hi, guys! i am turning the time over to a friend tonight. i have a lot to do before lindsay and katie get here tomorrow. they will be in town through sunday for us to finalize blend retreat details. i want my house to be semi-clean.. i mean, with the pups it really is never entirely clean.. but at least i can make it bearable. i am also going to see face to face tonight–one of my favorite bands of all time! i am super pumped.

 Hello, Meals and Moves readers- I’m thrilled to be back to take over Janetha’s blog for the day! I’m Lauren and I write a little blog called Oatmeal after Spinning.

As you’re reading this, I’m probably in my car, making my way across the country from Maryland to Colorado to move to my new home! In the meantime, I wanted to share something with you that I have grow to love over the last few months: Jamberry Nails!

Jamberry Nails are nail “shields” (or wraps, if you prefer) that adhere to your natural fingernails without causing any damage like an acrylic tip would. They are super easy to apply and stay on fingernails for 2 weeks, and toenails from 4-6 weeks. They come in over 250 patterns and colors, there’s no drying time, and there are no harsh chemicals. They make it easy to make your nails look amazing at home for much cheaper than normal manicures!

They’re super easy to apply (here’s a video to show you how). I became interested in Jamberry Nails after I kept seeing them on my friend Sara’s fingernails. To be honest, I never ever paint my nails, because I just don’t see the point. I use my hands a lot (who doesn’t?) and my nails are usually chipped hours after I paint them. I also have a big problem with my nails breaking easily. I usually wouldn’t gravitate towards some kind of flashy design for my nails, but thought what the heck and chose a crazy (for me) design for my first try (which you can see here!). The nail shields lasted for two weeks and allowed my nails to grow without breaking! From that point on, I was hooked!

I’ve been been pretty tough on these nails this week from all of the packing up boxes for my move- and they still look great!
