heyo! hope everyone survived their mondays and are having a good tuesday thus far. i just got home from the utah state fair and it was raining cats and dogs most of the time! more on that in a few.
loved hearing about your cereal-to-milk ratios, it is so hilarious to ask such a random question like that because as it turns out, everyone has a VERY specific opinion regarding her preference. it was awesome to read the answers. also you may want to know that you can use an egg slicer to cut your kiwis, a mug for a flower vase, your garlic press to smash dog pills, and knives for anything.
another monday morning, another meeting at the original pancake house. sigh.
meal 1: egg white scramble (mushrooms+peppers+onions+avocado) & fruit (bananas+peaches) & black coffee @ 8 AM

one of my bosses gets the blueberry pancakes every. single. week. he tells me that he starts thinking about them on saturday. he loves them, he lives for them. he gets them with like 3 extra sides of whipped cream, i am not exaggerating. he always asks me to take a photo of them. today, i finally did:

1. I LOVE TJ peach salsa!! I’m also a HUGE fan of santa barb’s peach and mango salsa.. I love it because it comes in a HUGE tub at costco! I’m also a huge of plain ole tomato salsa… nothing spicy though, i’m a wuss when it comes to spicy food!
2. I don’t drive that often when I’m at school but sometimes I’ll eat when I drive at home… but hey, it’s better than drinking and driving, right?
3. DOGS DOGS DOGS!!! I would love love love a dog in my apartment but we’re not allowed to have pets here :/ I’ve been a dog person ever since I can remember!

1. LOVE the smoky peach salsa. I also LOVE their tomatoless corn salsa (I think we have same tastes in salsas ;-) ). And I also love any type of thin tomato-ie cilantro salsa like Chevy’s or Chili’s

I brew coffee in the a.m. sometimes simply so it will get cold so I can have iced coffee in the p.m. and sometimes yep I put protein powder in it.
Salsa…I used to like hot traditional salsa but I am extremely sodium sensitive and swell up easily so I need to watch it with salsa so if I do eat it, just a smidge and I love TJ’s mango salsa or their peach as you do..yum!
Dont eat and drive, ever. I like to savor my food and driving and eating is just ram-n-cram, not savoring for me at all. So I don’t.

I love a good MEDIUM salsa. Spicy, but not TOO spicy.
2. do you eat while you drive? Yes – but usually just a snack
3. what is your favorite animal? ugh this is a tough one! We have cats, and I enjoy dogs but not when I’ve got kids to take care of, that’s enough work! I always think that when the kids are grown I’ll get a dog for companionship. Oh wait, I do have a husband, don’t I? OK, a dog for someone to take care of. Oh, wait…
I’m happy the tradition still lives on despite the crappy weather!!! What on earth is a zucchini dawg? :P
1. I’m allergic to pineapple, so I can’t eat a lot of fruity salsas (whyyyy do they put it in everything!?). Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I’m partial to my homemade simple salsa :) toot toot.
2. Only when I’m working and have to. It’s hard! I think bananas are the worst, they’re really hard to peel while driving!
3. Elephants, followed by owls :)
I am also in love with the TJ’s Peach salsa. I just used my last of the jar and teared up a little. :(

eating while driving? I used to do it often, but at the end, it wasn’t pleasant and nor safe, so I stopped doing it.
The fairs are always awesome! I actually just went to my first one this summer in Davis. It was fun, but I’m allergic to nearly every animal hahaha. Love all your eats, especially that fish taco. That peach salsa sounds yum yum good.

1- I fell in love with TJ’s pineapple salsa over the summer, but I normally love something tomato-ey and spicy like a Chi-Chi’s mild. Newman’s Own black bean+corn salsa is faaab too!
2-When I’m home, I definitely drive and eat. Apples, granola bars, sammies, even yogurt. Yogurt was a challenge.
3-Realistically, I love dogs. They are the sweetest, cutest little babies. But I also love elephants for some reason! I always have. I even have a gold elephant necklace I’ve had since I was a toddler.
BTW, your boss’ breakfasts killed me! The blueberry p-cakes look phenomenal. Does it drive you nuts to watch him get that every time? I’d be like, “FEED ME!” I’d totes snag bites.

2. Ever since I got my new car I’ve been a clean freak. I try not to eat in the car because of crumbs but sometimes you just have to!
3. I love animals but in terms of pets I’m a dog person. I can’t stand cats at all!
I feel like I get sort of dysfunctional when it rains. something inside me just turns off. so, I guess living in SoCal is kinda good for me.
1. I just go for whatever is the spiciest. if it boasts habanero, I’m there. not really a fan of chipotle; I don’t dig on smokiness.
2. I don’t drive, so I don’t eat and drive :) I don’t like to do anything else while I eat (aside from reading or watching tv). I always look forward to eating and like to enjoy it to the fullest, without multi-tasking! I’ve been known to skip or postpone meals in lieu of eating during a meeting, or on the run, or whatev. not necessarily a good thing, but.
3. have you asked this one before? I think I remember answering it somewhere… um, I can’t pick a favorite, but I will say that horses and squirrels most definitely do NOT top the list.

I’ve definitely added cold coffee to my shakes before. So good. All those pancakes look amazing too. I’d have a hard time staying away from them week after week …
1) I just like hot sauce, but if I had to choose I’d say that I like black bean and corn salsa.
2) That’s one thing I’ve really tried to stop doing. I’ve noticed that when I drive and eat I don’t get any enjoyment out of the food…in fact I forget I’ve eaten.
3) Cats are my favorite pet to own. Rats are fun too. And I ADORE chipmunks. Don’t know why…

1. Black bean and corn salsa def tops the list but I love mango salsa as well.
2. I eat portable foods while driving, i.e. bars, wraps sandwiches but not things that require utensiles. You and Whit really rock that skill though!
3. I think pigs are so cute and I love cows because there were so many where I grew up.

My favorite salsa is chile verde from Trader Joe’s. It isn’t spicy, but it’s very flavorful.
When I commuted to school I was eating a few meals in the car each day! Glad that is over.
When it comes to animals, I’m a total dog person. Also, I think I can go to the zoo and spend the whole day watching the monkeys…they are so funny!

yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy for all of the animals! I love the fair for that reason. My favorite animal is def dogs but I love so many of them! Those blueberry pancakes look out of control delicious but I think I’d get a ginormous tummy ache after eating that plate! I love all kinds of salsas- I use the regular ole tomato based the most (uhhh daily ;)).

The other two questions, I cannot answer… never had salsa (need recipes!) except out of a jar and I didn’t like it. And here in holland, people are evil… they don’t let you drive until your eighteen (5 more months to go…)

1. peach/pineapple salsas are the bomb, and I usually add beans to them. You should try mango chutney (if you haven’t already)
2. It depends what it is. If it’s a bar or some nuts or a fruit,.. then yeah. But a meal is quite difficult

Mmm I love leftover coffee – I always find uses for it (like the addition to a yummy drink) – but my favorite is to use it to make coffe ice cubes and then put them in milk – so good.
PS. I almost drooled on my desk over the pic of those peaches.
