in meals,moves

i think i am addicted to blogging.

i mean, it is 10:30 PM and i am b-e-a-t from a long day.. but i have some serious issues with needing to ramble about today’s meals & moves.

yep. addicted. and i need my fix.

hey, at least it’s not crack!

got LOTS of good responses about how you find the motivation to work out. answers included, but were not limited to:

  • put on your workout clothes
  • think of a yummy post workout snack you will have after the workout
  • lay your clothes out the night before
  • set up your workout equipment so you have to workout.. after all that rearranging!
  • strap  on your heart rate monitor
  • trick yourself into running.. go check the mail, then walk around the block, then start to run
  • imagine yourself up on stage (if you compete)
  • think about your fitness goals and what it takes to achieve them
  • think about how great you feel after a workout

all awesome motivators! thanks for sharing, everyone.

today’s deets, ready, GO!

i had to watch the front desk this morning so my breakfast backdrop was less than impressive. i still took the photo, florescent lighting and all!

1 003

meal 1: egg whites + oatmeal

1 011

4 egg whites (nuked) topped with heinz ketchup.

1 010

1/3 cup oats (cooked in almond milk) topped with 1 TB mighty maple peanut butter.

1 009

i had to eat the oats in my car because my boss needed a ride to pick up his pick up (hehe) RIGHT then. no time for breakfast janetha, we have to go now. ok, boss, if you say so.

i dropped him off and took my sweet time heading back to work, deciding to stop for an iced black coffee en route to the office.

when i got to my desk, there was a large and in charge hot black coffee waiting for me! marshall is a sweetheart and gets me coffee (most) mornings. i hadn’t talked to him this morning and so i wasn’t sure if i’d be seeing him.. but he got me a coffee anyway. too bad i’d snagged my own! i ended up not drinking the hot one and sucking down the iced one. it’s been hot outside lately. i’m feelin’ the iced beverages more than usual!

1 032

the morning slipped away from me and noon came before i knew it! i had nothing on hand for lunch, so i conned my boss into picking up a sandwich for me. it wasn’t very hard.. he was going to go to taco bell but i told him that a sandwich was a much better option and that was that.

1 018

thanks boss. he even snagged me a bottle of water! he knows me too well.

meal 2: 1/2 turkey on wheat+mustard+avocado+tomatoes+black olives+lettuce+s&p

1 030

for all you locals, this was from a little market called town & country, it is on 27th south and main.. and it is delicious. go there, i dare you. love their sandwiches!

1 025

delightful.

1 031

this afternoon i got to make a fool of myself! our web designers need some content for our web page which means i got to be the model for all the photographs we are putting up on the site. i thought we could just take a photo of the windows but my boss had another idea. heaven forbid we put a photo on the website without a person in the shot.

who’s that goon?

1 033

i wonder if my mug will make people want to buy our windows? hah!

after the photog sesh (which, by the way, was very tedious as my boss does not know how to use a DSLR) guess who stopped by?!

1 044

happy day, momma b paid me a visit! i am so glad she is back from costa rica. she’s the light of my life. she had to swing by to grab some wedding odds and ends. IT NEVER ENDS, FOLKS. wedding this, wedding that. neverending wedding plans, i tell ya.

upon leaving the office i blended myself some nourishment:

meal 3: fruity vanilla protein smoothie.

1 048

i have a bunch of frozen fruit in the freezer at work, so i decided to utilize it in shake form. this smoothie didn’t even have one cube of ice! but it did have:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 chunk frozen cantaloupe
  • 5 frozen green grapes
  • 2 frozen strawberries
  • 3 chunks frozen watermelon
  • 1 scoop (30g) vanilla protein powder

creamy and dreamy!

1 046

it was straight to momma b’s house to workout. do not pass go, do not collect $200. how would it be if we got $200 every time we passed “go”?! and where the hell is “go” located, anyway? i would like to find it and i would like my 200 washingtons, please and thanks.

image_thumb39

i haven’t done weights in awhile. my mom has a total gym. it just felt right.

45 minute total body workout

i hit a few key muscles but i was short on time so i didn’t hit them all. i still feel like i worked up a sweat and pumped some iron, so that is what matters.

  • 5 minute plyometric warmup (a la shaun T of insanity)
    • 1 min jog in place
    • 1 min jumping jacks
    • 1 min butt kicks
    • 1 min heisman
    • 1 min 123 heisman

these circuits contain some funky moves that i made up on the spot. i plan to do a photo explanation of each one tomorrow, so sit tight and use your imagination for now!

circuit 1: three times through

move weight reps muscles worked
dumbbell squat to biceps curl to shoulder press on bosu ball 10# ea hand 15 quads, glutes, biceps, shoulders
single leg dumbbell deadlifts with upright row 10# ea hand 15 each leg (30 total) hamstrings, shoulders
russian twist w/ medicine ball on stability ball 8# ball 30 alternating sides arm endurance, obliques
alternate two moves: ball crunch while holding medicine ball and then throw ball up into the air and catch it 8# ball 30 reps of each, alternating abs, chest, biceps

that last move was scary, i thought i was going to drop the medicine ball on my face every time!

circuit 2: three times through

move weight reps muscles worked
bent over dumbbell row 15# ea hand 15 back
overhead triceps extension w/ dumbbell 15# 15 triceps
woodchopper 8# ball 15 each side, consecutively (3o total) obliques, hamstrings, arm endurance
jumping switch lunges body weight 15 each side, alternating (30 total) glutes, quads, hamstrings

the end! that was it! that was all i had time for, i had places to be and houses to paint.

*time for some body talk*

while i was working out in my mom’s gym, that is lined with full length mirrors, i had an “aha! moment”.  i realized that i am super happy with the way i look right now.

i have been complaining to marshall about my weight and about “being fat” (i KNOW i am not fat, i just like to complain) because the number on the scale was up last time i checked. like.. up higher than i’d ever expected. it bummed me out big time and i’ve been working so hard that i just didn’t understand why that number was so high. i have actually not talked about this but i have stressed out majorly about the number. i even cried about it one day. actual tears! and marshall was there to say something to me that i have repeated to myself since he said it. he said “babe, you work out 5-6 days a week and eat healthy 99% of the time. you are not fat and who cares how much you weigh? you are healthy and in shape and that is what matters.”  i knew i was marrying him for a reason. he’s right. i just have to remind myself of that sometimes.

anyway, while i was working out today.. i noticed every angle of my body in the mirror. we are talkin’ every angle. while jumping around like a maniac. and i am happy with it. i could get married tomorrow and be fine with it. now, don’t get me wrong, i am still glad i have a little over 3 weeks to get fully wedding ready.  but for the most part, i’m satisfied with the way i look. i was stressed out before, obsessing over the backs of my arms or the bump of my belly..but i think i was fabricating this in my mind because of the number i saw on the scale. my arms are toned and my abs are chiseled.  stupid scale, making me think otherwise.  so, back to how it used to be.. to hell with the scale. i started weighing myself again when i got engaged so i could get ready for my wedding.. but if i like the way i look then who cares how much i weigh? not me, not marshall and certainly not anyone else.

hope this inspires at least one person. we all have issues, i am no exception. just gotta deal with those issues the most healthy & sane way possible, right? right.

smiles.

*end body talk*

image_thumb42

guess what bar momma b loves so much that she buys it by the boxful?

1 057

yep. the protein kind bar. by the boxful, folks.

1 059

i didn’t think she would miss one ;) let’s call this meal 4, shall we?

then it was off to the house where momma b & i prepped for painting and marshall & my sis in law’s mom, shelley, primed the ceilings. i know, too much excitement for one to handle.

there was a break in the evening where i went to meet with the florist for the wedding! that was fun. i think the bouquets are going to turn out awesome. i am incorporating orchids, one of my favorite flowers!

on the way back to the house i snagged some portable dinner from the grocery store because the house in in shambles and we don’t even have a toilet let alone a functional kitchen. and in case you are wondering, yes.. i had to pee in the backyard behind a bush. no shame.

meal 5: cottage cheese, veggies & hummus, a gala apple

1 072 1 064

dinner of champs.

yawn. it’s been a long day! hopefully i can muster up some time to post tomorrow.  i get cranky if i can’t ramble :)

Qs~

1. what is your favorite flower? i don’t necessarily have a favorite but i love orchids and anything tropical looking. ohh and daisies. something about their simplicity really strikes my fancy!

2. what is your favorite beverage to drink over ice? this is hard. part of me wants to say coffee and the other part wants to say tea. and then there is fresh squeezed lemonade…

Kirsten June 22, 2010 at 10:42 pm

Thanks so much for the inspiration. So true, and I need to hide my own scale too! It’s so easy to let it distort our impressions of ourselves.

jqlee June 22, 2010 at 10:48 pm

such a good reflection. i am happy that you are happy with your body!! you will look FABULOUS on your wedding day.

fav flower is a calla lily.

Laura @ Starloz June 22, 2010 at 11:28 pm

I’m so happy that your happy with your body, it really is all that matters in the long run. you are number one.
It takes a lot to step on the scale, see a number & realize that a number is just a number. it has nothing to do with how your body looks. i see my number has gone up 2 lbs sometimes but i know its nothing, my body changes & adjusts all the time.

I ate oats & then beans then a crumpet this morning, this little piglet had a huge breakfast but i feel great, bucket loads of energy!

Your mum is adorable & oh the fiance brings you coffee everyday, so sweet!

Laura @ Starloz June 22, 2010 at 11:30 pm

oh my favorite flowers are lilys & sunflowers

Alyson @ Nourished Fitness June 23, 2010 at 12:06 am

ahh love your ‘body talk’ :) First question’s a tough one.. love Sunflowers, but also white roses, and I agree with you on anything tropical. Second question.. hands down.. margaritas! :p

Kerry June 23, 2010 at 12:15 am

You have a perfect body! I never weigh myself because it makes me feel so bad about myself! It never ends well, either tears like you or me promising to starve myself. Neither are ideal situations i want to be in! And remember, muscle weighs more than fat! And you are super toned!
My favourtie flowers are tulips and calla lilies! I love iced water. I’ve never actually had iced coffee or iced green tea!

Lee June 23, 2010 at 1:03 am

I have that exact conversation with Jason a lot.

I don’t like ice in anything except water. I don’t like how it melts and makes the drink watery.

MelissaNibbles June 23, 2010 at 2:46 am

Marshall is right! You are healthy and fit. Most importantly, you are a great person with a zest for life and a fun attitude. Someone could have the perfect body, but be a compete a-hole. Looks DO NOT make a person. I have to say, I’d love to have your bod. You’re fit and toned and I’m scrawny and look like Gollum from Lord Of The Rings….I’m funny and a nice person though so I’m okay with it :)

So much coffee! You must’ve been bouncing off the walls. Or off clouds like Tori Amos :)

Erica June 23, 2010 at 3:06 am

awwwww so sweet that Marshall brings you coffee (Josh…are you reading this?? ;)). Busy beeeee. I don’t know how you do it all. Sweet that your mama stopped by too. Love the pictures of you as the glass/window modeler ;) The lunch sandwich looks great- much better than the bell.

1. I worked at a florist growing up so this is a toughy! I love hydrangea, peonies, callas, bells of ireland (more a green than a flower)
2. Coffeeeeeeeeee

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is June 23, 2010 at 3:36 am

Flowers usually make me sneeze, but I love peonies and callalillies.

lindsay June 23, 2010 at 3:49 am

oh yes, scales are nasty. They lie. You are the honest one…and you look damn fine friend! Hard work pays off!
I love sunflowers. they light up the room and make my heart smile. My husband always buys them for me instead of roses. good man!
Iced coffee is the best….black and straight up!

Lauren June 23, 2010 at 3:52 am

I have to admit, I’m kind of glad that you feel this attached to blogging because every time I see a new post from you, it makes my day! :)

My favorite flower is the Lilly and my favorite drink over ice is vodka…haha no just kidding! Coffee of course! ;)

traynharder23 June 23, 2010 at 4:20 am

irises are my favorite! =D

over ice? diet coke or ice coffee.

Sarah (Running to Slow Things Down) June 23, 2010 at 4:25 am

Can I just say how much I love this post and the way you smack talked the scale? Because it’s so true and I know for a fact that you’re inspiring more then just one person reading. The scale gives us a number…nothing more, nothing less. It doesn’t define us and I love how confident you are with yourself.

Keep it up, girl! :D

The Healthy Hostess June 23, 2010 at 4:46 am

Great post! you are so right about the scale- I know exactly what you mean. Im so excited for you to get married – you have a great guy!
:)

Lauren @ Eater not a runner June 23, 2010 at 4:55 am

I’m on an iced coffee kick for sure. And I’d like to find “GO” too please :-)

Anne June 23, 2010 at 5:00 am

I 100 % agree about the scale. I haven’t had one in years and I’ve never missed it.

I have never had iced coffee but EVERY bloody time you bloggers out there take a pic of one of those babies I’m aching to try it ;-). I’ll do it. I’ll just do it. I never have ice in anything.

Glad that you’re embracing your “addiction”, your blog is a joy :-)

Beth @ 990 Square June 23, 2010 at 5:13 am

Thank you so much for being honest about your encounter with the scale. I’ve been having the same issues recently…I’m doing more weight lifting/strength training than ever before, and the scale seems to be creeping up. It’s led to more than one crying fit–I’ve convinced myself of everything from “now I’m 28 my metabolism is changing and I’m getting fat” to “I need to starve myself”. None of that is going to work though, and I know it.

Darryn June 23, 2010 at 5:24 am

Aww. I’m so glad you’ve come around and realized that you feel and look great. It can seriously be a hard thing to get out of those ingrained ways of thinking about our bodies. Thanks for sharing your experience – know that you are certainly not alone in having those kinds of feelings! Anyway, it sounds like you’re seeing things in a really balanced way, and that your hubs-to-be is right there with ya. Awesome girl :)

*Andrea* June 23, 2010 at 5:29 am

love your post addiction..mine is a blog reading addiction ;) better than crack or any drug for sure haha.

i am so glad you wrote about your body image! i think you are so gorgeous and FIT. (i am *jealous* i can’t weight train as much as you do yet…i have the cardio down but need to build up my muscle strength.) you have a man that loves you the way you are NOW… that is so special. and some brides who calorie restrict and overexercise end up being unhappy on their wedding day (or binge eating after because of how unnaturally thin they got) or being grouchy all the way up to the day. i don’t think extreme things like this make any sense. putting the body through severe pain is just cruel.

Heather (Where's the Beach) June 23, 2010 at 5:36 am

I just tried KIND bars for the first time. Not too shabby. So glad to hear that you’re happy with your body. I think that’s awesome. It’s definitely not about numbers. High fives to you! Oh, favorite flower is a rose. Beverage over ice…does a strawberry daiquiri count???? ;-)

Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble) June 23, 2010 at 5:42 am

AWESOME for being happy about how you look, weight or not!! Weight IS just a number- and remember, muscles may weigh the same as fat, but it takes up much less space. So you’re probably just a rock-hard hottie bride :D

I LOVE orchids! But I also love all sorts of wildflowers, which I am having at my wedding!

And best served over ice? Sangria! Or fresh squeezed lemonade. :D

xo
Kris

Runeatrepeat June 23, 2010 at 5:43 am

Marshall sounds like a great guy :) Marry him fast! Oh wait, you already are working on that…
I’ve thought you were a model since I saw your BFL pics.

I am obsessed with iced coffee! Obsessed.

april June 23, 2010 at 5:49 am

The scale is a big fat liar! I’m thinking of throwing mine out. You are so right Janetha- you have an amazing, sculpted body! Don’t listen to what the scale says.. you are beautiful! Oh, and you have to have the sweetest guy ever too!

Patricia Braithwaite June 23, 2010 at 6:34 am

Why does the scale have so much power over us? (Even when we know better) Your reminder was very helpful! Marshall is right. Sometimes it really helps to have someone jolt us into remembering what we already know.
My very favorite flower is the Hibiscus. I went to Hawaii a month ago and felt like I was in heaven. Those flowers are everywhere.
My favorite drink is diet coke (the more ice, the better). I really should give it up, though:)

homecookedem June 23, 2010 at 6:42 am

I don’t weigh myself anymore b/c those numbers are so wonky. They change all the time and if they are that magical number we have in our heads, it ruins the day, week, month… Marshall is exactly right, keep listening to him!! Most importantly, BELIEVING him!! :)

1. favorite flower=sunflowers! They were in my wedding and I even have a sunflower tattooed on my hip!

2. Right now water is my favorite bev. One of the healthy side effects of pregnancy for me has been I want nothing but ice water to drink!! This is coming from a former crystal light, diet soda addict!!

Carbzilla June 23, 2010 at 6:45 am

I’m so glad you found a happy moment with your body! After all your hard work and careful eating, you really deserve that kind of emotional peace. You are going to be the most beautiful bride. That Marshall is a wise man in so many ways. :)

Jessica June 23, 2010 at 6:49 am

So true! Screw the scale. It is nice to be reminded of that from time to time though. This reminder came at a really good time too, my weight has been creeping. I should take a scalecation.

I am loving lillies right now – probably because that is what is blooming in our garden. I am a huge fan of tulips too…

Iced coffee is my fav right now…but that could change tomorrow : )

Hailey Strelich (Adventures in Health) June 23, 2010 at 6:52 am

I had the same epiphany last week when I stepped onto the scale. I felt good before I saw the # and then I cried. Stupid # I shouldn’t let a # dictate how I feel about my body. You look great and don’t even bother with the scale, just go by how you feel and how your clothes fit. That usually works. I just recently put new windows in our house and they were from where your work he he ! -Hailey-

Graze With Me June 23, 2010 at 6:55 am

I had a similar moment recently too. Where I stopped caring whether I still fit into my tight jeans or a skirt that I bought one size too small. I don’t care. I will buy clothes for my present body, not my future (or past) body. That’s the only way I’ll ever feel comfortable. And while I do weigh myself once a month, I’ve come to realize that fluctuations are healthy and natural. Cheers to a healthy body image!

1) I love tulips but I had lilies for my wedding flowers.

2) Lemon water, so refreshing when it’s hot out.

Kim @ Imperfectly Perfect June 23, 2010 at 6:58 am

You are beautiful, healthy & fit. Besides that, you have a wonderful personality that is reflected in your writing. It’s amazing what a stupid number can do to us. I’m glad you were able to see the truth in the mirror yesterday!

As for your questions….1. I love flowers in general. I wish I got them more often! 2. I love iced coffee with a lil skim this time of year. If we’re talking alcohol, vanilla stoli with diet coke is my go to drink. I may start cheating on it with Skyy Citrus and diet though. ;)

Maren June 23, 2010 at 7:07 am

Great words from Marshall! What a sweetheart! Thanks so much for the inspiration! Usually all I need to do is read your blog and it makes me feel great because you are just such a positive upbeat person! :) Orchids are such beautiful flowers! I have to say that lilacs are my absolute fav. It’s definitely my favorite part about running in the spring because they smell soooo good! Favorite bev over ice? Cucumber water! ahhh so refreshing..

Steph June 23, 2010 at 7:13 am

There will always be days that you feel better or worse about your body image.

Here’s the good news – you have all your tremendous dedication diligently documented in your blog! Go back and read the last couple of week’s posts – I promise you will find one thing – the feeling of motivation and confidence you have inspired your readers to strive for.

mayapamela June 23, 2010 at 7:16 am

Janetha! I LOVED your musings on the scale. My body image can be so effed up that I often depend on the number on the scale to define how I feel about myself. The number for the past several months has been a little higher than my “ideal” so consequently, I have not been feeling too good about myself. But the thing is, that like your moment in the gym, every once in a while I have a thought like “hey! I like what I see!” but they don’t last long because a number, A STUPID NUMBER, that is imprinted in my brain as my “perfect weight” gets in the way. It sounds so silly when I type it, but even though I see how ludicrous it is it’s hard to change a mindset that is so ingrained in me. I’m working on it, though, and thanks for this post! It definitely helps. I cannot wait to see your wedding photos! You will be FABULOUS!

Morgan June 23, 2010 at 7:20 am

Thanks for the inspiration! You work so hard and eat well, and will no doubt be a gorgeous bride!
I LOVE orchids. We had sunken orchids in tall square vases as centerpieces at our wedding. They were simple, elegant and beautiful!
Not having a scale is the best thing ever. I started crying in the doctor’s office last week when I saw a number I had NEVER seen before, but then I remembered it’s for a good reason, and I SHOULD be gaining weight, but it’s hard. The bottom line is, it’s just a number!

Therese June 23, 2010 at 7:47 am

Ugh the scale IS evil. In the past few months I have put on a ton of muscle and was happy with that fact…until I made the mistake of stepping on the scale last weekend for the first time since like Christmas. Grrr. Needless to say it was WAAAAY higher than I ever would have expected, but I am trying not to let it get me down! I know I have been having too many adult beverages and too many sweets. I may work out hard but you can’t outtrain a bad diet.
Anywho you are going to look stunning at your wedding! You train so hard, eat like a saint (nearly all the time) and are a great example of a healthy lifestyle! I am mega proud of you for finding a happy place with your body. I’ll join you there some day I hope!

lowandbhold June 23, 2010 at 7:51 am

Loved your body talk! It saddens me to know you were going through a tough time, but I’m so glad you realize how amazing you look and that you’re happy with who you are! Woo hoo!

I looove Irises and also Tulips and Daffodils. I also like hydrangea and bougainvalea (not even close to being spelled correctly) plants. And gardenias. I like flower a lot, so long as I don’t have to grow them :)

I would have to go with lemonade on the drink. Sounds so refreshing!

Jenna June 23, 2010 at 7:52 am

That’s right! Who cares about the number on the scale?! NO ONE ;)

Kaley June 23, 2010 at 8:10 am

1. Favorite flower – tulips or calla lilies. Tulips are just so fun. And calla lies = classy to me.
2. I’m gonna go with lemon shake-ups or margaritas. What? Just keepin’ it real.
3. Good job on accepting yourself. Although I know from experience it’s more of a process than a one-time decision.

Nicole G June 23, 2010 at 8:55 am

Thank you so much for that “body talk.” As I’m nearing the end of my gaining in ED recovery, I’ve really been freaking out about the numbers I’m seeing on the scale. What you said makes so much sense though. Who cares about a number? If I can be comfortable with the way I look then a number is meaningless. I need to keep that in mind.

Thanks again,
Nicole G

cardiopizza June 23, 2010 at 8:57 am

What a great realization you had! That’s awesome and you DO look great :)

Favorite drink over ice? A margarita haha ;)

Sara June 23, 2010 at 8:57 am

GIRLLL!!! Your body looks INCREDIBLE & is 1000x more toned than mine (and I’m six years younger than you!). I’m constantly amazed by your dedication to workout, your consistency with eating right, and how cute you look on a daily basis. See, I’m an extremist “dieter” in that I’m all or nothing. I’m either gaining weight or losing weight and am never consistent. You ARE consistent & since you do it the correct way, you consistently look GREAT. You’re going to be a blonde, toned, bombshell on your wedding day so don’t fret! <3

lisaou11 June 23, 2010 at 9:04 am

I hate the scale too–when I first started working out and when I hit my lowest number—the number I still use to gauge “where I want to be” I had little muscle. Slowly over the years, about 3.5 years, Ive continued lifting etc and have more muscle now…so its no wonder the scale wont go down to where it used to–bc I have more muscle and thats ok b/c it looks good and is healthy.

Anyways, great revelation.

Mel June 23, 2010 at 9:20 am

You are going to be a gorgeous bride! I think you look awesome and I love reading your blog :-)

1. what is your favorite flower? I love flowers in general, tropical flowers are my favorites. Probably plumeria

2. what is your favorite beverage to drink over ice? Flavored teas

Mama Pea June 23, 2010 at 9:36 am

You are the hottest window model I’ve ever seen!

I love that you are accepting your body and at such a great time too! I’ve had the same talk with myself that Marshall had with you…I work out hard and eat clean, what more could I ask for from myself/my body?!

Have a great Wednesday!

Angharad June 23, 2010 at 9:48 am

So glad that you are feeling good about yourself Janetha. That’s REALLY important. I’ve stopped weighing myself ever (doctors twice a year maybe?!) so I put a lot more value on how I feel and look in the mirror. That goes up and down but when you feel good in your own skin, hells bells it feels good :)

Daffodils!! They are my birth month flower and they just scream “English Spring!” to me. I love them.
Iced coffee. Although these smoothies are getting to me in a good way – do they count?!

Marissa June 23, 2010 at 10:30 am

I love really light, lacy flowers (like Queen Anne’s Lace, even though that’s a weed…) And I loved iced coffee so much! And you’re right about the scale. I used to weigh obsessively… now I only get on a scale when my doctor makes me for a weigh-in! I can’t stand weighing myself. I say I don’t care, but I know I really do. And that’s not constructive. Going by how you look is always best, and the only thing that really matters!

greensandjeans June 23, 2010 at 10:54 am

Those acceptance moments are really pretty magical, aren’t they? You are going to be one smoking hot bride! I don’t even look at the number on the scale when I go to doctor’s appointments because I know how just KNOWING can make me feel. I know what I see when I look in the mirror, and that’s really all that matters!

Tay June 23, 2010 at 11:13 am

Oh yay, I loved your little body talk inspiration there. GO YOU!!!! Why is it that at whatever weight we are (even our absolute skinniest), we just want to complain about a little jiggle or feeling a little fat. When we should really be appreciating our bodies how they are RIGHT NOW?! You are hot and beautiful!!! Favorite flower would have to be tulips!! Love them. And I LOVE iced coffee. Love love love!

I used to get on the scale once a week. I felt great about myself, but have gained five pounds since January and all i kept thinking about was that dang number. Wellll, a couple weeks ago.. I stopped getting on the scale and have felt fabulous.. I’m so temped sometimes but just remind myself i don’t want it to ruin my next couple days.. soo thanks for the inspiration! )
