hey guys! i have a lot of fun stuff from the weekend to recap, but i am really short on time as i am catching a movie in 45 minutes. we are finally going to see bridesmaids!
i didn’t want to leave you completely hanging, so i decided to show you what i got from sunflower market and costco today on my usual sunday grocery trip.
i was grocery shopping for a LONG time today, because we are completely out of several things. between me being out of town and deathly ill, it really left the cupboards and fridge bare.
first up: sunflower market.
check out P & R relaxing in their cave… wishing they got some of the goods above.
starting on the left..
- low sodium deli turkey
- ground chicken breast
- laughing cow cheese
- spirutein protein powder single serving packets (in cookies & cream and cappucino)
- cherry jam (for marshall)
in the middle.. produce fun.
- cauliflower & broccoli (precut)
- grape tomatoes
- braeburn apples
- red onions
- cute little mangos (impulse buy)
moving to the right..
- rolled oats
- shredded spoonfuls (for marshall)
- knock off kashi go lean
- onion bagels
- oat bran bread
- almond milk
- pom juice (for marshall)
some of these items were for breakfasts and lunches and i also bought the things i needed to make for my weekly dinner plan. here’s what is on our menu this week:
- spaghetti with ground chicken marinara
- stuffed bell peppers
- tofu masala with veggies
- salmon piccata and asparagus
- sweet potato black bean chicken enchiladas
i had to make a pretty hefty costco trip today. i won’t show you the non-grocery items (because paper towels, toilet paper and deodorant is boring) but i will show you the food finds.
starting from the left again!
- bell peppers
you may wonder how we go through this produce before it goes bad, since it is just the two of us. the grapes and berries go straight into the freezer and marshall uses them for his shakes. i go through spinach like a maniac.. and bell peppers are great to snack on. none of this will go bad.
in the middle..
- flavored chobani (for marshall)
- chicken breasts
- plain greek yogurt
- cottage cheese
and finally, on the right:
- black beans
- larabars (for marshall)
- sprouted wheat bread (for marshall)
i also bought two boxes of marshall’s ready to drink protein shakes.. they are on sale right now for $5 off! deal.
i put all the groceries away and laughed.. am i the only one who has a whole drawer in the fridge for chobani?
marshall is off riding his bike. so i made myself a quick and easy dinner with my new purchases.
a toasted onion bagel sandwich with laughing cow, dijon mustard, turkey, sprouts and cucumber. i LOVE this combo.
