pumpkin protein shake.
this shake is great to enjoy in the fall, but also tasty any time of year!
ingredients:
- 1 cup of your favorite type of milk (i use unsweetened almond vanilla breeze)
- 1 serving of vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup pure pumpkin
- 1/2 TB cinnamon
- 1/2 TB pumpkin pie spice
- splash of vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp xanthan gum
- 1/4 tsp guar gum
- optional: sweetener of choice (agave, stevia, honey, etc)
directions:
throw all ingredients into your blender.
blend well.
serve!
this will make two BIG glassfuls, but you don’t have to share ;)

HOW DID I MISS THIS?! I am totally making this. Today.
I make the same recipe except I use 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup organic vanilla yogurt. No additional sweetner is needed since the yogurt is sweet. Lastly, like in all smoothies I add a handful of spinach which really boosts the nutrition and doesn’t change the tast at all!
This sounds delish! Going to try it tonight!!
Now that we know more about the gums….you think that would make it thicker?
