hey guys! i don’t have time to post today. we have couch issues.
you see, we bought a big ol’ sectional for the living room on august 9th. from ashley furniture. unfortunately, a few of the pieces in the sectional were out of stock.. but they assured us we could pick everything up on the 16th.
that was yesterday.
they called yesterday and let me know that the items would not be in stock until the twenty seventh.. which is nearly 3 weeks after we purchased the furniture and, by the way, paid for it in full.
annoying. we are going to get our money back and take our business elsewhere.
just not sure where elsewhere is! that is why i have no time to post. i have a couch to find.
august 17. it has been one month since the wedding. it basically feels like the wedding was ages ago! a lot has happened in the past month.
i don’t have the professional photos on a disc yet.. because i am so dang busy and haven’t had a chance to swing by the photographer’s to place my order and whatnot.. but there are some on his website.

has it really been a month already??!! you guys have been so busy with the house. trust me i know how frustrating it is to move in and have things sit without any control! good luck on finding a new couch! i used flattened cardboard boxes for 2 weeks until our counter was delievered. that made cooking quite interesting

our couch is from JC penney and it’s moved with us from San Fran to NYC and now back to LA…i love it, its micro suede, super comfy, good value, and has held up great! (just in case you needed a rec).

girl. I am the midst of making over skylar’s room and i have posted the past 2 days about Ikea delivery b.s. from hell. It’s BEEN HELL! Dont buy from Ikea unless you can assmble it, i guess w/ a couch there’s not really much that needs to be done but just sayin; don’t count on their delivery service. I was held hostage in my house for 2 days as they proceeeded to BLOW 2 diff days and delivery windows. Fun times. Yeah.
Couch…I’d recommend West Elm. I LOVE my West Elm couches. A little more than Ashley, not as much as other places. classy and will stand the test of time. I have re-done my entire house in west elm the past few yrs and cannot say enough amazing things about their furniture in terms of quality and style :) Pottery Barn also lasts forever if you can swing$$ it. Z Gallerie is my ultimate but that’s insane$$ for most pieces.

Ugh, I feel you on the furniture woes. After much searching for the perfect black sofa, I found it, ordered it, only to be informed that it would not arrive for four weeks. I now have a kitchen dining table after a week of eating on the floor…but it sits in its box, waiting for Seth to assemble it:)
