in meals,moves

this may be one of the shortest posts i ever write.

i got to the original pancake house this morning for my usual sales meeting breakfast.. whipped out the canon to photograph my food.. no camera card.

oops. left it in the laptop! so i have no photos of my meals from 7 AM to 9 PM. yes, i’ve been on the go all day long.

i will tell you about my workout!

image

escalating 9 minute mile routine!

hop on the treadmill. do this. every 9 minutes, you will go one mile. i went three miles. you can go as many as your little heart desires.

this was lovely. just when i thought i was too tired to run any faster, it was time to go back down to 5.0 MPH and recover. then i gradually built back up to 9.0 MPH. really fun, actually. let me know if you try it!

i came home to the most fantastic package!!

i reaaaaaaaaaally a reusuable cup with a straw. it’s so hard to drink and drive sometimes. you know what i mean…

i did the stairmaster for 75 minutes today. set it on the “fat burn” so it was heart rate up and down. burned 627 calories and i’m only 105 lbs. imagine how many calories a person of more average (not midget height like me) can do!!

vanilla for me usually. i like the smoooothness.

vanilla.

I did kettlebells at the beach this morning and then went on a walk this afternoon

10 days! dude!

Chocolate for me! I cannot wait to try your treadmill run Janetha!! I think we are really similar speeds running wise and your settings are always the perfect amount of exertion for me. Yay for short legged girls! Most recent workout = 7km outside this AM. Gorg weather here.

I am Vanilla all the way if that were the only two choices, but if you were to give me more options… it would have to be moose tracks!!
I worked out a bit today, I went to an hour of Zumba and then did an intense class of pilates!! I felt great after, but then had to go home and do boring homework.
GOOD LUCK with the last 10 days of wedding planning!! I am sure that you will have a GREAT day!! :)

Hope they still have them!

Oh my goodness! Your wedding is so soon! You must be getting so excited! And I choose vanilla!

I love the treadmill run! I do mine on a 5 minute round, 5 for a minute, then 6, then, 7, 8, and 9. I only finish the mile in 10 minutes, but it’s the same idea. It’s so much easier for me to push myself if I know that recovery is on the way. I mean, Jillian, says that running in cycles like that is best, so it must be true! ha!

Also, I was wondering where you get your xanthan gum (spelling?). I’ve never heard of it. But I need something to make my smoothies better before my fruit goes bad. I want it to feel more smoothie-ish. And, since I like the protein you suggested, I thought I’d ask about the xanthan.

Good luck with all the wedding planning! I got married around the same time last year. You will feel relieved and ecstatic. Just get through these next few weeks and enjoy the honeymoon!

Vanilla!

I went to the gym yesterday, and because I haven’t gone in a long time it was depressing, but I’m glad I went! There was a lot of “eeeeeergh” and “grunt” noices going on while lifting weight some of the beefcakes there could probably have thrown using their eyelashes, hahaha…

Reply

13 Tay July 6, 2010 at 10:39 pm

so close so close so close!!!

1. Chocolate everything EXCEPT anything ice cream/froyo related. I hate chocolate ice cream for some reason! Okay hate is a strong word. Can never hate ice cream. I just like vanilla better.

2. 3.97 mile run this evening. Okay, let’s just say 4 miles. There we go.

Reply

14 Sara @ Nourish and Flourish July 6, 2010 at 11:49 pm

VANILLA all the way! Especially vanilla ice cream with little vanilla bean speckles in it. Yum!

I still need to try your protein frosty! What’s preventing me from giving it a go? That darn xanthan gum! I need to just bite the bullet and buy it.

Last workout was a 6K treadmill interval workout this morning. :-)

chocolate! Tho when it comes to ice cream, I say vanilla – with chunks and swirls. I can’t do it plain!

Reply

20 Lauren July 7, 2010 at 3:50 am

I like a little of both in my life. The classic twist is my cup of tea but the close contender would be vanilla with tons of rainbow sprinkles!

Have a fantastic week darling! :)

Okay, I’m going shopping today and I seriously want one of those cups from Old Navy. Must try to make it there before the day is over.

Reply

23 fitnessandsunshine July 7, 2010 at 5:05 am

Definitely vanilla, it’s way more versatile. You can just add cocoa powder if you want some chocolate flavor.

I was so tired and lazy getting up out of bed this morning but I did a full body workout and feel great now. :)

24 hayleycepeda July 7, 2010 at 5:36 am

Wow…that is a true friend!! Taking the time to make a hand-written card (and the cutest drawing!!!) and then send you something you’ve been pining for – I love it!! It’s great how Bloggie Land really allows for the making of such great friendships! Ok enough corn & cheese…

VANILLA all the way – no hesitation there whatsoever.

My last workout was not long ago – 30 minutes jogging (slogging?) on the treadmill and then 20 on the elliptical. Yesterday’s workout was much more exciting though…3 sets of 9 different exercises with 3 minute cardio intervals thrown in every 3 exercises. I have no idea if that makes any sense…”placenta head” strikes again! :)

Reply

25 Talia July 7, 2010 at 5:40 am

I love that reusable plastic cup. I’ve gotta get me one!

Chocolate will always be my first in my book! Mmm Mmm Good!

I did 30 minutes intense elliptical paired with 10 minutes INSANE stair climber.

AHHH HOLLY IS SO FRICKIN TALENTED. I wish I could draw. I admire artwork instead of making it.

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! But I have a weakness for anything with vanilla beans. Love those specs.

I did No More Trouble Zones this morning. It was the first time I’ve done Surrenders and they’re killer. Gahhh.

This workout sounds awesome. Seeing it kind of makes me miss running. Gotta back into it. Maybe this week :)
I just put that cup on my to-buy list. I literally was thinking this morning that something like that must exist. Apparently I was right. ;)
9 days left now, right? Awesomeness.
PS – LOVE that card.

1. Chocolate…it’s wierd when I was younger it was vanilla. How things change! Haha!
2. My last workout was my Karate class. I was sweating so hard! It was the first day of Black Belt Training, so the workout was a lot harder than usual. :-)

Ah! I think every blog I’ve read today has eaten a protein Frosty! They’re just so dang good. Nomnomnom. But I’m completely a chocolate person–the darker the better! I can eat cocoa powder by the spoonful, hahah. My most recent workout was a 3 mile run this morning! I’m not worried about speed right now… just want to get the miles under my feet and build up a solid base.

There was a time when I would have said vanilla, but these days I’m a chocolate girl :D

My most recent work out was yesterday morning. Twas a 12 mile bike ride with Brian … 14 mph ave (I’m slooooooooow, but getting faster). We rode down to Newport Back Bay and back. I’m all about the out and back rides bc… well, it makes it seem like the way back is so much shorter. That and having the ocean breeze at our BACKS makes it that much more fun.

AHHHHHHHHHHH ! 10 days!!!!! SO freakin excited for you and Marshall :D

okay, chocolate. mmmm delicious chocolate.

I’m going to try your 9 minute miles. I’m both scared and excited.

I’m excited for you and Marshall. :)
