meals

meal 1: protein PB&J oat BRAN @ 8:00 AM

IMG_0408

i was out of rolled oats so i used my backup supplies which was in the form of oat bran! i forgot how much i like this stuff. it fluffs up quite nicely!

IMG_0405

this was 1/3 cup oat bran cooked stovetop in 1.5 cups of water and obscene amounts of cinnamon then i stirred in 1 serving of vanilla protein powder (i use EAS brand) and one egg white (hello volume factor!) and topped it off with 1 TB mighty maple PB and 1 TB smucker’s sugar free jam.

IMG_0409

360 calories, 11g fat, 35g carbs, 35g protein

i love it when my protein/carb ratio is spot on. i didn’t even mean to!

averie posted a pretty sweet link to a quiz to take in order to find out your metabolic type which was rather interesting! i took the test and found out i am a balanced oxidizer and it suggests a macronutrient makeup of 30% protein, 30% fat and 40% carbs.. welllll~ since i eat 40/40/20 (protein/carb/fat) i think that i am in pretty good shape!

a few tid bits about guidelines to follow regarding my oxidation type (balanced):

  1. Don’t eat meals made up of just one macronutrient. Make sure you adhere to your ideal ratio of 40 percent carbs, 30 percent protein, and 30 percent fat.
  2. Don’t drink alcohol. It depletes glycogen storage in the liver, which causes an increase in blood sugar and fat storage. In addition, you will most likely experience a sugar crash, which leads to a heightened appetite for carbs and the nutrients you need to metabolize them. If you do have a drink, choose wisely and avoid sugary cocktails, beer, and wine. Opt instead for clear alcohols such as vodka or rum with calorie-free mixers, like club soda diet, light fruit juices or diet Snapple. And there’s always straight or on the rocks as well.
  3. Don’t eat foods that are high on the glycemic load index. If you should happen to eat high-GLI foods, make sure you accompany them with protein in order to show down the rate of oxidation and stabilize blood sugar and energy levels.
  4. Don’t drink too much caffeine. Caffeine is only effective as a fat burner or performance enhancer when taken in pill form and combined with aspirin. In the forms of coffee, tea, or soda, caffeine gives you short-term energy but does that by signaling to your adrenal glands to dump all of their store out into your blood. When the caffeine wears off, your adrenal glands are so depleted they have to take a break, which means that you feel tired and weak.
  5. Don’t overcook your meat. Avoid overcooked animal products, since heat destroys essential amino acids and valuable enzymes.

good to know!!  you can go take the test and learn more about your oxidation type! it is pretty cool stuff, thanks for the link, averie!

meal 2: egg white wrap + veggies & hummus @ 12:30 PM

IMG_0411

i was hoping for a savory wafflewich to celebrate waffle wednesday, but i am out of freezer waffles! foiled.

IMG_0414

instead, i cooked 4 egg whites in the microwave and wrapped them in a tumaro’s low carb garden wrap along with a wedge of laughing cow light, some heinz reduced sugar ketchup and a nice pillow of alfalfa sprouts.

IMG_0415

yum. i added some cucumber slices + green bell pepper sticks with a TB of sabra on the side for added veggie intake and CRUNCH!

IMG_0413

meal 3: 6 oz plain chobani + one of LIZZY’S COOKIES & CREAM POW WOW BARS! @ 3:30 PM

IMG_0416

liz knows what’s up in the bar making department! this was my very last pow wow :( so far i have tried the chunky monkey PB pow wow, the GREEN pow pow,  the espresso COFFEE charged pow wow and the COOKIES & CREAM pow wow (not official names~ i can’t remember the tech terms!)  my favorite is the PB, then the cookies & cream, then the greenie and then the coffee one (b/c it had raisins!) but they have ALL BEEN DELICIOUS! i am sure any other pow wow taste tester would agree! thanks, lizzz!

IMG_0421IMG_0420

this snack clocked in around 230 calories, 4g fat, 30g carbs & 30g protein.

wanna hear about something radical to the max?

lindsay sent me this FANTASTIC website regarding treadmill conversions which actually converts your treadmill speed + incline into what your pace is equivalent to! check it out.

it is cool to see the pace changes as the incline rises! for example:

6.0 MPH=10:00 mile (when running outside)

BUT.. it varies according to your incline when on the treadmill. like this:

treadmill speed
(MPH)
incline
(%)
actual pace
(minutes per mile)
6.0 0% 10:26
6.0 1% 9:52
6.0 2% 9:24
6.0 3% 9:00
6.0 4% 8:38
6.0 5% 8:19
6.0 6% 8:02
6.0 7% 7:46
6.0 8% 7:32
6.0 9% 7:19
6.0 10% 7:07

pretty interesting, right?? thanks lindsay!

in my workout below, i have listed my “actual pace” according to my incline and this table!

moves

it was a HIIT day today and it was also drizzzzzly and super rainy! i never want to exercise when it is rainy out. i wonder why? anyone else feel this way??

i sucked it up and hit the gym!

today i did an increasing incline interval set.

i was originally going to do 20 minutes of HIIT but i opted to do 30 minutes because i was having so much fun.. i know, that sounds ridiculously nerdy. sorry. it’s true! you just do the same five minute interval (speed-wise) but increase your incline by 0.5% with each new set of intervals.. and keep going until you are famished! i am going to aim for 35 minutes/max out at 4.0 incline next time. naomi, you gotta try this one!

minute # speed (MPH) incline
(%)
pace treadmill says
(minute/mile)
actual pace
(minute/mile)
0-1 6.0 1.0 10:00 9:52
1-2 6.5 1.0 9:14 9:09
2-3 7.0 1.0 8:34 8:32
3-4 7.5 1.0 8:00 7:59
4-5 8.0 1.0 7:30 7:30
5-6 6.0 1.5 10:00 9:39
6-7 6.5 1.5 9:14 8:57
7-8 7.0 1.5 8:34 8:21
8-9 7.5 1.5 8:00 7:50
9-10 8.0 1.5 7:30 7:21
10-11 6.0 2.0 10:00 9:24
11-12 6.5 2.0 9:14 8:45
12-13 7.0 2.0 8:34 8:10
13-14 7.5 2.0 8:00 7:40
14-15 8.0 2.0 7:30 7:13
15-16 6.0 2.5 10:00 9:12
16-17 6.5 2.5 9:14 8:34
17-18 7.0 2.5 8:34 8:01
18-19 7.5 2.5 8:00 7:31
19-20 8.0 2.5 7:30 7:05
20-21 6.0 3.0 10:00 9:00
21-22 6.5 3.0 9:14 8:23
22-23 7.0 3.0 8:34 7:51
23-24 7.5 3.0 8:00 7:23
24-25 8.0 3.0 7:30 6:58
25-26 6.0 3.5 10:00 8:49
26-27 6.5 3.5 9:14 8:14
27-28 7.0 3.5 8:34 7:43
28-29 7.5 3.5 8:00 7:14
29-30 8.0 3.5 7:30 6:52

SO.. as you can see, the increasing incline made my pace soar. i challenge each and every one of you to start increasing your incline next time you run on the treadmill, even if it is just by 0.5%!!

i definitely noticed a difference in my average heart rate for this workout. i hit a max of 178 and an average of 158.  i was pleased with this!

i finished my workout off by walking at a 15% incline @ 3.5 MPH while reading a magazine. i tapped out at 55 minutes and went 5 miles total.

i want to make something clear

i am NOT doing extra cardio for weight loss reasons or to supplement my BFL workouts. i am actually doing longer cardio sessions because i am working towards hitting my mileage goal which is to clock 400 miles in 2010. just wanted you all to know that, and i truly do believe you can see results with 20-30 minutes of high intensity interval training. if i didn’t have a mileage goal to work toward, i would have ended my workout at the 30 minute mark. the end.

meals

meal 4: egg scramble salad & pineapple! @ 7:00 PM

IMG_0438

this dinner definitely fits into the random theme of this post. first off, not sure why my egg white scramble looks brown.. but i swear to you those are egg whites~ not browned turkey burger or anything!

i will show ya how i made dinner!

first i sauteed some mushrooms, diced bell peppers, onion and spinach in cooking spray:

IMG_0425

added 1/2 cup egg whites+1 whole egg:

IMG_0433

scrambled it!

IMG_0434

next, i made a bed of spinach + 1/3 cup low fat cottage cheese:

IMG_0435

and then topped it with the egg scramble:

IMG_0439

since this was very low carb, i added a cup of fresh diced pineapple to my meal.. eaten straight from the cutting board!

IMG_0428

pineapple is soooo good right now. sorry susan.

dinner totals: ~280 calories, 6g fat, 27g carbs, 30g protein

i have also managed to consume a whole alliebar throughout the day today. a nibble here, a nibble there. ALLIE YOUR BARS ARE THE JAM!

i have a couple fun photos from one of the coolest readers EVER>>>>>KELLY!

Kate April 21, 2010 at 8:05 pm

i’m really scared of treadmill incline.

i can’t stand jelly beans! or most candy. i’m really lucky like that. but i’m a sucker for pizza…

i pretty much eat snacks all day long. i’d eat meals in snack form, given the option, since i like small, diverse portions. i love cheese and veggies with various creative dips. i love crackers with melted cheese and tuna or meat.

you know how i feel about jeans and engagement photos. hell yes!!

Kate April 21, 2010 at 8:06 pm

also, cute graphics at the top!! love it.

kbwood April 21, 2010 at 8:17 pm

Run Sarah April 21, 2010 at 8:18 pm

Intense HIIT/treadmill workout! Love the higher protein snack ideas. Greek yog + cereal or berries, or protein cakes have been my recent favourites.

Nicci April 21, 2010 at 8:30 pm

It’s time for bed, but now I want some creamy oat bran. lol

closet365project April 21, 2010 at 8:32 pm

I like your idea from your comment the other day to do a belted cardigan of some sort over a dress. It was a couple of weeks ago that I was at Wet Seal but they were having a $15 dress sale with tons of cute dresses.

If you want to wear jeans, you would look super cute in a dress w/ jeans. I know it sounds weird but some people can pull it off and I think you’re one of them. Holla if you want more ideas. I’m not the greatest at giving fashion advice, (even though I am clearly obsessed with clothes) but I’m happy to help.

actorsdiet April 21, 2010 at 8:38 pm

i haven’t had a black jelly bean in forever! i don’t mind them, but i prefer the jelly belly kinds….especially coconut…

ashlan April 21, 2010 at 9:07 pm

I love your new layout. Most of all I love the picture of your rockin’ body! You amaze me! Have your mom call my dad about sinks and fixtures (and for those of you in need of a home or to sell a home as Janetha said a few post ago. Momma sue is the best agent around, they don’t get any better). There is a line of stuff called plumber friendly we did it in our last house great quality without the price.

Deb (SmoothieGirlEatsToo) April 21, 2010 at 9:17 pm

Whaaa? You’re not good with fashion? You kidding? You are a fashionista!

Um, just gonna say it straight up I don’t like the whole metabolic type talk- no alcohol, no caffeine, bla bla bla. Why live?

What is a pow wow? I think I need to know.

If I dcreased (no, let me rephrase that- WHEN I decreased) my exercise to 30 minutes I gained about 10 pounds. Not cool. I don’t blame you even though it’s for your mileage goal. I had to increase my amount because I was gaining weight, Plain and simple.

Love your giveaway- it rocks!

Deb (SmoothieGirlEatsToo) April 21, 2010 at 9:35 pm

Wah, Once again foiled. I looked for that gal’s pow wows and they were no where. Is she selling hers too?!!

jqlee April 21, 2010 at 9:36 pm

I LOVE some pineapple right now too. And I’m also eating lots of strawberries and cantaloupe. All in season and on sale!! :)

I have never tried oat bran! I’ve never had hot cereal either, just oats. Maybe it’s time I expand my horizons as my oats supply is slowly but surely depleting now.

Jill April 21, 2010 at 9:41 pm

I don’t know where to get cheap fixtures but you should get the one that turns on when you touch it. Ikea has a sink I want – it’s huge!

I did jeans for my engagements. Where are you having them at?

emily April 21, 2010 at 9:48 pm

I can’t even address the questions because I’m turning green with envy. You went to the factory?!? I went to the Utz factory and it was seriously in my top ten life favorites, and I don’t even like utz, I LOVE jelly bellys!

Erica April 21, 2010 at 10:08 pm

hello! Great day of eats. Everyone seems to have been in an egg mood today. I will need to get on that train tomorrow. Loving the protein filled snack suggestions and agree- pineapple (fresh) is ah- mazing. I sort of eat 6 mini meals, so I don’t really consider any of them “snacks”..but many contain snackish foods. Favorite snack is apple and nut butter or veggies and hummus. Just picked up some jalapeno cilantro hummus from WFs- so so good

Michelle April 21, 2010 at 10:33 pm

I am so surprised you want fashion help … You always look soooo fab lady! Hmmm, you always rock scarves so maybe one with green in it paired with a v-neck solid top? I LOVE this site and just ordered this scarf last week and got it in under 24 hours:
http://www.bleudame.com/product_info.php?cPath=116&products_id=13965&osCsid=e00666735e99a640d88b2ce9371ffda8

I took that test before (it’s in Jillian Michaels Making the Cut book) and am a balanced oxidizer as well although 30% protein would be toooo low for me – just know it.

Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) April 21, 2010 at 11:08 pm

Oh that little quiz I posted has been popular…you and a couple other ppl have posted it. Glad it helped and i dont consider myself anything other than a novice about it all, but I am a Slow and everything it says..is true for me. And as with anything, to each her own and it may not work for everyone but for me, it’s pretty spot on.

And the mini Cuisinart…I am so glad you got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep me posted how that little badboy works for you! If it’s got enough powerrrrr!
xo

Kerry April 22, 2010 at 12:29 am

I did the test and i got the same results as you; a balanced oxidizer. I do still struggle with getting a good amount of healthy fats in, maybe that’s why i’m prone to overeating, because i’m not satisfied with what i’ve eaten!? I will taking ideas from your meals from now on! Thanks for sharing that! :)

balancejoyanddelicias April 22, 2010 at 3:22 am

happy belated bloganniversary!!! :D love your new layout! :)
I need to do the test, sounds really interesting!
favorite snack = fruit/toast+LC/toast+AB

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is April 22, 2010 at 3:36 am

OMG that baby is adorable!! And I love having a bar in my yogurt – it is the best treat ever! I usually have about 2-3 snacks a day.

andrea April 22, 2010 at 3:54 am

I love super spicy hummus with 14 honey sesame kashi crackers, or kashi crackers with one wedge of laughing cow cheese, weight watchers snack bar. for desert i have chocolate pudding, or four pieces of Lindt touvh sea salt dark chocolate or a kashi cookie.

I love the jelly belly popcorn flavor or coconut flavor

how do you find out what food day celebration it is?

Katie April 22, 2010 at 3:55 am

Thanks for this post, random or not, it was amazing and filled with so much useful info! I always look forward to reading your posts because they are so full of great info. :)

Great snack ideas. I will def. have to incorporate some of those into my days.
And, I am glad that you cleared up for longer running sessions. I was wondering why all of the sudden you started running/doing cardio longer. Good to know that for BFL you can still get results with just 20-30 min. :)

Okay, every one of your meals I think I am going to mimic. They all are wonderful! I haven’t put egg whites in oats yet, but I am working on it. Maybe tomorrow morning? :) And, I love salads with cottage cheese and egg whites! So much protein and so yummy!

Gotta go check out those Liz bars – they sound interesting.

Ta ta for now. Have a nice Thursday…doesn’t it feel like Friday? Ugh, I wish it was!

Lauren April 22, 2010 at 4:04 am

I always feel that my treadmill pace is so off. When I run outside, I always feel like I am going so much slower but my HR is always higher. I know the reasons for this, but I just can’t get over it because I usually average 7.0 on the machine.

I have to have a snack before bed. Really, I have to!!!! My day just isn’t complete without one. Lately, I’ve been loving cereal but I usually have some kind of fruit. Or Ice Creme! :)

Have a great day hun.

Lindsay April 22, 2010 at 4:17 am

I am a balanced oxidizer too. Love that quiz, it really works! Glad you liked th treamdill conversions, they really help me when I do HIIT work as well. Pretty soon youre gonna be flying with speed!
Favorite snack, I am weird, I like figs wrapped in turkey. Salty and sweet.
You are a fashionista, whatever you where will look great! Maybe something purple, brown, or black would go with his sage green. ??

Jenna April 22, 2010 at 5:08 am

mmm pineapples look like it just made the meal!

Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble) April 22, 2010 at 5:10 am

What an interesting test! I do need to take that, I’d be interested in my results!!

Wear a purple shirt! Purple usually goes with green, AND it’s your fave color :)

My favorite snack is yogurt (preferably greek!) with granola. Mmmm… Or a big juicy piece of fruit!

Jelly belly faves: Peach, Pear, Buttered Popcorn. Yum!

Karissa @ CardioFoodie April 22, 2010 at 5:11 am

Favorite snack: any snack! I snack all day. Bad habit I am trying to break. As for jelly beans…anything fruity flavored, usually the reds/pinks.

I love your morning oats cup/bowl/saucer combo. Where did you get it?

Heather (Where's the Beach) April 22, 2010 at 5:41 am

Hi there! Thanks for all the info today. I am definitely checking out the treadmill conversions. I had never heard of a difference to be honest. I always run on at least 2% b/c it feels better for me and doesn’t aggravate my PF. Love the snack ideas too. I’m always in the market for snack ideas ;-) Right now I am digging a whole-grain caramel rice cake with almond butter. I found a brand (Mother’s) that isn’t sugared up and still super tasty.

Rebecca April 22, 2010 at 6:31 am

Anakin is adorable! :) How could I not vote for him?

lisaou11 April 22, 2010 at 7:01 am

They actually have a questionairre like that in the Making the Cut book and it turns out I’m a balanced oxidizer too! And it makes sense…eating like that makes me feel best.

I usually eat around 5-6 times a day…except for some days, I eat a morning snack too. Can’t help myself :)

Elina April 22, 2010 at 7:12 am

Man, so much good info in one post – even if it’s random ;)
1) I forgot about oat bran too. I have some… must make it soon. I love blending it too – makes it extra fluffy and creamy :D
2) I also always vary the incline… usually after 0.2 miles but I’ll give the 1 minute thing a try because I’m sure I’ll be able to do a higher incline or a faster pace. You are a beast on that thing. Awesome!
3) Thanks for clarifying why you add more cardio. I was wondering about that too since I’m a relatively new reader!
Happy Thursday!!

freckledfoodie April 22, 2010 at 7:29 am

random is greaaaat.
as much as i used to hate the dreadmill, i miss it since i’m not supposed to use it due to my hip/back issues.
the elliptical is so bouncy, even WITH incline.
loving all the snacky ideas, j!
i’m jealous of the allie bars! is she selling them yet?! i must try one.
that pineapple looks so juicccccccy! i’m wishing i had picked some up at the store yesterday instead of my (honey)dew.

ps- thank you so much for the x. gum! i haven’t gotten to try it yet, but will be soon!!!

happy earth day! <3

Kelly April 22, 2010 at 7:32 am

I hate jelly beans!!! My husband loves them…seriously he came home from COSTCO last week with a ginormous tub of Jelly Belly’s…haha!

Allie April 22, 2010 at 7:50 am

Love the new layout! Sorry my boyfriend failed at redoing it for you…he just has no spare time with all those video games he plays : P I’m surprised you don’t already have your outfit picked out for engagement photos, um hello you do not suck at fashion! I would say maybe wear skinny jeans with flats & a scarf with maybe a purple shirt? I’m sure you’ll look hot no matter what you wear anyway ; )

To answer your questions 1. I don’t usually snack much but if I do it’s pretty much always either cottage cheese or string cheese. 2. Not a big fan of jelly beans or candy in general but I’d have to agree the peach jelly bellies are delish!

I love you dot com!

holly (the healthy everythingtarian) April 22, 2010 at 7:52 am

call me cray cray, but i hate jelly beans. yes, hate.

however, i do love the randomness of the post, as that has been how things are for me lately too. and i took that test, but it seems off. sometimes i never know about online quiz thangs.

engagement photos!!!!!!!!!!! something to show off those toned arms of yours – for real.

love you janetha bean!

chat soon :)

fave snack? anything with nut butter. usually a couple snacks a day :)

ellie April 22, 2010 at 8:18 am

oh…that pineapple looks delish. I haven’t seen it here this year yet. SOON! Love the list of protein snacks… would help you with fashion but I am as clueless as they come.

1. what is your very favorite snack? and how many snacks do you eat daily? I eat one snack a day- either a protein bar or greek yogurt mixed with a protein muffin or cereal (around 150-200 cals, 15-20g protein)

2. favorite color/flavor jelly bean? Butter Popcorn Jelly Bellies!

Kelly April 22, 2010 at 8:23 am

Blush, blush!! Thanks for the kind words, love you! I have to say it’s weird to be scrolling in reader and see yourself :)

Engagement photos – just don’t wear matching/coordinated outfits (I know you wouldn’t anyway) – maybe you can do two looks, a cute retro dress and then some in jeans.

1 – My fav snack is a mashed sweet potato seasoned up w/cayenne & cinnamon with a tbsp of PB melted over the top… drool. I am a big snacker, I think I’m up to 5 a day!

2 – Not a big jelly bean fan, can’t remember the last time I had them!

That does look like a killer cardio workout. Wow! I always love the different ideas you come up with to challenge yourself. Your workouts are the bulk of what I have saved in a folder on my computer for interval ideas when I get more back in the game. Love it!

hey janetha! i am new to reading your blog and LOVE it. i have a question – you refer to things like “flashback friday” or “guest post thursday” and i’m just wondering what that means. i hope that doesn’t seem too dumb, but i’d like to follow some of these fun rules as well but don’t even know where to begin…

I took that test too and am also a balanced oxidizer. I love learning stuff like that about myself. Oh and please read my post from today, it kind of goes along with learning more about your body.

I had an omelet turn brown on me the other day, I think because I sauteed the veggies in the pan first then added the eggs.

I love corn thins with almond butter and jam for snacks- or yogurt and blueberries with some agave on top.. depends on the time of day!

I’d check ikea for everything- and then I’d look at overstock.com for anything to do with your house!

Question: Do you have a preset workout that you use (i.e. a preset interval) or do you constantly push buttons on the treadmill?

1. My favorite snack…hmmmm…I gues it depends on if I am being healthy or not. If not I LOVE chocolate and if I am I love a good quality protein bar, I guess it’s because it feels like eating a candy bar or something. Who knows!

2. I am not a jelly bean person, but my favorite jelly bean flavor would probably be jelly belly’s sour apple…yummy! I also love the sport beans when I did my half marathon. They tasted good and gave me the extra energy I needed.

i love starburst jelly beans! all flavors!
my favorite current snack is an iced soy latte with dried fruit or a banana smothered in almond butter… i change with my snack obsessions a lot.

Wow – loved this random post!! That darling green cup and saucer—so, so cute!!

Note to those working on BFL it is very true that you can get by on only 20 min of cadior 3 times a week and it still works wonders, I’m living proof!

Eating clean is what really matters in all of these different approaches to being more healthy and/or weight loss – and with ALL of your wonderful eating suggestions there are NO excuses!!

I want to print every single post and put it in my exercise binder – hey I might just do that and make a recipe binder too!

I am a snackaholic, seems like that’s all I eat throughout the day and then a good meal for dinner – I LOVE the black licorice ones but I would rather eat my weight in CHOCOLATE anyday and skip the jelly beans!

Love you more than you know xoxoxo!!!

Janetha, If you go to HomeDepot.com they have some faucets on sale. You need to use the code TWITTER70. The models are 53P50SS and 049-MOBC. You’ll get 70% off and you’ll get free shipping. I don’t know how long it lasts, probably until they’re gone. Good luck!!

I took that metabolism test and I’m a fast oxidizer! Go figure, my body loves meat, fat, and a smidgen of carbs. Took me 24 years to figure that out, and a quiz told me in 6 minutes :P

I love that treadmill workout!! The 20 minute version is my favourite warm-up. I’ve only just started embracing the incline, and it’s not as big and scary as I thought!! I still can’t walk at a high incline though. I dunno, I just have this thing where I hate to move slowly (ie walk) and sweat at the same time. Also why the thought of bikram turns me off…

Damn you and your pineapple.

1. I have a morning, afternoon and evening snack between meals. Usually around 200 calories too. My favourite is a homemade protein bar.

2. Orange all the way. But I’ll take pink in a pinch ;)

Hope you’re having a fab Thursday!! xoxo

I love oat bran. It has such a luscious texture. Mmm..

That quiz was interesting. I too was a balanced oxidizer. Cool!

1. I eat 2 to 4 (or 5 or 6) snacks a day. Snacks are awesome. I usually eat 1-2 pieces of fruit throughout the afternoon as well as some Greek yogurt with peanut butter. But it varies depending on my grocery situation.
2. Not a fan of jelly beans. Especially not the black ones.

I love your randomness!

First off, I love the new header, Janetha B! Very appealing to the eyeballs:)
Secondly, the eggwhite scramble seriously sounds delicious.
I’m a snacky McSnackerson. I have a very light (apple?) morning snack, and usually two afternoon snacks. But I currently have to eat lunch around 11 and dinner sometimes not until after 8…like today!

I’m a balanced oxidizer too!

My favorite snack???? Not including chips and salsa? ;-) Probably oatmeal with walnuts and cinnamon and a hardboiled egg.
