if you’ve been following my blog for a year, you might remember last december’s challenge, dedicated december.

well, i am happy to inform you that it’s BACK for december 2012! i have some great companies to sponsor the giveaway prizes each week  as well as a grand prize!

dedicated december is a challenge for you to stay active during the month of december. you will get one point/entry for EVERY workout you complete!

for each and every workout you complete in december, leave a comment on the official dedicated december page. make sure you tell us what the workout was!

examples:

  • “today i ran 3 miles in the bitter, bitter cold.”
  • “today i went snowboarding for 7 hours! yeahhh pow day!”
  • “today i went to the gym and completed a lower body workout using free weights.”
  • “today i shoveled snow for 45 minutes. i shoveled my neighbor’s driveway, too!”

sorry, but shopping, baking, or chasing your dog/kids because they got a hold of the expensive christmas gift for your mother-in-law does not count as a workout.

oh, and if you are die hard and worked out twice in one day (at separate times) then by all means leave two different comments.

every comment you leave (meaning every workout you log) counts as one entry.

i will draw a name from the comments each week and announce the winners of each weekly prize. here they are:

I’m not really worried about working out, it’s just staying away from the Christmas goodies before my wedding that I’m worried about! I am definitely going to participate though because I couldn’t last year! YAY!!

oh and P.S. Swanson is headquartered in Fargo, ND where my mom’s fam is from and really close to where we lived while in MN! Awesome, generous company. At the Fargo marathon last year, they had awesome swag bags!

but shopping is totally a workout ;) i tried a pure barre class the other day…i hardly sweated but it burned a crap ton. i am still feeling DOMS in my abs 2 days later!

Did 20 minutes of stair stepper, climbed 1.5 miles. Booya. Then did some PT exercises – lots of ball work and abs.

Is anyone else, having trouble getting the button to work on their blog? I am using blogger. The image won’t appear and when I click where the image should be I get an error. I’m not very technically minded so it is probably something really simple.

Last night i did 2.3 miles run/walk on the treadmill. I know it seems like i do the same workout every night, but i’m trying to build up to just running my 2 miles ;)

Sunday we did 4 laps around the track at the dog park. I think a lap = 1/2 mile, so i’m going with 2 miles walked…pulling a dog that is part hound and wants to sniff everything each time we walk by it :/
