jam packed.

by Janetha on May 23, 2010

in meals,moves

those are the two words that i’d use to describe this past weekend. and since it has been so busy (and is still not over!) i think this post will be somewhat snappy.

friday.

after work, i hit up the gym for some cardio:

minute # speed MPH incline %
1 5.0 0
2 5.5 0
3 6.0 1
4 6.5 1
5 7.0 1
6 7.5 1
7 6.0 1
8 6.5 1
9 7.0 1
10 7.5 1
11 6.0 1
12 6.5 1
13 7.0 1
14 7.5 1
15 6.0 1
16 6.5 1
17 7.0 1
18 7.5 1
19 6.0 1
20 6.5 1
21 7.0 1
22 7.5 1
23 4.0 0
24 4.0 0

2.5 miles total.

friday night was the bachelorette party.  a lot of you thought it was MY bachelorette party for some reason…? i’m not getting married until july 17, folks. this party was for one of my best friends, summer!

IMG_2023

meet summer. probably one of the most sexual people i know.. so a whole party dedicated to her that involved all things penis shaped was basically her dream come true!

we all headed up to park city, about 20 miles east of salt lake city.  it is a cute mountain town and is a quick place to go for an overnight getaway.  we had several cute, little condos rented out for the overnight party.

image

things started off with snacks: chips & salsa, pita & spinach dip and-of course- the obligatory penis shaped cookies!IMG_2022

there were also cocktails.. with straws to fit the occasion ;)

image

creeps.

IMG_2028

once everyone (well, almost everyone!-there was a massive car accident in the canyon and several guests ended up having to take a 2 hour detour!) arrived, we walked up main street to wasatch brewery for dinner.

IMG_2036IMG_2042

they sat us upstairs in the cantina!IMG_2043

i went with the cobb salad with avocado ranch on the side~ IMG_2049

it was the perfect portion size and it was delicious!

dinner was a lot of fun, we went around the table sharing stories about summer. there were a lot of laughs and  i am positive we embarrassed the bride just a little bit!

after dinner it was back to the condos where summer opened her gifts.IMG_2066

no words required.

and then it was off to the bar!

image

i wish i had more photos. i didnt take my camera to the bar and nobody has uploaded theirs yet.. there are some hilarious shots! i’ll post them eventually…

then it was back to the condos for PJs and girl talk. you know.

IMG_2083 IMG_2089 IMG_2091

epic night. bottom line.

saturday.

before leaving park city, we grabbed some breakfast that was next door to the condos where we stayed.

IMG_2106

super cute place.

IMG_2105 IMG_2104

i went with 2 eggs (over medium), wheat toast & sliced tomatoes~IMG_2102

and coffee. x3. IMG_2097

the park city sunrise blend was delicious!

saturday afternoon i went to the gym and didn’t really keep track of my workout. sometimes it is nice to just “do whatever”.. i ended up on the treadmill for 40 minutes, varying between walking at a 15% incline at 3.0 MPH and running 1 minute intervals at a 2% incline anywhere between 6 MPH and 8.5 MPH.  i went 2.5 miles total.

post-workout goodness was a banana cinnamon green protein smoothie~

IMG_2109

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop lean dessert banana nut protein powder
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • tons of cinnamon
  • 8 ice cubes

IMG_2107

yum.

i am going to fast forward to saturday night because i have a movie to catch.. so i need to speed this up!

we were going to the demolition derby which was up in a town called ogden.. and whenever i go to ogden (which is not often) i have to eat at one place:

IMG_2119

pita pit! i have NO idea why they don’t put a pita pit in salt lake. it is so dang delicious.. someone should open a franchise location by my house. please and thanks :)

IMG_2122 IMG_2120

my pita:

IMG_2124

  • wheat pita
  • chicken
  • spinach
  • hummus
  • feta
  • mushrooms
  • olives
  • cucumber
  • onion
  • bell pepper
  • tomato
  • probably more stuff that i can’t remember…

IMG_2123

and then it was off to the derby! so ghetto fabulous.

IMG_2135

IMG_2137

lucky us, we sat on my fave #!  IMG_2126

the only problem is that it was FREEEEEEZING! i am convinced that it is NOT may. we had to get hot chocolate!

IMG_2138

ugh. hot chocolate in may? not cool, utah, not cool. i even went as far as sitting in the car at the very end of the derby! yes, it was that cold.

sunday.

today has been a weird day. i ate a small mug of cereal this morning and had some coffee before hitting up bed, bath & beyond where we registered!

IMG_2144

registering is not as easy as i expected it to be! but it was still fun.

IMG_2141

“G” coasters for my new last name!

IMG_2140

we finally gave up after about an hour and decided to hit up chipotle because we were staaaarving.

IMG_2145

i had a burrito bowl with all my essentials: chicken, grilled veggies, lettuce, black beans, pico, corn salsa, lettuce and GUAC.

it was “unburritable!”

IMG_2148

haha. i laughed. out loud.

i have eaten out WAY too many times in the past 3 days. 4 times, to be exact. at least i kept it relatively healthy.. but still.. i would rather eat food i make myself.

oh well, such is life!

and NOW we are heading to the movies.

toldja.

jam packed.

gotta go!

tomorrow is summer’s wedding (yay!) so i may be out too late to post. but we’ll see!

hope you all had a great weekend :)

Qs~

1. what’s in your chipotle burrito bowl?

2. what is the last restaurant you ate out at?

homecookedem May 23, 2010 at 6:34 pm

What a fun weekend!! Bachelorette parties are so scandalous and fabulous, hehe!! ;)

I really wish we had a pita pit!!

Brynne May 23, 2010 at 6:36 pm

Penis straws are probably the best thing I’ve ever heard of, no lie.

I’m DYING for a Pita Pit near me – I’ve never been. Of course, Chipotle would be nice too, but none for me :0( I would definitely go with every vegetable they have, black beans, lettuce, pico, and boat loads of guac.

The last restaurant I ate out at was Asian Bistro – veggie dumplings, house salad with delicious ginger dressing, and seafood hot and sour soup – I love mixing the best appetizers!

overconcerned May 23, 2010 at 6:36 pm

Woah, incredibly busy there! I wish my days were just as busy… but then again maybe relaxing is fun too? ;)

Reading about bachelorette parties on blogs sorta scare me. Just sayin’. (I’m only 15!!)

ashley May 23, 2010 at 6:39 pm

I’ve never had Chipolte :(

andrea May 23, 2010 at 6:40 pm

Just had really unhealthy food at TGIF, I love to get the same burrito bowl you got except I ask them for the slightest teeniest drop of sour cream and a spec of cheese….i get the weirdest look like im blaspheming by holding off on two mexican food staples but oh well lol…

Mary @ What's Cookin' with Mary May 23, 2010 at 6:47 pm

I’ve never been to chipotle! I know… the horror! My hubby doesn’t like it, so that means we don’t eat it ;P

The last place I ate out was… *hides head in shame* Wendy’s… had to be done, no way around it. That’s all I have to say about that. haha

Lee May 23, 2010 at 7:00 pm

I totally want to wear a penis headband for my bachelorette (in 3 weeks).

I usually go this place called Willy’s (haha, I’m talking about a place called Willy’s right after a penis headband) instead of Chipotle. It’s very similar but they have tofu. My salad usually consists of black beans, lettuce, tofu, salsa, sometimes guac, red peppers, cucumbers and olives.

lindsay May 23, 2010 at 7:01 pm

Thos bachlorette pics cracked me up! Too funny! I love chipotle. I get just about the same with you with LOT OF GUACAMOLE, yea!
Last restaurant we ate at? Hmm…….does whole foods count?

Whole Body Love May 23, 2010 at 7:06 pm

I ate lunch at a bar with a friend from nursing school and I ended up paying $10.00 for a grilled chicken salad! Ugh now I remember why I don’t eat out!

Melissa May 23, 2010 at 7:09 pm

Glad you had fun at the Bachelorette Party. Did it make you psyched for your celebration?

I went out to eat a lot this weekend: Starbucks, Hibachi, D’Angelo’s, and ordered Italian food to eat while watching Lost. :)

ari May 23, 2010 at 7:10 pm

i think i remember reading on a post that you don’t drink. but you have a drink in your hand in those pictures. so i’m just curious if i’m crazy or not :)

Michelle May 23, 2010 at 7:14 pm

Love all the penis stuff! Bachelorette parties are so much fun … all of my friends are married w/kids so those days are long gone! lol

Chipoltle bowl: lettuce, guac, chicken and tons of pico. Not a huge fan of Chipotle but it will do in a pinch. The Pita Pit looks *really* good!

Last time out to eat? Red Robin last night … had a lettuce-wrapped turkey burger w/ mustard, sauteed onions and guac.

katie May 23, 2010 at 7:31 pm

I totally agree..I would WAY rather eat food I made myself! Not only do I know what’s in it, but I think it usually tastes better! :)

paijery May 23, 2010 at 7:35 pm

It looks like you had a great weekend! The stagette looked like tons of fun! I looove pita pit! It’s my fast food restaurant of choice for sure.

I have never been to Chipotle. I never even knew it existed until south park did an episode about it ;)

I ate out for lupper today at Las Palapas! They have the best squash and black bean burritos! xx

Sweet Cheeks May 23, 2010 at 7:42 pm

hahaha I love the photos of the Summer…so funny! I agree; i like to make my own food and know exactly what I’m putting into my body!

Have a great time tonight!

Erica May 23, 2010 at 7:47 pm

What a fabulous weekend! The bachelorette party looks like so much fun! I love that she wore white and ya’ll wore black- too cute!!!!!! And 2 is my favorite number, so I think its pretty awesome that 22 is your favorite :) . We had a pita pit in State College and now we have on in Charleston- love <3 Hope your have a good rest of the night :)

Nicole May 23, 2010 at 8:29 pm

First off, had a laugh with the #22. That has been a family fav number forever. All our phone numbers had a 22 in it and license plates. Mine is still 222…

Not a fan of Chipotle at all, Qdoba holds my heart and it’s a queso burrito with chicken for me!

Last restaurant eaten at: CHAPALAS! My fav place, cheap delicious mexican food. If you have lived in Vegas for a while you know where it is and probably 1,000 others who do too.

closet365project May 23, 2010 at 8:30 pm

Yay for fun weekend! The only bachelorette party I have ever been to was my own, but it was about as penis-filled as that one. I was a little traumatized. Fun traumatized but traumatized.

1- I haven’t eat at Chipotle in years because the husband is a Qdoba freak. I get the naked burrito with chicken, black beans, rice and pico. And then steal a few bites of the husbands tortillas a quac.

2 – I ate out tonight. Flatbread pizza and a salad. It was meh.

Erika @ Dr.TriRunner May 23, 2010 at 9:15 pm

chipotle will forever hold a new place in my heart as the restaurant that de-veg*nized me. and that first night… i had beef. mooooooo :)

i’m yet to try the shredded chicken or pork or anything else, but i like the burrito bowls, and i LOVE salsa verde and all their hot sauces! can’t. get. enough.

the boy and i ate Green Mill tonight!

BroccoliHut May 23, 2010 at 9:27 pm

Pita Pit and Chipotle in the same weekend?? Amazing.

Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) May 23, 2010 at 9:27 pm

oh penis shaped cookies, butt grabbing, and drunken revelry…how come I wasn’t invited??!! THat looks like SO much fun!!!!!!!! Dang i wish i could come to yours!

And not keeping track of workouts…yes, that’s the spirit! I dont keep track of mine. I just lift heavy and grunt and lift til I am going to die. And then i go home. Repeat tomorrow. That’s how i “keep track”

xoxo

Detective Lara May 23, 2010 at 9:34 pm

Oh you KNOW I love the Chipotle bowls :) I usually get the exact same thing you got, except with both kinds of beans. Last time I went though, I tried their steak for the first time, which was AMAZING!

Looks like a fun bachelorette party!

Alyson @ Nourished Fitness May 23, 2010 at 9:57 pm

ahh what a fun weekend! I’m heading to Vegas next weekend for one of my oldest friend’s bachelorette parties, should be fun craziness! Chipotle bowl: chicken, salsa, guac.. I’m pretty simplistic :)

kbwood May 23, 2010 at 10:22 pm

LOVE pita pit! I NEED CHIPOLTE! can you believe ive NEVER HAD IT!?
so cute yall went to the derby! haha! love your life! LOVE YOU!

Jenna @ Healthy. Happy. Well. May 23, 2010 at 10:48 pm

Woooo! You have got to be exhausted! So many things in such a short amount of time! Looks fun though!

Jennie May 23, 2010 at 10:51 pm

I just bought coconut milk for the 1st time and was thinking of using it my smoothies. I see that you use almond milk. Do you know the pros/cons of each? I’m trying to reduce my dairy intake. :)

MelissaNibbles May 24, 2010 at 1:54 am

Hahaha! I have a penis straw that I drink out of when my boyfriend and I play Jenga on Saturday nights (yes, we are party animals). He drinks out of a beer glass of boobies.

I’m going to try that cardio workout this morning! I’m sceerrred!

I’ve never had a chipotle bowl or whatever that thing is you asked and the last place I ate out at was Sushi Joy in Plymouth, MA (where the pilgrims landed!) on Saturday night. It was delish!

missjonesincollege May 24, 2010 at 2:56 am

we have the same lucky number!

& park city is literally one of my favorite places in the U.S.

also, Pita Pit has a location a block away from me at school, I guess I need to start taking advantage of it more often :) :)

xoxo Miss Jones

http://missjonesincollege.blogspot.com… just made the change back!

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is May 24, 2010 at 3:43 am

Ahhhh LOVE Chipotle. I need both kinds of beans, rice, chicken, and lots of GUAC!

Lauren May 24, 2010 at 4:37 am

OMG, the bachelorette party looked like a blast!!! Makes me miss mine but gets me excited for yours! Haha, I may just end up flying out to SLC to be at yours b/c I only imagine it will be amazing. :)

I wish we had a pita pit too!!! Nothing like that around here and it’s so sad.

My chipotle bowl is just like yours minus the chicken.

Have a wonderful Monday love!

Heather (Where's the Beach) May 24, 2010 at 5:38 am

Oh I loved doing the registry thing! Sounds like you had a fantastic (full) weekend. We don’t have a Chiptole here. The last restaurant I ate at was a pizza joint called Vino’s.

Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine May 24, 2010 at 5:46 am

The bachelorette party looks like so much fun! My brother’s fiancee’s is in a few weeks, and I’m super excited for it…must get my hands on some of those straws! I always get the vegetarian burrito bowl with beans, lettuce, veggies, salsa and guac at chipotle. So good! And the last time I ate out was sometime last week. Sushi baby! Hope you have a wonderful Monday girl!!

Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble) May 24, 2010 at 5:56 am

What a fun bachelorette party! I can’t wait for mine now :P

My burrito bowl? Everything except the meat, light on the cheese, extra avocado! Yum!

And I ate at Red Stripe yesterday- it’s a brasserie so I had a huge bowl of french onion soup with a hunk of fresh baked bread, and a big salad with goat cheese, walnuts and raspberries. Soooo good.

holly (the healthy everythingtarian) May 24, 2010 at 7:32 am

Lindsay May 24, 2010 at 7:44 am

Bachelorette parties are so fun! The cookies crack me up everytime!

Naomi(onefitfoodie) May 24, 2010 at 7:50 am

Heather May 24, 2010 at 7:53 am

A pita out just opened up about 5 minutes from my house and I haven’t made it there yet. To tell you the truth i’ve never actually been into one. Crazy right?! I lurv chipotle :) chicken, black beans, grilled veggies, fresh tomato salsa and insane amounts of guac in mine.

Tina May 24, 2010 at 8:32 am

Wow that is a busy weekend! I can’t believe it is still cold for you guys. I wouldn’t be able to stand it. Love all the bachelorette pictures. Those nights are always so fun. I have to plan one for sometime this summer.

I don’t think I’ve ever eaten at a Chipotle. I love Moe’s though.

april May 24, 2010 at 8:56 am

What a fun weekend!! You gals are too funny with your straws! LOL

freckledfoodie May 24, 2010 at 9:41 am

I’ve never seen so many penises in one post before! Haha. Looks like a blast though! I wish there were cool places like the Pita Pit in my area. We don’t have ANYTHING good and fresh like that! Cute coasters, too! How long do you think it will take you to start signing using your new last name, once you’re hitched?! :)

1. In my burrito bowl would be shredded lettuce, tomatoes, diced onion, salsa, grilled veggies, chicken (made with taco seasoning), and topped off with a bunch of greek yogurt! MMMM.

2. The last place I ate out at was called Fiesta Mexico. It was the night before my Pops left for Nicaragua!

Tay May 24, 2010 at 9:49 am

Wellllllll Chipotle just happens to be the last place I ate out! And I had a veggie salad (I get the veggie because you don’t have to pay extra for guac…HOLLA!). Lettuce base, (extra) black beans, veggies, corn salsa, (extra) tomato pico de gallo, guac, sour cream (on the side so I can add just a teensy bit). YUMMMM.

Katherine: What About Summer? May 24, 2010 at 10:02 am

what a fun bachlorette!

I happen to love all things wedding. I hope pictures of white dresses come soon!? haha registering would be very hard. So many decisions!

Hayley May 24, 2010 at 10:10 am

Burrito bowl: chicken, rice, fajita veggies, tomato salsa, corn salsa, guac.
I don’t -actually- want any of my friends to get married anytime soon (I’m 21!) but I so look forward to bachelorette parties filled with penis shapes.

julie May 24, 2010 at 10:36 am

ah! the one time i was in utah i stayed in park city! it was GORGEOUSSSSSS i think it was also during the film festival so nice!! and super swanky. i think that’s the place right?

anyways we got those edible undies for my bestie in her bachelorette party hahaha love them so much. well idk if i do haha but i love giving them hahaha

jqlee May 24, 2010 at 11:20 am

this was the best food post ever. that is my exact bfast, i love pita pit and chipotle bols are heaven.

i get a veggie salad bol with beans, fajita veggies, mild and medium salsa, lettuce, and guac. LOVE <3

i've never been to a bachelorette party – not yet at least. looks like a lot of inappropriate fun :)

ps. my sister was driving on that highway and she was stuck in that traffic. apparently a lady was trying to pass up this car and then a gust of wind knocked her car into the guardrail and then hit the other car. the lady died and her baby is okay. not sure what happened to the person in the other car.

hundredtenpounds May 24, 2010 at 11:31 am

That’s so funny! I went to a bachelorette party on Saturday night. It was much more lowkey though, no penis decor! ;)

elaine May 24, 2010 at 12:00 pm

yum i love pita pit! i can never get tired of a hummus pita, complete with grilled spinach, tomatoes, mushroom, and all sorts of other fresh veggies!

i usually order the salad at chipotle: lettuce, cilantro lime rice, black beans, grilled veggies, corn salsa, tomato salsa, LOTS of guacamole ;-)

runningaroundnormal May 24, 2010 at 12:16 pm

What a FUN jam-packed weekend! You and your girls are too cute.
The last place I ate out at was Chipotle!
I get the veggie burrito bol, with extra guac. Best guac ever.

Dawn (HealthySDLiving) May 24, 2010 at 12:39 pm

LOVE all the party props! lol
Omg I can NOT wait to register…although I’m sure when the time comes it’ll be WAY overwhelming!

holly May 24, 2010 at 12:39 pm
