flashback friday round twenty one.

in meals,moves

holy balls! i already have fifty addresses lined up for the secret bloggie valentine gift exchange!!  i mean.. i thought it was a fun idea and all.. but DANG i am stoked that so many of you agree!  i am excited to see how it all pans out.

remember, if you would like to participate please email me your name & mailing address ASAP.  i will distribute information regarding who you should send your valentine on january 30~ this leaves plenty of time for you to get your package mailed before V day.  please also include your blog address if you have one.  BUT~ with that said~ you do not have to have a blog to participate!

i have had a few international bloggies ask about being involved with this.  i have a couple of you in canada and also some over in australia and the UK.  please let me know if you are from one of those places and want to participate~ i am sure we can line you all up together according to your country!!

***********************************************************

sweet, now that the business stuff is out of the way, shall we talk about some meals & moves?  yes, i think so.  i have a lot to show you since i didn’t blog last night!  let me open the old camera card folder and see what i’ve been eating.  i kind of don’t remember!

thursday.

IMG_5258
ah yes.. that’s right. protein oatmeal~ surprise surprise.  but this was a bit more special because i made it differently..

meal 1: cinnamon vanilla protein oatmeal

IMG_5259
i used 1/2 cup almond milk to make this with 1/2 cup of water instead of the usual 1 cup of water.  it created a super creamy consistency.  i also added a LOT of cinnamon before cooking the oats~ this made the cinnamon flavor more present.  and finally i added a touch of vanilla extract to the mix right before it was done.  this made the oats extra vanilla-y which is spectacular.. i am a vanilla lover!

IMG_5262
i ate this on my boss’ floor.  or is it boss’s?  either way.. boss man took my photo.

IMG_5260
like my new cup and saucer? ikea baby.

meal 2: the last of the turkey meatloaf :(
IMG_5265

i will have to make another batch soon! i ate this 4 out of the 5 work days this week and it didn’t get old. it was super yummy every time!  i ran out of flat outs (the horror!) so i paired the meatloaf with a whole wheat pita.

IMG_5264

meal 3: pear berry + greek yogurt

image
no no.. not that kind of pear berry.. while it is a delicious scent, i have a feeling that it would not taste as good as it smells.

IMG_5266

i actually went with 1 cup of 0% oikos and then heated a diced pear & 3 diced strawberries in the microwave with some cinnamon (all in a ziplock bag) and then poured the steamy fruit over the cold yogurt.  talk about a fab combo! NOM NOM NOM.

IMG_5268

next up was the gym!  i had a lower body workout on the agenda.  i loved the way my upper body workout panned out on tuesday so i decided to do a lower body workout using the same structure.

image

i picked 3 different exercises for the 5 muscle groups i wanted to work and then did a block of 5 exercises for a total of 3 blocks.  the only difference here is i had six muscle groups: quads, hamstrings, glutes, lower back, calves & "innies and outies" which my mom calls the inner and outer part of the thigh.  i didn’t want to work my calves for 3 sets so i split it up with 2 sets of lower back work and one set of calf work.  make sense? i sure hope so.  here is how it went down:

  • warmup on bike 5 min

block #1: stability ball & mat work

move (hams) weight sets + reps
stability ball curl body weight 3 sets of 15
move (quads) weight sets + reps
ball wall squats 20# 3 sets of 15
move (glutes) weight sets + reps
laying butt bridge w/ feet on ball 10# 3 sets of 15
move (lower back) weight sets + reps
ball hyperextension body weight 3 sets of 15
move (innies + outies) weight sets + reps
leg lifts (both ways) body weight 3 sets of 15 each leg, each way

block #2: bench and free weight work (and one machine)

move (quads) weight sets + reps
bulgarian split squats 10 lb db ea (20# total) 3 sets of 15 each leg
move (hams) weight sets + reps
single leg deadlifts 10 lb db ea (20# total) 3 sets of 15 each leg
move (glutes) weight sets + reps
donkey kickback body weight 3 sets of 15 each leg
move (innies + outies) weight sets + reps
hip abbductor/adductor machine 75# 3 sets of 15 each way
move (lower back) weight sets + reps
hyperextension on bench body weight 3 sets of 15

block #3: machines

move (calves) weight sets + reps
standing calf raises 40# 3 sets of 15
move (glutes) weight sets + reps
glute kickback machine 40# 3 sets of 15 each leg
move (quads) weight sets + reps
single leg press 80# 3 sets of 15 each leg
move (hams) weight sets + reps
laying ham machine 50# 3 sets of 15
move (innies+outies) weight sets + reps
fire hydrant kicks body weight 3 sers of 15 each leg

whew!  this took me an hour and 5 minutes including the 5 minute warmup sesh.  i was zipping through the workout but still made sure to take my time so i could practice proper form.  i sure worked up a sweat!  it was fun.

image

i was pretty hungry after the gym and didn’t want to wait to get home for my post-workout nutrition.  i dug into a (meal 4) honey yogurt peanut balance bar in my car on the way home.. and of course didn’t take a photo.. so yeah. that’s that!

after cleaning myself up a bit i only had a few minutes to spare before jetting off to the birthday shenanigans.. AND i had to post about the secret bloggie valentine.. AND i was craving some spinach in liquid form.. so i drank my dinner.

meal 5: strawberry banana & spinach protein smoothie @ 8:30 PM

IMG_5275

this had:

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • handful sliced strawberries
  • 3 cups spinach
  • whole lotta love

IMG_5278IMG_5279

this was so creamy and delicious.  i love what a frozen banana can do… for consistency.  among other things.  you guys! i kid.

it made a LOT!!

IMG_5280

i drank it all.

fun with friends!

IMG_5282
and no dranks for this girl. my friend did get slightly butt hurt when i kept refusing his offer to give me free beer.

friday.

finally friday!  the eats were typical.. i am not going to ramble about them but i may as well show them to you since i took photos.

meal 1: egg white + laughing cow + avocado + reduced sugar ketchup + la tortilla factory high fiber tortilla

IMG_5289

meal 2: humungo salad from whole foods

 IMG_5294
i had a lunch date with my boss and my bestie, who used to work for our company.  it was a reunion of sorts and it was such fun!

IMG_5297IMG_5298

plus free whole foods salad bar?  can’t beat that.

IMG_5299

i had a plethora of veggies and some chicken for protein along with the most epic of epicness when it comes to tofu.. whole foods has the BEST chile tofu EVER, don’t you all agree?

meal 3: 1 cup 0% oikos + cinnamon & pb2 + 1 nuts & cranberry luna bar

IMG_5302

thennn i went to the gym.

i had some new friends:

IMG_5274

i subscribe to real simple. i bought the women’s health. still can’t decide if i should subscribe to that one.

image

i felt like a mindless 45 minutes of cardio.. so i put the stairmill on fat burning intervals for 45 minutes and let it do the work while i read.  45 minutes, 3.25 miles and a lot of sweat.

then i did 15 minutes of random ab work.  i have read (in oxygen) that you should not count ab reps, but instead you should do the move until you are fatigued and then do 5 more reps.. so that is what i did. it was fun!

now i am typing this.. not sure what dinner will be yet?

TIME FOR….

flashback friday round twenty one!

in the shower this morning i was pondering today’s flashback topic.  yes, these are the things that go through my head as i am washing behind my ears.  i thought it would be fun to flashback to my 21st birthday since it is round #21 but i honestly have no idea where those photos are.. so that was a no-go.

then i got to thinking about marshall and his passport.  which, by the way, he FINALLY got.  yesterday he sent me a photo of the passport with the caption "let your heart not be troubled".. haha, he is sweet. i am definitely relieved.  check it:

image
his hair makes him look slightly like a terrorist, no? maybe that is why he had trouble getting it processed ;)

i remember the first time i used my passport.  i was at the ripe young age of nineteen:

IMG_5310
awe. and yes, for the record, my bday is june 1. feel free to send gifts.

for this flashback i had to bust out the big guns:

IMG_5301
yep. old school photos paired with my scanner.  i hope this flash back is worth the time it took to scan these babies in!

Jessica @ How Sweet It Is January 15, 2010 at 7:22 pm

Your shake does look amazing, girl! I really need to get a Vita. I don’t have a passport…not yet. I am a complete magazine junkie -currently get Oxygen, Cooking Light, and I always end up buying Us Weekly!

Kate January 15, 2010 at 7:28 pm

I love Women’s Health – I think it’s totally worth it! I got my subscription for $5 on http://www.magazines.com – they run specials all the time! Next time I see it on sale I’ll send you an email!

mayapamela January 15, 2010 at 7:37 pm

Love the London pics! mmm I’d love a Vita Mix.

Emily January 15, 2010 at 7:37 pm

hey ms b! I’ve been WAY out of the blog loop but I’m hoping to make a comeback with a clean slate! my new digs: http://www.naturalfit.wordpress.com

love the lower body workout. you are a machine!

1. I wish I had more time/funds for travel. I want to go to costa rica, greece, iceland, japan, india. not necessarily in that order.

2. I have subscriptions to Purely Delicious (LOVE!) and Sports Illustrated, both of which were gifts. I’ve only read Women’s Health a couple of times, but I am a fan of Men’s Health. if that is relevant.

have a great weekend!!

Nicole G January 15, 2010 at 8:04 pm

I’m so jealous of your time in London. I want to visit there SOOO bad! I believe my first trip out of the country was to Greece when I was 6 years old to visit my family on my father’s side. I’ve been lucky enough to travel when I was older as well – Ireland (2x – mother’s family) Cayman Islands (2x – vacations with family) and Australia (visiting a friend who was studying abroad). My father grew up in Greece and would just travel all over Europe as a teenager and young adult so he really values travel and is always supportive of me going anywhere. Unfortunately, I tend to be so rigid and stuck in routines that I don’t enjoy it as much as most so the opportunities tend to be lost on me. To each their own I guess.

traynharder23 January 15, 2010 at 8:13 pm

hmmm. must have been taiwan (my daddy lives there and grandparents do too.)
i really want to go back to japan or bali, OR ACTUALLY ENGLAND!
i would get oxygen and women’s health. i relaly want men’s health tho. i’m supposed to be subscribed to runner’s world. figures. =D

Graze With Me January 15, 2010 at 8:15 pm

Love that egg white/avo/ketchup wrap – yum. Oh and that pic of you eating oatmeal on your boss’ floor is priceless!!!

1) Germany, I went there the day after I turned 18.

2) Hmm, I don’t subscribe to any magazines. Actually I never buy them either. Not sure why. I love reading them in waiting rooms…I guess that’s the only time I catch up on my gossip.

april January 15, 2010 at 8:17 pm

So tomorrow is my leg day.. UGH!! I don’t know how those days are your favorite.. I hate it! But I must say your workout does sound really fun!

Christina January 15, 2010 at 8:19 pm

I LOVE this post! My first trip was to England, I ended up living in Leeds for almost a year :) I am going to Ireland this May!!! I can’t wait to go! Love your pics!

I Subscribe to Oxygen and Women’s health, both which I love :)

xoxoxoxoxo

Tay January 15, 2010 at 8:19 pm

I was thinking of doing my flashback this week of my London trip as well! I think you inspired me :-)

1. London was my first passport experience as well!

2. Subscribe to Runner’s World, Self, and recently to Shape. I really want Cooking Light & Clean Eating!

Run Sarah January 15, 2010 at 8:49 pm

Love the flashback photos – what a fun trip!
1) USA was my first passport trip!
2) I have some free medical journal subscriptions, I would do more but they are so pricey to Canada :(

Holly (The Healthy Everythingtarian) January 15, 2010 at 8:51 pm

BEST. POST. EVER.

and you know why: LONDON. no words. amazing. best time i had ever too.

london = first passport experience.

women’s health = love. i think you will thoroughly enjoy. have a fab weekend love…mwah!

Leanne January 15, 2010 at 8:53 pm

Happy Friday!! woo hoo!!

1. My first passport experience would have been Scotland, back when I was super little (1 years old) my entire family is bascially from there. Been there lots of times! If I had an excess flow of money I would love to travel the world. I would LOVE to go to Greece… or anywhere exotic that is completely random and not many people would think to go on holidays.

2. I usually buy Shape magazine and Women’s health every month. If I were to subscribe I would probably go with Shape over Women’s Health, I just like the articles better in Shape personally.

Have a Fantabulous weekend!
PS – I am going to try out your protein waffles tomorrow morning.. woot woot!

Stef @ moretolifethanlettuce January 15, 2010 at 9:36 pm

such fun travel photos! you’ll definitely have those memories for life. yum baking fruit in the microwave and adding cinnamon is prob my favorite dessert as of late. i never what to do with words that end in S…boss’/ boss’s…who knows?

Laura January 15, 2010 at 9:50 pm

okay first of all, i just sent you an email about the blog valentine thing, and about what we have in common?? wellll my birthday is may 27 of ’83. we’re basically the same person five days apart.

1: the first place i used my passport was london as well! i was 12 or 13 i think. luckily i have been able to go back, and went for two months in 2008! best time of my life. i love london.

2: i don’t subscribe to any magazines! i read entertainment weekly online sometimes, and i used to subscribe to american girl magazine as a kid :-P and highlights, the one that is in every dentist’s office around the country!

ProteinGirl January 15, 2010 at 10:18 pm

Europe was the first place I went. Going to the Czech Republic via Frankfurt or London! Also the USA! I love your pictures! Definitely worth the scanning!

glidingcalm January 15, 2010 at 10:25 pm

i dont subscribe to magazines! too cheap! :)

AND NO MORE TURKEY MEATLOAF?! WHAT THE HEY, MAN?! that aint right!!!

happy weekend Janethaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. :D

Hallie January 15, 2010 at 10:27 pm

Ooh good questions! The first time my passport was stamped was when I went to study abroad in Spain, even though I went to Mexico before then but you didn’t need a passport for Mexico back then. Anyway, the only magazine I subscribe to is SELF but I like Shape and Runners World as well. I think magazines are a huge waste of paper so I try not to buy them…I just read the ones people leave at the gym because that’s recycling, right?!?

Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) January 15, 2010 at 10:33 pm

passport first issued at age 14 to go to Europe. Alone. Not kidding. I went to Germany and Austria alone at 14. Yes, I grew up very fast.

The grammar would be: boss’ floor. Only b/c you asked, not b/c I am annoying that way!!! :)

MAgazines: Yoga Journal, W, and a slew of parenting magazines that I dont want but you get them when you’re pregnant and on mailing lists that dont end…and 4 yrs later, i am still getting free magazines about pregnancy and birth. And newborn days.

I want to get off my computer and read more. I love shape, self, oxygen, etc but then again, 3 mos in a row, and they all look the same.

Your FBF pics are awesome.

Congrats on M’s passport!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coco January 15, 2010 at 11:15 pm

mmm lovin your protein oats and egg wraps. your foods are always right up my alley.
The first passport I ever had I was 5 months old and my dad held me in the palm of his hand to take the picture. I can’t remember where I went, but I think it was so my Dad could see the Olympics in Europa.
I am def subscribing to women’s health. whenever I see a new one I always buy it so I might as well save a little and subscribe.
It’s been killer skiing here in SV. Hows it on your slopes?

Emily January 15, 2010 at 11:16 pm

1. You have to have a passport to fly out of St. Thomas but the first place I used it to travel to was Yost Van Dyke.

2. Too many! Self, Shape, Health, Cooking Light, Everyday with Racheal Ray, Glamour, Cosmo. AND my mom sends me all of the ones she gets as well!

http://eatventures.wordpress.com

Carbzilla January 15, 2010 at 11:29 pm

1. What the heck is “butt hurt?” I assume it means drunk of some sort.
2. Hooray for passport.
3. You may have one of the coolest bosses ever! (And I would say boss’ for anything he possesses)

Fabulous flashbacks as always.

I think I first used my passport to go to Mexico though maybe we didn’t need them – it would be Amsterdam them, in high school.

I get Clean Eating, Vegetarian Times, Shape (present), Good Housekeeping, and Seattle. Oh, and People b/c Chris used to get a huge discount.

Sara S January 16, 2010 at 12:29 am

Love these flashback Friday pics! I did a similar study-abroad type gig a few summers ago: lived in a flat in London and traveled all over Europe! Definitely one of the best summers ever!

First place I traveled to was Switzerland. What an amazing country! Alps, cheese and chocolate? Yes please.

I LOVE Women’s Health! I’ve been a subscriber for two years and look forward to it’s arrival each month.

Lexi January 16, 2010 at 3:31 am

Question: What is your e-mail address!? I want to participate in secret bloggie valentine but can’t find your e-mail on your page! my e-mail is alexandrea.brooks@gmail.com if you would be kind enough to e-mail me your e-mail address so I can participate ! Thank you!!

balancejoyanddelicias January 16, 2010 at 4:50 am

I like both Woman’s health magazine and Real simple, I’m subscribed to both of them! others magazine that I love: health and redbook.
first place I went with my passport? mmmm… China I think. ;)

lindsayruns January 16, 2010 at 6:10 am

Gah, I love your blog! :). Trying that workout next monday, looks perfect for me. Pear and berries is a great idea, and I think your scanning time was supremely worth it, I loved seeing your travels. Thanks for sharing!

Emily (The Experimentarian) January 16, 2010 at 6:59 am

I would love to go to London! It’s definitely on my to-do list! I love all magazines so much! I get Real Simple, too and also Womens’ Health. I really like it becuase it is not so focused on weight loss or dieting, but rather new exercises and overall health. I think the biggest difference is that Oxygen probably focuses a lot more on wight lifting and resistance training as primary forms of exercise, and high-protein/fat-cut type meal plans. Womens’ Heath tends to operate with the assumption that their readers are athletes( running, snowboarding, cycling, sports), so there is a lot of cross training info as well as more broad spectrum health-news information. Hope that helps! If you want, you can look through some of my old ones (i am an archivist!!) to help you decide if you want it. xoxo

ellie January 16, 2010 at 7:28 am

Yay for free WF! WOO! I heart London. I was living there when you were there…and also at school near Paddington for a while. Yay :D

1. if you have a passport~ where is the FIRST place you went when you used it? and if you don’t have one.. what country would you most like to visit? I got my passport when I was 1 and we moved to the UK. I REALLLLLLLLLLY want to go to Australia one day. Travelling all over the US is also on my list- I’ve travelled around Europe a bit and been to Dubai.

2. what magazines do you subscribe to? do you think women’s health is worth a subscription I don’t subscribe to any, or buy any frequently. I love Fitness, Shape, Woman’s Fitness, Glamour and Cosmo but the British versions aren’t awesome and it’s expensive to have them shipped here every month. I stock up when I am in the US.

Susan January 16, 2010 at 7:42 am

You and Taylor with the London trips – I’m so envious! I’ll just live vicariously through you guys though ; )

Abby (Nibble, Nourish, Run) January 16, 2010 at 7:44 am

LOVE the flashback pics…! First place I ever went on a passport was London at 3 months – my parents are from there so I spent a lot of time going over there ever since I was a babe..! Oooh and I love Women’s Health but don’t subscribe…I get Self, Bon Appetit, Martha Stewart & my guilty pleasure – US Weekly!

Susan January 16, 2010 at 7:53 am

Ohhh man, that lower body workout looks killer. That would leave me incapacitated for days :P I hope turkey meatloaf lasts a long time because mine is six days old and I’m having it for lunch!

LOVED FBF this week! I’ve always wanted to do something like that. I always forget the drinking age in the States is 21, I can imagine it was a little wild being in Europe :P

1. I got my very first passport when I was 12 and it was first stamped in Frankfurt, Germany :)

2. I’ve never read Real Simple before! You got me hooked on Oxygen, so I’ll have to check it out. I don’t subscribe to any magazines, but I should. I read Runners World and Bicycling every month. I’m not the biggest fan of Womens Health – I like Mens Health better!

Heather McD (Heather Eats Almond Butter) January 16, 2010 at 8:20 am

I think the first place I went with my passport was Europe back in high-school. I then went back in college and then back after college. Oh my gosh, this post brought back so many memories. My year spent living in England was one of the best times in my life as well. Lived in Kensington, loved my school, made friends from all over the world, Kew Gardens was one of my favorites, spent Easter hiking in Wales…could go and one, but I’ll stop now. Getting sad that I haven’t been back in so long. :(

Love the photo of you with your oatmeal sitting on your boss’s floor. So cute, and it’s so cool that you are such good friends with current and former coworkers. Makes such a difference in your job if you like the people you work with!

I only subscribe to one magazine: The Week. Keeps me updated on current events and very unbiased. Lurve.

Lindsay January 16, 2010 at 9:37 am

I am a vanilla addict too :) I love the bean flecks in vanilla bean anything!!
The new Lunas are pretty good, I hope you find them- They start to taste a little protein-y after a few chews but if you don’t mind that then they’re pretty delish. And filling!!! I mean like woah, filling, I didn’t want anything else for a good 3-4 hours.
Happy Weekend Janetha B!!!!!
xo

Lara (Thinspired) January 16, 2010 at 9:44 am

Awww, love this! My favorite pic of you is the one in Leicester Square…that one is so classic! London was my first passport destination, too :)

Right now I don’t have any magazine subscriptions…but on my “wish list” are Clean Eating, Women’s Health, and Self. I think Women’s Health is really the most unique of all the women’s fitness magazines, which are often all the same! At least WH usually has some good info in it :)

Jenna January 16, 2010 at 9:49 am

Whole foods hot bar sounds yummy to me!!

Meredith January 16, 2010 at 10:01 am

You look so adorable eating your breakfast on a placemat on the floor!

Rachael January 16, 2010 at 11:44 am

I love your London pictures. It looks like a cool place to visit! When I first got my passport, the first place I visited was Spain. LOVE IT! I went back this summer and I’m already planning my next trip.

hayleycepeda January 16, 2010 at 1:07 pm

Ahhhh England…London is probably my most favorite city. My parents are both from England and most of my family still lives there. I started going as a baby to visit my grandparents so I’m probably biased in that sense, but I still think London is the bomb. I LOVE all the pictures!! You guys really got around. I have 2 passports actually (dual citizenship) so I’m not sure if my first stamp was Saudi Arabia (where I was born), the US or England! :)

LOVING your eats Ms. Janetha…you’re awesome at putting together delicious but HEALTHY meals. None of them are ever simply “chicken, brown rice, broccoli.” BO-RING…you are just the opposite. :)

Stephanie January 16, 2010 at 1:19 pm

I think magazine subscriptions are often worth it– for many of them, you can get a full year’s subscription for between $5-$10 and if you’re going to buy an issue even twice during the year, it pays for itself.

LOVE the FBF photos!

I have a passport, although it is my second one- my first one I used in Ireland first, then my new one I used to go and live in Italy… and most recently to move to Canada! It has a shiny new visa attached to it now =)

I subscribe to Cooking Light, Oxygen, Women’s Health, Fitness and Self. =)

LOVE Ikea and their rando dishware! I’ve never heard of pearberry but it sounds like it would taste and smell delish :)

Your Friday meals are basically perfection! Me likey!! You and Taylor are making me jealous with the London pictures! My future hubby is british!

1. Technically Amsterdam but it was because my flight was a connector from there to Prague.
2. I used to get Vegetarian Times but that ran out!

I always add the ‘s when a word is not plural, but who really knows haha ;) (gah, I’m such a nerd)

LOVED this flashback! So awesome of you to scan in the photos, looks like you had an awesome experience!

1. I think my first passport was for a school trip to Italy in the 10th grade. It was my first time on a big trip with friends, I loved it!

2. I’m torn about magazine subscriptions, and you can eventually find all of the Women’s Health articles online…I guess it’s your preference though. Women’s Health is a great magazine!

I think the first place I went with my passport was to Ireland on a band trip….who says band isn’t fun?!

and I too subscribe to real simple and was thinking about adding women’s health, but I think I’m gonna wait til my glamour and self subscriptions run out.

OK you could never be a witch! Really!

So cute- the photos- some of those you look about um 14, and others you look just as you are now ( that would be 15 :-) )- love them all. Yes, I’m a public animal snuggler too til derek says don’t touch that!!! Gah, like I don’t know that I shouldn’t!

Love the ikea bowl! Why are you sitting on the bosssssss’ssssss floor- couldn’t he provide a chair- holla for worker’s comp injury hahaha! :-)

Fun that you had a little reunion.

Girl, you are going to waste away if you are having 221 calorie smoothie dinners (yes, I calculated in my true rainman style- I can’t help it, it’s a disease)…but you’ll rock that bikini in Jamaica!!

Heart you.

Been tooooottttttsssss awol, but have a few minutes now to catch up on 1/55 of my reader. It’s never been this high (I know you’re rolling your eyes right now) :-D

Actually the first place in my passport as a child was when we moved from Germany to the U.S.A!!! My parents were in the military so, when their time was up we moved back to good ol’ Cali.
