I couldn’t be more jealous happy for Janetha who’s probably got her toes deep in the warm sand by now……..what was I just talking about? I drifted off for a moment there. I’ll have to stop drinking pina coladas in her honor.

My meals and moves are nothing compared that woman. She’s totally got it going on while I’m lucky to throw together a few items that add up to my sanctioned number of calories and hopefully get in a workout when I can.

  • my meal:
  • This is the most boring answer ever but my favorite meal is my morning smoothie:


    The ingredients get changed up but it’s basically

  • 1 cup frozen berries from Costco
  • 1 T Flax oil or ground seed
  • Protein powder (J Robb, Bee Sure, or Amazing Meal)
  • ½ cup fruit/vegetable juice + ½ cup water
  • 1 Emergen-C packet (usually Acai flavor)
  • and a big hunkin’ handful of spinach
  • I’ve had some version of this shake almost every morning for the last 3 years, so clearly I’d have a hard time getting by without it.

  • my move:
  • As far as moves go, I’m a reformed high-impact aerobicizer so I do mostly walking, yoga, bike and Precor. My favorite move of the past few weeks has been Standing Mountain Climbers from Jillian Michaels’ Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout. Mostly because I’m so darn grateful I don’t have to do them on the ground!

REformed high-impact aerobicizer! Funny- and must be due to some injuries? Or just a normal dislike for high impact aerobics :-)

PS I’m totally down with you on the daily morning smoothie with small alterations. That’s how I roll too. I try to mix it up but I always come back to the berry-based version!
