I try to buy the fruit and veggies that do not have a thick skin on them organic.
My sister is eight yrs out from a bone marrow transplant due to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and I have DVT so my whole family is just a bit more cautious about what is put into our systems.
i always try to buy organic, free range, grass fed meat. i think it is important for the welfare of the animals, and i believe they live better, happier lives than those that live in small confined spaces, and are forced to eat corn
i honestly think that organic milk tastes different and BETTER than ordinary conventional milk. i wish i could say that all my purchases are organic because i believe that it’s better for the planet and one’s health, but unfortunately organic products are usually beyond my budget.
organic is best!
I always buy organic fruits and veggies because the stuff they put on those is GROSS.
like km, I wish I could afford organic for everything…
Ahhh what a fantastic giveaway!! I only buy organic yogurt and milk because when I was 15, I grew 2 golf=ball sized lumps in my breast that needed to be surgically removed. From then on, my doctor advised me to only drink organic milk and dairy becaues obv. there isn’t any unnatural hormones. That was a traumatic experience so I’m definitely eager to stay on foods that won’t give me more lumps!!
I try to buy organic fruits like apples etc…organic eggs, and as organic of meat as I can!
I try to buy at least half of my produce from the organic section and when my husband is a doctor instead of a med. student I plan on only buying organic dairy!
I try to buy organic apples and other produce, but I’d love to do more once my budget is just a bit bigger :-)
I buy organic milk because I am pregnant and don’t want my baby getting all of those nasty hormones and other stuff!
I try to always buy organic when it comes to the dirty dozen.
I love their organic milk. I can’t wait to try their chocolate. I am sure it is superb.
I try to buy anything organic that I can afford! This usually varies with what is on sale from week to week. Obviously, organic is better for you, since it doesn’t contain a high concentration of pesticides. When I don’t buy organic, it’s because of price.
I tried to buy all organic dairy. I love horizon milk!
I would love to try the Horizon Organic Chocolate milk- yum!!
The one thing that I do buy organically is my yogurt! I do try to buy as much organic as possible since I know it is healthier :)
I am going to link to your giveaway on my blog!
I love Atlanta- I live about 3 hours south! :D
Sorry, the Atlanta part- I was responding to the guest post..oops.. lol
Love organic milk!!
About 2/3 or more of our fruits and veggies are organic. Most of our dairy is organic as well. I buy organic grains from the bulk bins at our local health food store…saves $$$. If I buy ground beef I buy organic but unfortunately we are not at a place where we can afford to buy all organic meat.
i only buy organic dairy. this would be awesome!
Organic dairy is great because I don’t need any extra hormones!
I prefer to buy local produce that isn’t treated with chemicals. I guess that’s organic. However, I don’t necessarily trust everything that’s labeled organic in the supermarket since I keep hearing how there aren’t any official standards. I’m a big local farmer’s market shopper, and I even love going places where you can pick your own fruits/veggies. Places like those just seem more honest about what they use on their produce.
I buy organic eggs and milk, veggies and meat when I can. Organic tastes better and lasts longer!
I try to buy organic veggies/fruit when I eat the skin on them. But one thing that I ALWAYS buy is baby carrots! Its the one thing that I find tastes better.
I try to buy organic as much as I can for things that matter to me: some fruits and veggies that are the worst ones if NOT organic, dairy when I can, and the best local/organic meat.
I can’t always buy organic because it IS much more expensive here and we have a pretty tight budget when it comes to food. But I think it’s really important to support my local food options, as well as the companies that are really trying to make a difference in the way they produce food.
This is my post-legs recovery drink! lol We buy organic dairy and eggs because of animal ethics and the non-use of hormones … We also buy organic fruits and veg (mostly from the dirty dozen list) and some meat. I am getting better about the meat …
I buy organic eggs. They have more Omega 3’s and I think they taste better too.
I buy organic lettuce if I can – because it’s so hard to clean regular lettuce and I worry I’m not getting the pesticides out of it!
whoa I for sure need to try this one! I will buy some this very day!! xoxo
I buy organic milk. I don’t like to drink hormones.
I buy organic dairy and chicken. The whole hormone thang grosses me out! ;)
I buy organic yogurt…I think it smells and taste better!
We’ve started buying organic canned tomatoes. It is such a win-win: they are store brand and are actually the same PRICE as the conventionally grown ones, and they taste soooooo much better. And since we use them all the time, they seemed like a good way to start phasing in organic, because they make a big part of our diet. I hope that soon organic will be the same price as conventional for most things, because I think it is cost that deters people from buying organic for everything.
Our family always tries to get organic dairy products and meat– and organic produce from Whole Foods, its so good!! :)
I’ve been buying Horizon fat free milk for some time now. I buy most vegetables and fruits organic. I’ve also bought some organic meats. I wish I could buy everything organic, but it is a lot more pricey than non organic items. The health benefits are worth the cost to me. I’ve heard about the chocolate milk and would love to try it. Thanks!

I try to buy organic as much as I can . . . unfortunately I don’t have an unlimited budget! Soooo, I mainly stick to the dirty dozen (apples, strawberries, etc. – things with a thin skin). While I wish I could do more, I just try to do the best I can! Most of my baking supplies are organic as well.
I love horizon, but i try to get my milk local when possible. I buy some organic produce and stoneyfield organic yogurts, and lots of local stuff.. I LOVE chocolate milk!
I buy organic fruits and veggies when I can, although sometimes it’s hard since they tend to be more expensive. I’m also a fan of trying new organic products like pastas, crackers, bread and soup!
I don’t normally seek out organic food on purpose, but I do find that a lot of the healthy foods I like have been leaning towards the organic side. I would the organic thing that I buy and eat the most is greek yogurt. YUM.
I buy organic prepared items, I don’t use a lot of convenience foods, but the few I keep on hand for an easy dinner are organic so they are not full of extra chemicals and yuck.
I try to buy organic as much as I can, but that isn’t all of the time. Our dairy is almost always organic because I think that is important. With produce, I try to stick to the “dirty dozen” list. It’s just so expensive to be 100% organic, but when the difference between conventional and organic is small, it’s not so bad.
hope you’re getting a great tan & showing off that diamond! ;) i always get organic eggs and meat when i can afford it because i think it’s important not to ingest all the hormones and antibiotics that are pumped into the animals. it worries me to think that it will all be passed to my body! the horizon milk looks awesome! chocolate is great no matter what form :)

I try to buy organic versions of the dirty dozen http://www.thedailygreen.com/healthy-eating/eat-safe/Dirty-Dozen-Foods
I buy organic eggs always, and do my best to do the rest, when i can afford it!
