy. my co-worker’s 13 year old pug. we are watching him for 10 days. he’s so old and cute and snorts a lot.

IMG_0343

marshall is still asleep. i think he is trying to put off the fit test for insanity (we start today, and it starts with a fit test so we can monitor our progress.)

IMG_0305

so, while i wait for the mister to pull himself out of bed, i am day dreaming of things i am looking forward to in the warmer months..when i don’t wake up to snow-covered branches.

the farmers market.

imageimage

camping.

image

and smores. (but never again having fake nails, what was i thinking?)

image

peaches being in season.

image

well, basically ALL fruit being in season.

image

hiking. (and eating while hiking..)

imageimage

going to palm springs to see deb.

image

the chobani bus at the arts festival.

image

my birthday.

image

spending summer evenings at the park.

image

running 5ks (the SLC one and the gay pride one).

imageimage

swimming.

image

my first wedding anniversary.

image

dining al fresco.

image

yep, ready for some sunshine, warm weather and flip flops.

but for now, i will just have to patiently wait for these four to get up and entertain me.

I’m looking forward to the beach! Specifically, me at the beach with a margarita in my hand, and the San Luis Obispo Thursday night farmer’s market.

Amanda April 3, 2011 at 10:49 am

I’m looking forward to camping and hiking too. We haven’t camped in a long time. Good luck on the fit test!

fforh April 3, 2011 at 10:53 am

lazy bums! haha i love that pug, they are the cutest!
i love summer and fall, because of all the colours. I woke up to sunshine today so i’m thrilled about that.
i look forward to the broadway street fair, its always fun and interesting. I look forward to hanging out at the lake, eating fresh fruit! LOOVE fresh fruit. Farmers market also begins soon-ish, which will be nice. Bike riding season is upon us! and also my birthday :P yay

Melina April 3, 2011 at 11:03 am

I’m so over the snow! I love warm summer nights when I can sit outside without a jacket. And I’m looking forward to hiking this year!

Jason has a pug (Pugsley) and I totally know what you mean about the snorting! Such a cute dog but we generally can’t watch a movie in peace. Oh well, we love him anyway.

Momma B April 3, 2011 at 11:11 am

Hola! I’m so looking forward to finding my defined arms, abs and legs again – can’t wait to get back on the workout band wagon!!!!

I’m also looking forward to warmer weather – I too am over the snow……

Summer, summer and summer (well and a long fall is a close second :) – being outdoors, fruit, farmer’s market, wake boarding, biking (Harley style now!) but I AM getting my bicycle out!

My very favorite thing about summer has to be coming out of a freezing cold movie theater at 11:00 pm and having it be SO warm, ahhhhhhh I just can’t wait!

I’m coming down tomorrow after work to meet the Griffer man – it’s a date ok?!

xoxo

Amanda (The Nutritionist Reviews) April 3, 2011 at 11:12 am

I can’t wait for all fruit to be in season either. That is easily my favorite part of summer.

Erica April 3, 2011 at 11:16 am

oh my gosh- how cute is griffy? I <3 any dog with lots of wrinkles!!! I can't wait for more warmth. Fresh fruit is the bestest and I just love being outside. Summer is 100% my favorite season!

edenseats April 3, 2011 at 11:47 am

Sadly, you know I have a lot of things really am not looking forward to, but palm springs is NOT one of them!
I’m stoked!

brookeyool April 3, 2011 at 11:48 am

awww man… all of us in this region of the country drew the short straw! (I’m in WA, but close enough!) We’ve had the wettest March in a looong time!!! Past two weekends were flood warnings for western WA…. sucks to be us!
I’m looking forward to the two weeks in July where I can sit outside. :) Only partially kidding. :D
But the fruit is truly fantastic here in the summer, and I *am* looking fwd to making my sauteed nectarine dessert (and I bet my friends are looking fwd to it, too)
Let’s hang in there!

a taste of health with balance April 3, 2011 at 11:50 am

2- hopefully selling our house and buying a new one

Holly @ The Runny Egg April 3, 2011 at 12:02 pm

Griffy is too cute — and your smores look delicious with the fudge stripe cookies instead of grahams! That is awesome.

I am looking forward to getting outside more, going to the beach and maybe taking a little vacation this summer!

Jessy (squeezetheday) April 3, 2011 at 12:29 pm

Summer is without a doubt my favourite season! Main reasons: sun, no classes, seaside vacation, my birthday! I can’t wait!!

Shannon April 3, 2011 at 12:49 pm

I’m definitely looking forward to the warm weather, my birthday (July 18th smack dab in the middle of Summer!), my upcoming trips to Disneyland and hopefully Lake Tahoe.

I love Summer, but I think Fall is my favorite because it’s just starting to get into the holidays.

Allison @ Runs A Latte April 3, 2011 at 12:51 pm

I can’t believe you still have to look at snow! Chicago finally reached about 70 degrees today and I’m ecstatic!

I’m looking forward to running my marathon in a month, wearing sun dresses (so much more flattering than winter clothes), getting married first weekend in September and eating outside!

I love your doggie pics – they’re so cute!

Kelly April 3, 2011 at 12:54 pm

My favorite season is the one Texas doesn’t have: Fall. Sigh.

Michelle April 3, 2011 at 12:58 pm

Wow, sorry to hear about that snow. Blah. I’m looking forward to no longer needing a jacket! Warm weather, I’m ready for ya!! My favorite season is either spring or fall; I just love the moderate temperatures and lack of humidity.

sofia April 3, 2011 at 1:10 pm

damn, more snow?! at least you can ski at brighton… maybe? if it lasts til next weekend? hmmm. love the reminiscent summery and spring photos! today it is lovely in NYC, which is much needed after a cold week. i am SO ready for spring…

1) GRADUATION! i am over being in school. i am ready to once again be a real adult with a real (PAID) job. dolla dolla billz, yes please.
2) spring is my favorite season. it’s my birthday and it’s warm. what could be better?!

2. Fall is my favorite, it’s got the best weather and the cutest clothing!

biz319 April 3, 2011 at 1:30 pm

The gym near my office only has an outdoor pool, so I am looking forward to swimming before work again – such a refreshing way to start the day!!

Sorry for your snow – we got to almost 60 today, but the thunderstorms are rolling in. :(

Karen April 3, 2011 at 1:32 pm

My favorite season is fall!! I love pumpkin picking, Halloween, apple picking, falling leaves, football games, lot of birthdays, my wedding anniversary, Thanksgiving, and spiced cider!

Summer is definitely a close second though! I’m definitely ready for flip flops!!

Mary (A Merry Life) April 3, 2011 at 1:41 pm

That pug is the cutest.

I’m looking forward to my birthday. And to going back to the US for summer, sorta.

My favorite season is spring! :)

chigallauren April 3, 2011 at 1:59 pm

thedelicateplace April 3, 2011 at 2:13 pm

Jenny @ Fitness Health and Food April 3, 2011 at 3:12 pm

I’m actually looking forward to summer which is my favorite season. Winter lasts way too long here in Chicago! Your dogs are adorable. I’ve done several Beachbody programs and Insanity was by far the most intense, I’m sure you’ll love it! :)

livinlifeinlouie April 3, 2011 at 3:20 pm

you had snow! BOO. it was almost 90 degrees here in stl. crazy. I hope it melts quickly!

Laura April 3, 2011 at 3:21 pm

That elderly pug is so adorable! :)

Good luck with Insanity! I’ve heard it’s a great program.

Meg April 3, 2011 at 3:36 pm

I’m glad that you never get tired of pictures of Hunter, because I never get tired of Penny and Randy! I especially love Randy’s big floppy ears.

I’m definitely looking forward to some warmer weather… I’m so over the rain and general dreary weather. My favorite season is definitely Fall!

Faith April 3, 2011 at 3:38 pm

I’m all about summer…can’t wait for peaches and berries galore!

Errign April 3, 2011 at 3:49 pm

I am looking forward to: more texts from a cute boy & moving to Asheville, NC temporarily..and school being out, and summer weather.

I love fall in New England the most :)

megan @ the oatmeal diaries April 3, 2011 at 3:51 pm

I love that photo of you and the pups at the farmer’s market!! And I think sleepy lazy dogs are just too cute. My dog (a golden) exists in a constant state of laziness/sleepiness and I love it. I’m actually in Australia now so it isn’t spring- it’s fall! Boooo! But really it’s still amazing weather so I’m not complaining :)

Stefanie @TheNewHealthy April 3, 2011 at 3:58 pm

I am so excited for hiking as well!! I need to get Sam to do insanity with me! Can’t wait to see how you guys do! :)

Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) April 3, 2011 at 5:01 pm

love all the pics, Miss Janetha!

I love spring and summer, just so freeing, fresh, light, and wonderful :) It’s why I could never live in a cold weather climate…with snow. Gah! No way! I need my 75F or warmer and sunny skies :)

Bess April 3, 2011 at 5:06 pm

I am SO with you on this. Granted, it was 75 and sunny here in NC and I laid out today…but its still chilly some days and in the mornings so I’m ready for constant warmth. I love each season for its own individual weather so at the end of one I’m always ready for the next!

Mariah@Applesnoats April 3, 2011 at 5:48 pm

Awww I wish I could give you some of my Florida sunshine!!
I absolutely love fall! Not only are the leaves falling but it’s almost my fav string of holidays
Halloween thanksgiving and Christmas:)

Pat Braithwaite April 3, 2011 at 5:53 pm

I’m looking forward to warm sunny weather that lasts longer than one day! Please……we’ve had enough rain, snow and cold.
My favorite season is fall because I love to see the changing colors and collecting leaves.

simplyshaka April 3, 2011 at 6:00 pm

I love the doggie nap fest going on. I don’t blame them for sleeping in, I would be all about that as well. Griggy is totally adorable!

I can’t believe it snowed there today. It was 70, sunny and a perfect day. It convinced me I really need to move to San Diego and have weather like that year round. Fall is my favorite season b/c of football and cooler weather but I do like spring for the warm but not too hot weather and flippies!

BroccoliHut April 3, 2011 at 6:16 pm

I’m dreaming about summer too–I wish it would hurry up already!
I am looking forward to getting a dog in a few weeks:)

cleaneatingchelsey April 3, 2011 at 6:43 pm

Today it was freakishly 77 degrees in Chicago. Sorry to rub it in, but it felt so so good. I love everything about summer time!!!

Vanessa April 3, 2011 at 6:56 pm

Your dogs are so flippin adorable!!! I love it. I’m SO excited for the farmer’s markets starting up!

Abby April 3, 2011 at 7:02 pm

I am looking forward to May 5th because that is my first official day of summer! :) My favorite season is spring. I love the weather and everything coming back to life!

Dorry April 3, 2011 at 7:04 pm

It’s so hard for me to pick a favorite season. I love aspects of the all, and usually just feel content in the season we’re in…since we just came from another. I do love springtime. I feel very motivated. And I love autumn because it always makes me very sentimental. I’m looking forward to work tomorrow morning and yoga tomorrow night. Oh, and a wedding in Mexico at the end of May!
