  • my name: I’m Jenny, the 21 year old blogger
  • where i live: I currently reside in Oxford, MS, where I am beginning my final semester at Ole Miss. As a psychology major, I’ve applied to some graduate programs in Clinical Psychology, so my next step is a bit up in the air :)
  • my blog: This Winding Road
  • my move: When it comes to moves, I try to incorporate a bit of everything in my routine. Lately I have been loving lower body strength training. Specifically:
    • Hamstring Curls on a Stability Ball

    1. Begin with you ankles resting on the ball (pictured above)

    2. Raise your hips off the ground.

    3.  Roll the ball towards you, engaging your lower body muscles, and keeping your hips raised off of the ground.

  • my meal: I make it no secret to my readers that breakfast is one meal I could eat all day everyday and never get bored. I just love breakfast foods! Specifically, the peanut butter+banana combo.

One way that I especially love to enjoy peanut butter and bananas is via overnight oats.

To Make:

The night before, I combine:

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats (not instant)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • cinnamon
  • 1 packet of sweetener (optional)

In the morning:

  • slice banana (I mix half the banana into the oats, and slice the other half on top)
  • sprinkle with more cinnamon
  • big glob of peanut butter (or your nut butter of choice)

I LOVE this breakfast! It’s so quick and convenient and it tastes amazing! Stop by and let me know if you try it!

Big thanks to Janetha, and I’m sure we can agree that we can’t wait to hear about her Jamaica adventures when she gets back!

That ham curl on the ball is a tough tough move- I always NEARLY get a cramp- but then I’m good and sore the next day. You know I’ve never ever tried overnight oats. I’ll have to do that to see what all the fuss is about :-)

That is one of my favourite moves for strengthening my weak hips!! I’ll have to try your overnight oats – I’m still learning to like them :)

I have been dying to try a new oatmeal combination. I will definitely be trying this one. Thank for the idea!
