hello, friends!
when one of my siblings has a birthday, i give them a magazine subscription. magazine subscriptions make a great gift. they keep on giving for a whole year! it is like the recipient gets another birthday present in the mail from you every month.
my sister recently had a birthday and so today i hopped online to order her subscription.
i decided to get her a subscription to real simple.
real simple is one of my favorite magazines. i have a subscription myself, in fact. it is chock full of information about food, decorating, household tips, fashion and other fun articles & advice.
much to my surprise, i had an email in my inbox today advertising two for the price of one on real simple subscriptions.
what?!?! that is impeccable timing! (side note: i love the word “impeccable”)
i knew i was ordering a subscription for my sister already, so that gave me a free subscription! since i already have one of my own, i had to decide who to give it to.
i pondered, pondered, pondered.. no other birthdays on the horizon. not sure momma b. would be into the magazine, she’s more into oxygen mag ;) (although, mom, if you would like a subscription to real simple, i would happily buy you one.)
then it hit me: i should give the subscription to one of my readers! obviously. i love you guys. it’s to bad i only have one to give away, as i would love to give each and every one of you a gift. what a shame.

Great giveaway! I don’t subscribe to any magazines anymore, I don’t even buy them since the internet gives me almost everything I need. However, I would love to get back into the habit of getting a fun read in the mail each month!

Lately, I haven’t had many reasons to love life, so this question really made me think! I love the fact that, although we’re struggling to get by, my husband and I have made it through the last year stronger than ever.

I love my life because I have an amazing support system in my family and friends and couldn’t ask for anything more. My mother is undeniably my best friend and my stepfather is only a “step” through blood – he is TRULY a father to me. I also have the benefit of a relationship with my “real” father and all three of my parents get along suprisingly well. I also have the greatest little brother who is the spitting image of me and so similar to me its creepy. So yea, I love my life!

I love my life because I have a wonderful husband, kittehs, and am a homeowner!
I love my life for more than five reasons, but here are some reasons that meals and movers might relate more to…
1) i am engaged to my best buddy and we are getting married on the coolest day of next year: 11-11-11. this man and my family get along swimmingly.
2) i no longer let stress and the nuances in life get the best of me – i can deal with a little chaos if it means i get to hang out with my friends or go to the beach with my fat bulldog.
3) i get to work with my family and friends every day at a gym that my parents own so, parents = my bosses! oh and work is within walking distance from the beach.
4) i am able to walk, move, exercise, and BE despite some major injury setbacks.
5) i have food on my table every night and am fortunate enough that hunger isn’t something that i’ve ever had to deal with.
I love my life because every day I get to be with and talk to friends and family that warm my heart and put a smile across my face. (Oh and because dessert exists!)
GAH!! I’ve wanted a subscription of this for so long! I also love buying magazine subscriptions as gifts.
I love my life because it’s really quite blessed. No major family drama, nice home to live in, able to buy tasty food, lots of supportive loved ones. It sounds silly but watching Law & Order SVU (like last night for 3 hours when I couldn’t sleep) makes me realize how truly blessed I am.
I love my life because I have a great husband and an amazing daughter that I love more and more everyday!
I love my life because I have a great mother and boyfriend and friends. I have accomplished a lot for myself and on my own (law school, running a marathon, losing weight) and I am healthy!! Doesn’t get much better than that. :)

Hi Janetha! I have never commented on your blog before, but I’ve been reading it for a while.
Right now I’m loving life because 2 months ago I quit my job of 7.5 years to pursue a life of my own design. I am taking the time to slow down, pause, breath, learn, listen, feel with all 5 senses, pay attention, and most importantly…be kind to myself.
Oh, and 2 weeks ago I got engaged!

What a great giveaway! I’m loving life right now because I have my health, a wonderful man to share my life with and a loving family!
This would have been a hard question for me to answer a few years ago but one day I decided it was time to love my life again; I got out of a marriage that was going downhill fast, started eating well and lost weight (still a work in progress on that one), learned to love exercise again and recently started running(something I have never been able to do, even as a kid). My life focus is ME, my family, friends, job I love and I feel fortunate every day to be such a strong and independent woman.
This is such a great offer – thanks so much. A recent college graduate living in NY, I have come to understand what it means to have true freedom. I no longer face the social pressures of high school and college, the deadlines of classes, and mentality that comes with being part of a larger group. Yes, I am now working, but I really feel like I’m my own person – doing what I want, when I want, and with whomever I want. This is why I love my life!

To be a little different, I’ll share a moment from this weekend where I just looked around and thought to myself “I. Love. Life.”: I was visiting my aluma mater, drink in hand, my favorite song in the world blasting on the stereo, and I was dancing my heart out with 20 of my best friends :)
