jarred.

eep! it is late! 11:02 and i haven’t started blogging yet.  i was too busy reading all of your blogs tonight, so much good stuff to read in blog land these days.  i am also looking for an epic recipe to make my family for dinner sunday.. the whole shabang.. main course, side dishes.. you know. so if you have any stellar suggestions, send them my way!

so this will be a tad on the lackluster side since i am going to do a fly-by blog sesh. hope you all don’t mind! i am sure it will end up long and rambly because that is just how we do.

oh for the record that adorable little girl in my last post was not my REAL niece, but she is one of my bestie’s little girls.. she has been on the blog before. i definitely consider her my niece though! thanks for the nice words about her.. she is pretty dang adorable.

meals_thumb

i am happy to announce that my appetite was back on track this morning! first off i started thirsty thursday off right and chugged 48 oz of water on the commute to work.  *ahhhh*<—that is more of a refreshing “ahhh” sound, not like a freaked out sound. ok.

meal 1: protein oats with mighty maple @ 9:30 AM

meals 506

*insert me singing depeche mode’s “i just can’t get enough” here*

ah protein oats, you never fail me. i have been wanting to make some overnight oats but i keep forgetting. and then i have ended up at marshall’s house every night this week where there are no oats in sight. so yeah. i do have a few things on the breakfast list though! i should switch it up from these.. i am craving:

  • pumpkin oats
  • chocolate macaroon breakfast cookie
  • overnight oats with greek yogurt & peaches
  • egg & cheddar breakfast sandwich

so maybe i will venture out of my mighty maple protein oats soon.. maybe.

meal 2: baller wrap @ 12:30 PM

meals 508

*toot toot* goes my own horn. this was incredible. the layers?

meals 510

  • flat out base
  • avocado
  • sprouts
  • crimini mushrooms
  • peach salsa
  • grilled chicken
  • honey mustard
  • red pepper
  • laughing cow light
  • black pepper

meals 511

i had an internal debate while fixing this wrap.

let’s pause for a moment and talk about mustard.

i was like.. hmm, honey mustard? dijon mustard? yellow mustard? horseradish mustard? decisions, decisions! and yes, they were all choices i had on hand.  when i was growing up i hated mustard with all my heart and soul.. kind of how i hate raisins still, to this day.. anyway, i hated it. whenever i ate at a friends house and their mom put MUSTARD on something i would not touch it with a 10 foot pole. the benson family grew up with mayo on our sandwiches (and in our guacamole, but that is a story for another day). we did not eat mustard.. well at least i didn’t.. i guess my sisters can comment and speak their position on it.

anyway, this hatred for mustard lasted all the way until high school.  in high school i started getting the tasty turkey bagel sandwich at eintstein’s and it had honey mustard.  i dug it. it was great. but i still hated yellow mustard all through high school. dijon was barely tolerable.

no idea when it was but i guess maybe one day i woke up and my taste buds had turned over a new, mustard-loving leaf! because i love it now. all types, all brands, all colors.  i don’t know if i would take my love affair with mustard as far as marshall does, he will eat mustard straight from the packets and dips his fries in it, but it is safe to say i love mustard so much now.   i sort of am sad that i hated it for 20+ years!  kind of like i got ripped off from all that mustard enjoyment, ya know??

anyway, i went with the honey mustard today. the end.

meals 513

i also ate some green beans with my wrap

meals 507

and today was a busy day at the office.. i was glad my appetite was back on track and i wasn’t full all day! when snack time came i welcomed it with open arms an open mouth!

meal 3: peanut butter “mousse” + TJ’s 9 grain cereal @ 4:00 PM

meals 515

have you guys ever mixed greek yogurt with PB2? well it is fabulous and it results in this decadent peanut butter mousse. i haven’t had it in awhile and i forgot how sinful it tastes! i topped it with 2/3 cup of TJ’s honey almond flax 9 grain and it worked out to be a perfectly balanced BFL meal! 35g protein, 35g carbs, 6g fat, 5g fiber, 321 calories.. a protein/carb/fat ratio of 41/41/18! yayer.

meals 519 meals 520

oh P.S. this is a direct result of being turbo busy and always having to eat at my desk!:

meals 522

ummmm.. all but one of those dishes are from today alone! haha.

well after work i had automobile selling business to attend to!

two and a half hours later my 4runner was officially sold and i no longer have 2 car payments, 2 insurance payments, 2 headaches.. yadda yadda. go me!

it was time for a run after all that paperwork!

moves_thumb

it was a lovely evening so i ran outside! i took a cue from susan and tried a running/walking method.  i ran 4 minutes and walked 1.. she runs 9 minutes but i am not quite that hardcore ;)

i ended up running 3.1 miles in 28 minutes. stats were: max HR 177 average HR 154 calories burned 245

it was a refreshing change to run outdoors and see the beautiful sunset! but running outside is hard work!

meals_thumb

after my run it was straight to the grocery store to snag some items for dinner, walking back to my car i dug right into this organic honeycrisp apple.. my fave!

meals 526

and then i went to marshall’s to make dinner.

meal 4: chicken masala with a slew of veggies & a slice of WW toast @ 9:30 PM

meals 541

hmmm.. crappy lighting. good food!

meals 539

i just went the easy route and used trader joe’s masala simmer sauce ;) it is definitely one of my favorite jarred sauces! i added chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, onion, mushrooms & red pepper and let it simmer for a long time, making dinner super late!

meals 536

it was worth the wait. i munched on some veggies & hummus while i cooked. this meza hummus was on sale for 3 dollar. holler.

meals 528

it was no sabra but it was still really good!

meals 529 meals 530

whew. and now i am typing.. and dozing off.. with my loves..

9-24-09 003

yeah, only 4 meals in today. but if i get a hankering for something sweet (which i might…) then i will peel myself off the bed and try one of these glorious numbers!:

meals 523

glory! chobani rocks my face off! they sent me a plethora of greek yogurt varieties to try out. thanks chobani! i am like a kid in a candy store over here, do you know which flavor i will be trying first? it is pretty obvious.. if you know me..take a guess!

Qs

1. what is your favorite type/flavor of mustard? have you always been a mustard lover or was it an acquired taste for you? my answer is up there in the time out talk.

2.  what are some jarred sauces do you like to use when you are short on time/lazy/tired/hungry? from scratch is what i prefer.. but trader joe’s has some fab jarred sauces! my favorites are the masala that i used tonight and the picatta sauce. really good jarred sauces are few and far between in my opinion!

YAY for flashback friday tomorrow! and don’t forget to give me some suggestions for sunday dinner :)

thelongweigh September 25, 2009 at 12:07 am

Go us for blogging in the 11 o’clock hour! Where do you get PB2? Have you found it anywhere around here or do you order it online? I want to try it but have been far too lazy to order it online.

As for the Q’s..

The only mustard I like is just the plain ol’ regular kind. But I love it. That makes me want a Hot Dog on a Stick to dip in some. Is that wrong?

As for jarred sauces, I usually fall back on Classico. They are pretty good, not glorious, but they do the trick.

Megan September 25, 2009 at 12:26 am

I love honey mustard but I also lovee regular mustard! Just none of that spicy stuff… I can’t do spicy.. at all.

And I love Ragu pasta sauce! So good..

And I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR CHOBANI PACKAGE!!!! The pineapple flavor is pretty much the best thing ever made, but I mean I think I would pass out from excitement if I got a package like that! Superrrr jealous girl! Enjoy them :)

Deb (SmoothieGirlEatsToo) September 25, 2009 at 12:37 am

Have you tried cranberry mustard? Pretty interesting. I do love any sweet mustard though-sweet & spicy.

I don’t usually do jarred sauces. I’d rather just mush a bunch of things together to get a sauce. But from my memory TJs has amazing tasting sauces (if very caloric)

Your pups are sooooo sweet! <3

Jessica (jesslikesithot) September 25, 2009 at 1:17 am

janetha b! janetha b! hey girl heyy :)

ahh yes, mustard is amazing. I was on a spicy, dijon kick all summer but towards the end I tried some honey mustard in a sub sandwich and instantly fell in looooove. therefore, my next mustard purchase HAS got to be some honey mustard lovin’ !

ps- that wrap looks fab. The protein oats sound amazing too ( I still need to try/find mighty maple!!!!), and ohhh and that last pic is so adorable! you, the pups & marshall’s knee. classic!

q & aaaa time, no!?
1. see above ;)
2. i love love lovee tj’s sauces!! the canned, fire-roasted tomatoes are amazing when mixed with other fresh veggies, spinach and spices! mama mia i’m gettin’ hungry just thinking about it!!!

xoooo, sorry this comment was so spastic! i need to sleeeep. have an amazing friday girl!

Averie (LoveVeggiesAndYoga) September 25, 2009 at 1:22 am

Girl the peach salsa strip running down the wrap looks so good.

Mustard. I love it. However, most mustard has a high sodium content so I dont indulge too much b/c I cant handle salt. I blow up, swell, and it makes me miserable. But yeah, I love sweet hot mustard. Or yellow, or honey. Dijon is meh but the rest always make me so happy. At one point in my early 20s, I think I lived on triscuits with PB or with hot mustard and vodka. Balanced diet fo sure.

:)

mayapamela September 25, 2009 at 1:46 am

Mustard is ah mazingggg. I especially like honey mustard. My mom makes a pretty kick ass homemade honey mustard dressing. I especially love super grainy mustard with texture to it…and yes like Marshall I could eat mustard with a spoon. I always like the knife after I spread mustard around…is that weird?

As for your family dinner something with squash to celebrate the beginning of fall? Like mashed squash something…idk where to take that idea for a main course but it’s a good side dish idea. Butternut squash with maple syrup and cinnamon mashed=wonderful.

Glad the Chobani gods smiled on you!

Tina September 25, 2009 at 2:47 am

I need to get some hummus in my house!
Really think it’s cool that you’ve been running, I want to try it, but I always keep finding excuses not to :P

That masala looks good (I love indian food!)

I’ve always liked mustard! First on my hotdogs and now on my carrots. I like dijon mustard, anything spicy really.

I’m all for homemade, but when I’m not in the mood, it’s usually anything we have laying in the cupboard. Those who are lazy, can’t be picky :P

xxx

P.S. That funny thing was a weirdly shaped cucumber :P

Lara (Thinspired) September 25, 2009 at 3:58 am

That wrap is BOMB!
Ok, maybe my feelings with mustard will change one day like yours did. As it stands now, I hate mustard (all types) and always, always have. I wish I liked it because it’s a great low-call condiment, but I just detest it!

Lauren September 25, 2009 at 4:58 am

Pumpkin Oats have once again made their way into my life again too! I have been so thrilled to make a batch tomorrow morning.

Oh my gosh, I had the same Mustard Debate at dinner last night. I spent about 5 min trying to decide what kind I wanted on my sweet potato….honey, regular, dijon…they are all so good. I went with the honey too! Good choice friend, good choice! :)

Hope you have a great weekend lady!

balancejoyanddelicias September 25, 2009 at 5:28 am

wooo!!! 11 pm and still blogging? you’re so dedicate! :)
I like honey mustard but not crazy about it. Just a touch in sandwich or wrap. other than that I don’t know how to use it.
such a loading of chobani! I’m jealous. my guess? peach?
congrats on selling the car! :)
I don’t have any sauce at home, when i’m in hurry I do a stir-fry with soy sauce, sesame oil and brown sugar ,it’s easy and super yummy~

Coco September 25, 2009 at 5:30 am

PB2 mousse is the best!!!! I love it so much and that TJ cereal is so similar to Kashi Crunch. yumyumyumyum!

Abby September 25, 2009 at 6:04 am

Minus the chicken for me, and that wrap looks like something I would sell my left kidney for. Yum! As for the mustard debate, I’m all about the spicy mustard when I use it (I’m a bit anti-condiment, but whatever…)

Holy fun package (that’s what she said…)! Yogurt up the wazoo! And I would like to try PB2, but I’m scared to order it online, spend the money and then find out I don’t like it…

April September 25, 2009 at 6:10 am

I like spicy mustard, regular mustard, and my fave is pecan maple mustard I found at Target.

No canned sauces for me!

That wrap looks gourmet. I HAD to try pumpkin oats myself. This morning I sprinkled a bit of cocoa powder on them too….heaven!

April September 25, 2009 at 8:44 am

No protein powder, I had 3 egg whites on the side.

Chai September 25, 2009 at 6:30 am

My grocery store carries all the Chobanis…BUT THE PINEAPPLE ! And pineapple is my favoritist thing! So much cruelty.

As for mustard.. its gotta be good ol’ yellow mustard! But on a kielbasa or something, I use creole mustard.

homegirlcaneat September 25, 2009 at 6:43 am

Let me just throw it out there that the whole time I thought this post was called “jared”. Like as in Jared from Subway. Who am I? Oh ya, just that college student! hahahaha :D

1) I loooove yellow mustard every since I was a wee one. I would put it all ova my deli sandys. I like dijon but I MUCH prefer yellow.

2) TJ’s yellow curry sauce is da bomb! Every sauce of theirs I pretty much trust is the bombdiggity because everything at that store is AmAzE!

3) LovEs ShaWty!!

Laura September 25, 2009 at 6:43 am

The PB2 + greek yogurt= peanut butter mousse sounds amazing! I think I’ll have to order some PB2 for myself.

I do love mustard, but didn’t always. Must be a kid thing- maybe your taste buds have to age in order to appreciate mustard!

TJs sauces are the only ones that almost seem homemade. Love the masala sauce, and also the thai green curry sauce is great.

Good luck with your mondo dinner on Sunday :)

brandi September 25, 2009 at 6:56 am

yay for chobani!

I love mustard, but I think I always have. So good!

I love that baller wrap – it sounds awesome

Therese September 25, 2009 at 7:23 am

I’m a little jealous of your brand new stack of chobani (even though I just finished mine).

That wrap looks straight up restaurant worthy…yum!

I am the exact same as you when it comes to mustard. I used to HATE HATE HATE it as a kid. I couldn’t even smell the stuff. Then one day (I think in college) I just started eating it and now mustard and I are madly in love. I think I like honey mustard the best…

I don’t know how your family feels about meatloaf, but I have an awesome recipe, which I’m actually making tonight. You could make some homemade mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus etc. Healthy comfort food!

Emily (Healthy Fit Mama) September 25, 2009 at 7:31 am

1) I’ve always loved mustard. When I was a kid, I used to dip my french fries in mustard instead of ketchup! I think I like honey mustard the best, but I do love plain yellow mustard too!

2) My favorite jarred sauce is Classico Cabernet Marinara. You can really taste the red wine. Love it!

eatolive September 25, 2009 at 7:41 am

i also haaated all forms of mustard. and i mainly still do, other than my love for honey mustard. i still hate dijon and yellow – the smell makes me gag!

im not a huge condiments girl in general though ( hate mayo too ) but i love ketchup…my boyfriend hates my pickiness.

that chobani supply looks ahhhmazing!

april September 25, 2009 at 7:46 am

You should try overnight protein oats!

And that wrap looks pretty darn professional I must say!

My favorite mustard is the spicy wasabi kind. Or chipotle!

Lindsay September 25, 2009 at 8:00 am

That wrap is so pretty! So many different colors going on!

I’ve never really liked mustard. The only exception is honey mustard, sometimes. Most of the time I skip it!

The only jarred sauces I really use are tomato sauces. I haven’t found many others that I really like! I wish we had a Trader Joes here!

Naomi September 25, 2009 at 8:05 am

finally found your blog! and its awesome!! :) the chobani’s look so pretty all stacked up on eachother! I have yet to try the pinapple!! i have heard rave reviews about it! :)

that flat out wrap looks delish as well. My FAV mustard would have to be the grainy, dijon mustard with the big seeds in it. I love how it has so much flavor!

LOVE me some protein oats

Steph September 25, 2009 at 8:12 am

You can toot your horn all you want, that wrap looks awesome!

I’ve never tried pb2, but I think I just might have to now.

I love all kinds of mustard, always have, but my favorite is any kind of spicy/grainy mustard. YUM! One of my favorite recipes is to mix equal parts of grainy mustard with dijon mustard and slather on top of a salmon fillet. Bake at 425 for 20-25 minutes and you will be in heaven!

I used to always make a dipping sauce for when we have ahi tuna steaks, but now I just use Trader Joe’s soyaki sauce. It’s much easier and it’s super tasty!

Susan September 25, 2009 at 8:29 am

Awww, I am once again fawning over the cuteness of your puppies. That wrap is a work of art. You need to get that printed and framed!

1. I used to hate mustard too! My family is the opposite though – mustard and relish on everrrything. I was always the odd one out. I’m in the process of warming up to it now though. I wilfully put honey and yellow mustard on things, but I still can’t do dijon.

2. I typically don’t ever use jarred sauces because the sodium scares me! I’ll often use soups as a “base” though. I also really like Eden Organic pizza/pasta sauce. It’s awesome as an all-around tomato sauce and tastes great with anything.

Oh, and you are a fast runner! Sweet Moses! I can’t believe you did that in 28 minutes with the walk breaks, no wonder it’s hard! :P

Have a great Flashback Friday!

Lizzy September 25, 2009 at 8:34 am

let me tell you, i drooled over that wrap love you featured on here! um for reals, i’m comin for lunch!

I LOVEEE anything mustard! always have! :) so glad your leaf was turned, its way better on this side! hehehe

http://saladdiva.wordpress.com

Quinn September 25, 2009 at 8:39 am

Ugh, I was so not in the mayo camp, but I won’t hold it against you. I am a very select mustard gal. I can’t do dijon. Grosses me out. My mainstay is French’s yellow. I’ll put it on anything. Sandwiches, dogs, salads, you name it.

I want that wrap you made, and now.

Enjoy the Chobs. The pineapple is nothing short of uh-ma-zing.

Happy Friday!

hopefulrunner September 25, 2009 at 9:06 am

I have always loved mustard! Especially more so when I became more aware of what I was putting into my body and realized that it’s a super low calorie condiment. I put it on my sandwiches, lettuce wraps, and if I’m eating chicken or turkey by itself as a quick snack I’ll have meaty goodness in one hand and mustard in the other. Yum. I dig mayonnaise too, but only use the light version and I don’t use it that often.

I don’t use sauces that often, not because I don’t like them, but because I haven’t really experimented with them. I am thinking about making that chicken dish that you made though, it looks amazing and I might even be able to get my hubby to eat it. I do however put Trader Joe’s hot sauce on almost everything. Especially my steamed veggies and chicken. Nom, Nom, Nom!!

Angharad (Eating for England) September 25, 2009 at 9:14 am

I think you’re going to try the peach one first. Am I right? Am I right?! Do I win something?!
Lovely eats Janetha B. I like your breakfast wishlist too. The cookie sounds BOMB diggity.
Glad your appetite is back too because losing it SUCKS. I don’t really ever have that probably though :)
1) I used to be the exact same way about mustard! I think it was mainly cos my parents loved English Mustard which is hardcore really spicy in kind of a not-cool way. Once I discovered French mustard I fell in love. And I dip my fries in it too. Marshall and I can officially be friends…except I also dip my fries in milkshakes and he might not dig that…
2) I like TJs mango and ginger chutney. YUM.

Happy Friiiiiiidaaaaaaay!! xx

Allison (Eat Clean Live Green) September 25, 2009 at 9:15 am

I had the same mustard revelation a few years ago… so sad I missed out for so long!

1. what is your favorite type/flavor of mustard? have you always been a mustard lover or was it an acquired taste for you? spicy hot mustard! Definitely an aquired taste, I hated it when I was younger

2. what are some jarred sauces do you like to use when you are short on time/lazy/tired/hungry? hmm, I don’t use too many jarred sauces. Unless BBQ sauce counts. Or ketchup. I’ve never made that myself.

HealthySDLiving September 25, 2009 at 9:23 am

That wrap looks delish! I love love love mustard–any kind really but lately I’ve been using dijon. Mmmm!

glidingcalm September 25, 2009 at 9:34 am

i LOVE THE WAY YOU EAT.

everything looks amazing- esp. that wrap. yes that is baller and OUT OF CONTROL . make me one? ;)

hurray for masala and hummus too! TJ’s knows where it’s at and it’s been WAY too long since I’ve been there!!

GET SOME REST GIRL!

Sara September 25, 2009 at 9:40 am

I had some sort of mustard epiphany in college, and now I love allllll mustard. Yum!

I’m kind of too much of a food snob to use jarred sauces (except for spaghetti sauce, cuz I never have enough of my own sauce to make it through the year without having to buy it). But I love curry and am sad that I hardly ever get to have it, because from-scratch takes too long. I’ll have to rustle up some of the TJs sauce, apparently.

Enjoy your Chobani, lucky girl!

ksgoodeats September 25, 2009 at 9:45 am

You and I are going to be cooking MACHINES this weekend! For the record, your chickpea/cous cous dish is SO on my menu.

Get out of my head…or stomach I guess (?)…I always hated mustard! Well, at least I thought I hated mustard. It’s so good now!! YAY for Chobani! Strawberry Chobs was my first Greek love :)

1. I answered up there!
2. Despite my blog, I love jarred pesto! It’s good on sandwiches, pasta, etc.

Graze With Me September 25, 2009 at 10:39 am

That wrap is the best thing I have ever seen…holy crap, I can’t stop looking at it. Mmmm….

Did chobani contact you or did you ask for samples? I’m a little desperate to try those new flavors!

1) I’m a fan of mustard, honey mustard in particular. Never really disliked it….

2) I always wing it when I buy sauces, sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. I wish there were a TJ’s around here though….

Holly September 25, 2009 at 11:12 am

sometimes there is so much goodness in your posts, i don’t know what to say when i come down to comment. love it all – the Greek yog, the simma sauce, the wrappage, the mighty maple.

you are going for peach…i know it!!!

mmmm…LOVE mustard. i hate ketchup – is that weird? once in awhile i will eat a bit with sweet potato fries, but that is the ONLY time i do so.

trader joe’s curry sauces are the bomb diggity. ya, i said bomb diggity.

love youuuuu – happy friday!

Julie September 25, 2009 at 11:37 am

I’m guessing PEACH!! hahaha I even scrolled down really fast to not see anyone else’s guesses so I could guess “on my own” hahahaa

I love love love mustard! garlic aioli from TJs makes my heart complete!

mom September 25, 2009 at 11:45 am

Yumm be sure to bring some of that lovely yogurt my way!! PEACH for sure, we can arm wrestle for it (I just might win).

I prefer the honey mustard and I also LOVE the TJ jars for a quick dinner.

Love the cute photo of you and miss pj :) xoxoxo

mom September 25, 2009 at 11:48 am

Oh my total apologies to my favorite bassett – RANDALL B – didn’t want him to feel left out when he wakes up!! xoxo

Hallie September 25, 2009 at 11:49 am

I’m also somewhat new to the mustard train, and I’m totally loving it. Every time I’m at the store I want to get a new flavor but I make myself refrain since we have like 4 kinds at home :-)

I don’t really do the ready-made sauces becaue I never think the BF will like them but I think I might give a few of the TJ sauces a try because they look SO good!

katecooks September 25, 2009 at 12:15 pm

whoa! that wrap is crazy!!! how do you even wrap that thing up?!?! it boggles my mind. ehhh i will join you on that 20+ years thing only keep my tally going…i am just NOT a mustard fan! ick :)

lowandbhold September 25, 2009 at 12:27 pm

That wrap was massive! Love it! And you look so peaceful on the couch, hope you got some good zzz’s last night.

I’m guessing that you try the peach first.

1. I’m alright with mustard. Don’t seek it out but don’t avoid it. Except anything with horseradish in it. Gag.
2. I’m a jarred marinara sauce whore.

devan newman September 25, 2009 at 12:34 pm

PB mouse!? oh yum!!
your breakfast looks amazing :)
I love mustard. Whole Foods brown mustard is really good :)
My condiment of choice?? ketchup..
and salsa !

ellie September 25, 2009 at 2:11 pm

LOVE PB2 and Greek. So good…still though, why has PB yogurt not invented? Do not understand. Wrap looks delish :D

1. what is your favorite type/flavor of mustard? have you always been a mustard lover or was it an acquired taste for you? I HATED mustard growing up. Then decided it was “safe” and forced myself to eat it- was literally eating bowlfuls of lettuce swimming in mustard and vinegar…burned out big time and now can’t eat mustard. Exception being honey mustard- I LOVE that stuff. Especially Subway’s honey mustard!

2. what are some jarred sauces do you like to use when you are short on time/lazy/tired/hungry? Curry sauce usually, and pesto. Both require ingredients I never have on hand to make a really good one and/or take too much time.

Katharina September 25, 2009 at 2:16 pm

I love your posts, Janetha. You also give me ideas and I almost feel like we’re food twins with the sprout love goin’ on this week :D I also feel like you show that even when you’re gonna be eating at a desk you can make the most of it and make a bomb-ass wrap or whatever wonderful creation you come up with!

pumpkin oats! YES!!
chocolate macaroon breakfast cookie (YOU MUST EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THIS GOODNESS IS!!)
overnight oats with greek yogurt & peaches -(ummm… lol I’m going to link you on over to this picture..
http://ohonemorething.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/img_7603.jpg?w=500&h=333)

Sunday dinner suggestion.. perhaps the eggplant with dripping tomato and ricotta salsa? Side of polenta and whatever else you please? hahaha. I also have a recipe for yellow pea and coconut milk soup and you could serve it with some veggie and chicken masala like you did for your dinner or something :)

1. I like honey mustard, and dijon! In my fridge right now I got this one that has beer in it :D and it’s super grainy.

2. I like to use jarred mango chutney, OH and tamarind-date chutney (TRY IT!!!)

http://www.ohonemorething.wordpress.com

Kristin (Kristin's Nibbles) September 25, 2009 at 2:31 pm

That wrap looks fantastic!

I think you’ll try vanilla or peach first. I’ll tell you I LOVE them all! Chobani is my fave.

I also love mustard… honey mustard + whole grain dijon are the best.

For jarred sauces, I love TJ’s curry simmer sauce, Newman’s own pasta sauces and WF’s bbq sauces.

Have a great weekend!

Ooo. An “epic recipe”. I love the greedy-hungry sound of that. But, uh, I’m not calling you greedy. That would be me.

RunToFinish September 25, 2009 at 2:52 pm

never tried masala sauce i feel a little like a loser for that, must fix!!

love the wrap, great idea for the combo

I used to dislike mustard when I was little but then all things changed when I tasted spicy brown mustard (the answer to #1). I especially love the kinds with the mustard grains!! OMG amazing. I could eat mustard straight now (I know, sounds gross huh?).

Mmmm mustard. So good. I eat it plain. No literally. But I love it all. I’m not a HUGE fan of honey mustard though. I really like jack daniels mustard. yummm.
Hmmm I haven’t found a great yummy jarred sauce. I’ve seen all those ones at TJs and wanted to try them out! I’ve heard great things about the one you love.

Yay stoked for flashback Friday today!! Weeee :-)
